Abstract

Abstract: The purpose of this study is to know the contribution of paragraph knowledge to the skill of argument writing. Because at this time it appears that knowledge of the writing or paragraph less attention in writing. Though good writing is also seen from the writing or knowledge of paragraphs are good as well. While in the skill of argumentation writing, the student still difficulties in giving opinion or opinion of phenomenon that happened and actual moment at this time. This research method using descriptive correlational design. The population of this study are students of Indonesian Education Studies Program BP 20016/2017 which amounted to 30 people. Based on the result of research that the average knowledge of paragraph is 32,25. And the contribution of paragraph knowledge to argumentation writing skills is 12%. So it can be concluded that the knowledge of paragraphs affect the skill of writing argumentation of students of Bung Hatta University School of Education, but the knowledge of the paragraph is very less that seen from the average class.Abstrak: Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui kontribusi pengetahuan paragraf terhadap keterampilan menulis argumentasi. Karena pada saat ini terlihat bahwa pengetahuan terhadap tata tulis atau paragraf kurang diperhatikan dalam menulis. Padahal tulisan yang baik itu juga dilihat dari tata tulis atau pengetahuan terhadap paragraf yang baik pula. Sedangkan pada keterampilan menulis argumentasi, mahasiswa masih kesulitan dalam memberikan opini atau pendapat fenomena yang terjadi dan teraktual pada saat sekarang ini. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan rancangan deskriptif korelasional. Populasi penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa Program Studi Pendidikan Bahasa Indonesia BP 20016/2017 yang berjumlah 30 orang. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian bahwa rata-rata pengetahuan paragraf adalah 32,25. Serta kontribusi pengetahuan paragraf terhadap keterampilan menulis argumentasi sebesar 12%. Maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa pengetahuan paragraf berpengaruh terhadap keterampilan menulis argumentasi mahasiswa Program Studi Pendidikan Bahasa Indonesia Universitas Bung Hatta, akan tetapi pengetahuan terhadap paragraf sangat kurang yang dilihat dari rata-rata kelas.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the weakening of cultural treasures due to the development of the times and technology and modernization. The culture in the Kamang Mudiak area, one of which is in the form of oral literature, is unknown and known to the younger generation. Whereas knowing culture and preserving it is part of strengthening local culture so that it does not disappear with the development of time. Therefore, this study focuses on the social function of the kamang mudiak folklore: strengthening local cultural heritage. It aims to describe the social function of the oral literary text of the Kanagarian folklore Kamang Mudiak. The research method used is descriptive qualitative method. The data of this research are folklore texts in Kanagarian Kamang Mudiak. Data was collected through recording, recording, observing, and interviewing. Meanwhile, to test the validity of the data, this study used triangulation techniques. The results of the study indicate that there are social functions in the Kamang Mudiak folklore text, namely: (a) developing community integration contained in the story text Ngalau Kalam Tabik, Makam Panjang, Salodang, Tuanku Nan Renceh/ Harimau Nan Salapan, Ngalau Tarang Batu Biaro Bansa. (b) (b) Social Control Tools contained in the story text Salodang, Tuanku Nan Renceh/ Harimau Nan Salapan, Ngalau Tarang Batu Biaro Bansa. (c) Strengthening social solidarity contained in the story

Abstract

Abstrak. Artikel ini membahas permasalahan tentang fungsi kesenian rakyat dalam penataan sanggar budaya lokal. Upaya tersebut muncul disebabkan oleh pengaruh budaya asing ke dalam kehidupan masyarakat Indonesia yang kaya akan nilai-nilai budaya yang berakar dari budaya daerah/kearifan lokal. Hal tersebut menyebabkan bergesernya bahkan mengikis kebudayaan/kearifan lokal yang menjadi kebanggan segenap warga negara Indonesia. Oleh sebab itu, perlu adanya upaya dalam menyikapi permasalahan tersebut. Salah satu upaya yang dapat dilakukan adalah mendirikan sanggar budaya lokal sehingga dapat memberikan penyadaran kepada masyarakat, khususnya generasi muda tentang arti penting menjaga dan merawat kebudayaan. Adapun langkah-lankah dalam mendiri sanggar budaya lokal adalah (1) wadah yang khas, (2) wadah yang efisien dan fleksibel, dan (3) wadah yang permanenKata kunci: fungsi, kesenian rakyat, penataan, sanggar Abstract. This article discusses the issue of the function of folk art in structuring the local culture. These efforts arise due to the influence of foreign culture into the lives of Indonesian people who are rich in cultural values rooted in local culture / local wisdom. This causes shifting and even eroding local culture / wisdom which is the pride of all Indonesian citizens. Therefore, efforts need to be made in addressing these problems. One effort that can be done is to establish a local cultural studio so that it can provide awareness to the community, especially the younger generation about the importance of maintaining and caring for culture. The steps in establishing a local cultural workshop are (1) a typical container, (2) an efficient and flexible container, and (3) a permanent container. Keywords: function, folk art, structuring, studio

