Abstract

Abstrak:Penelitian ini bertujuan mengembangkan permainan “Bermain Pola” yang layak, dan mengetahui efektivitas permainan tersebut dalam meningkatkan kemampuan spasial. Permainan "Bermain pola" ini dikembangkan untuk melatih siswa sekolah dasar  mengidentifikasi sifat-sifat bangun datar. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian dan pengembangan. Permainan yang dikembangkan harus layak ditinjau dari aspek pendefinisian, perancangan, bahasa, kesesuaian dengan indikator pembelajaran serta pemilihan gambar yang tepat. Uji coba terbatas dan luas  dilakukan di SDK (Sekolah Dasar Katolik) Kumba 1 dilengkapi dengan aturan permainannya serta perangkat pembelajaran berupa RPP, LKS, tes kemampuan spasial, lembar observasi aktivitas siswa, lembar pengamatan kemampuan guru dalam mengelola pembelajaran, dan angket respons siswa terhadap permainan tersebut. Sedangkan media bantu pembelajaran yang diperlukan adalah pola-pola bangun datar, stopwatch dan peluit.  Data kemampuan spasial pada penelitian ini dikumpulkan menggunakan tes uraian. Efektivitas permainan terhadap kemampuan spasial diuji dengan menggunakan one sample t-test, dengan menggunakan kriteria ketuntasan minimal sebesar 65. Hasil penelitian ini menghasilkan permainan “Bermain Pola” serta penggunaannya yang efektif terhadap kemampuan spasial siswa Sekolah Dasar.Abstract:This study aimed to developing a decent "Playing Pattern" game, and knowing the effectiveness of the game in improving spatial abilities. This "Play pattern" game was developed to train elementary school students to identify 2-dimensional build properties. The research method used was Research and Development (R & D). The game developed must be feasible in terms of defining aspects, design, language, conformity with learning indicators and the selection of appropriate images. Limited and extensive trials conducted at SDK (Catholic Primary School) Kumba 1 with the rules of the game as well as learning tools in the form of RPP, LKS, spatial ability tests, observation sheets of student activities, observation sheet teacher's ability to manage learning, and student response questionnaires to the game. Whereas the needed learning aid media were flat, stopwatch and whistle wake patterns. Data on spatial ability in this study were collected using description tests. The effectiveness of the game on spatial ability was tested using one sample t-test, using minimum completeness criteria of 65. The results of this study slowed that in the game "Playing Pattern" and its effective use of spatial abilities of elementary school students.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the effect of using an android application compared to conventional teaching materials on Trigonometry courses on the mathematical communication skills of student candidates regarding personality type. The research method was used quasi-experiment with the population of first grade at Department of Mathematics Education of STKIP Santu Paulus Ruteng and the sample was taken from 2 classes. Data were through by questionnaires and mathematical communication test which were then analyzed by two-way ANOVA test. Data analysis and interpretation showed that: (1) students who were taught using the help of Android-based teaching materials had better mathematical communication skills than students taught conventionally; (2) there was an interaction between learning media and personality type on mathematical communication skills. The findings point to recommendations that the use of appropriate instructional media could be used to improve students' mathematical communication skills and would facilitate the learning process of mathematics.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the difference of the mathematical communication skills improvement of students who obtained mathematical learning by problem-solving of scientific approach and Number Head Together (NHT) of cooperative learning and the students who obtained mathematical learning through the use of problem-solving approach only. This research is a quasi-experimental study with nonequivalent control group design. The population of this study was 274 students of 8th-grade who were distributed to seven classes. The samples taken were two classes, each of which consisted of 41 students for the experimental class and 42 students for the control class. The data were analyzed to compare students' mathematical communication skills using descriptive statistics and inferential statistics t-test. The result of this research showed that the mathematical communication skills improvement through the application of problem-solving of scientific approach and NHT of cooperative learning was higher than the mathematical communication skills of students who used a problem-solving approach only.

Abstract

ABSTRACTHigher Education must conduct community service. Community service is a variety of activities by socio-cultural conditions of society. One of the villages targeted for the service is the village of Lewur. The village is one of the communities located in West Manggarai Regency. Villagers of Lewur mostly have livelihoods as farmers, because Lewur found in areas of hills and valleys and high rainfall, with sufficient agricultural land area, so it is potential to continue to develop. The devotion activities undertaken are the Sanitasi and the Natas Lewur Children program. Sanitation program is carried out in the form of cleaning the village area around the neighbourhood of the garden and residents' houses and roads around the village. The Natas Lewur Children Program implemented in the form of unique guidance for children, based on local natural and cultural resources. This activity is in the way of tutoring and Scouting, designed in the style of games. Also, the the Natas Lewur Children program organised activities for teachers in the village, by conducting mathematical software training. Based on the evaluation results, this program can increase public awareness about hygiene as well as the importance of education. Indicators of program success are the cleaner village environment and the continuous running of the Natas Lewur Children group run by teachers and youths in the village. Keywords: Sanitation Program, Natas Lewur Children. ABSTRAKPerguruan Tinggi wajib menyelenggarakan pengabdian masyarakat. Pengabdian masyarakat merupakan berbagai bentuk kegiatan sesuai dengan kondisi sosial budaya masyarakat. Salah satu desa yang menjadi sasaran pelaksanaan pengabdian adalah desa Lewur. Desa tersebut adalah salah satu desa yang terletak di Kabupaten Manggarai Barat. Penduduk desa Lewur sebagian besar memiliki mata pencaharian sebagai petani, karena berada di wilayah yang perbukitan dan lembah serta curah hujan yang cukup tinggi, dengan luas areal pertanian  cukup, sehingga sangat berpotensi untuk terus dikembangkan. Kegiatan pengabdian yang dilakukan adalah program Sanitasi dan Anak Natas Lewur. Program Sanitasi yang dilakukan berupa pembersihan wilayah desa di sekitar lingkungan kebun dan rumah warga serta jalan raya di sekitar desa tersebut. Program Anak Natas Lewur yang dilaksanakan berupa bimbingan khusus bagi anak-anak, yang berbasis kekayaan alam dan budaya setempat. Kegiatan ini berupa bimbingan belajar dan Pramuka, yang dirancang dalam bentuk permainan. Selain itu, Program Anak Natas lewur mengadakan kegiatan bagi para guru di desa tersebut, dengan mengadakan pelatihan software matematika. Berdasarkan hasil evaluasi, program ini dapat meningkatkan kesadaran masyarakat tentang kebersihan serta pentingnya pendidikan. Indikator keberhasilan program adalah, lingkungan desa yang semakin bersih, dan tetap berjalannya kelompok Anak Natas Lewur yang dikelola oleh guru dan para pemuda di desa tersebut. Kata Kunci: Program Sanitasi, Anak Natas Lewur.