Abstract

Minangkabau custom and tradition has a sets of rules for women, so that they can maintain their privileges. One of the rules is called Sumbang Duo Baleh. However, today, the rules tend to be violated. This can be seen in the behavior of female students at school. This study aims to determine students' understanding of Sumbang Duo Baleh as a prohibition on behavior and character building, implementation of the culture of Minang women, and re-encouraging these rules at high school at West Sumatera. The research data was collected by observation, questionnaire and  interview to the teachers, The results of this study are as follows: (1) female students did not understand the rules of Sumbang Duo Balehas a prohibition in behaving. This is due to the generation that many women who have forgotten their identity as Minang women, (2) From the results of interviews with teachers, the character building of female students do not implement and socialize the rules existing in the traditional Tambo. To recultivate the understanding towards Sumbang Duo Baleh culture by socializing and implementing the ins and outs of the rules during learning process and extracurricular activities at school. AbstrakAdat Minangkabau menetapkan suatu aturan kepada perempuan, agar ia bisa menjaga keistimewaannya. Salah satu aturannya adalah sumbang duo baleh. Kenyataannya pada perempuan zaman sekarang, aturan perempuan Minang tersebut, cenderung dilanggar. Hal ini terlihat pada tingkah laku siswa perempuan di sekolah yang telah melanggar aturan budaya Minang yang dituangkan dalam sumbang duo baleh seperti : sumbang duduak, sumbang tagak, sumbang jalan, sumbang kato, sumbang caliak, sumbang makan, sumbang pakai, sumbang karajo, sumbang tanyo, sumbang jawek, sumbang bagaua, sumbang kurenah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengimplementasikan budaya Minang melalui sumbang duo baleh, dalam rangka pembentukan karakter perempuan Minang di sekolah menengah di Sumatera Barat. Sedangkan metode yang digunakan adalah metode kualitatif dengan menggunakan pendekatan studi kasus yang menghasilkan data deskriptif. Data penelitian dikumpulkan dengan cara observasi, angket melalui google form dan wawancara  dengan beberapa guru. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa :  (1) Ditemukan pelanggaran sumbang duo baleh pada siswa perempuan pada masing-masing tingkatan kelas dalam berperilaku seperti sumbang duduak, sumbang tagak, sumbang bagaua, sumbang kato,  sumbang karajo, sumbang caliak, sumbang makan , sumbang jalan. Hal ini disebabkan generasi perempuan banyak yang telah melupakan jati dirinya sebagai seorang perempuan Minang, (2) Dari hasil wawancara dengan guru, pembentukan karakter siswa perempuan minang tidak mencerminkan budaya perempuan Minang. Salah satu faktor penyebabnya adalah banyaknya orang tua di rumah yang tidak menyampaikan lagi masalah aturan yang ada dalam tambo adat. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa untuk pembentukan karakter dan jati diri perempuan Minang diperlukan implementasi pemahaman sumbang duo baleh, dengan cara mensosialisasikan dan mengimplementasikan seluk beluk sumbang duo baleh pada saat PBM dan ekstrakurikuler.

Abstract

This paper aims to describe locality satire of Minangkabau in the humorous prose of Minangkabau language by Heru Joni Putra. This research is descriptive qualitative with data in the form of words that can be formulated as locality satire of Minangkabau. This study uses an anthropological approach to explain the language, society, and culture that is told in the story. Based on the results of data identification, the locality satire of Minangkabau in Minangkabau prose by Heru Joni Putra is a critical attitude towards human behavior, political systems, culture, and so on, which is mediated by language. The criticism of these weaknesses is stated in order to remind those who are criticized to make improvements ethically and aesthetically to the things intended by the author. Wise readers will assume that literary works, including HJP's Minang humorous prose, are fictitious stories that basically do not contain only realist content. Through a pralogical and satirical way of expressing, the author as a creator has the right to convey his ideas through the creative process he does, as well as the function of journalists when writing essays, articles, or the like.

Abstract

This paper aims to describe the use of the satirical language style of Minangkabau ethnic authors in Minangkabau local color prose. This study is as the effort to revitalize and document intangible heritage, namely the satirical language of the Minangkabau locality. This study is motivated by the lack of readers or researchers who attempt to identify, describe, deconstruct concepts, to provide an understanding of the Minangkabau local language in prose, especially satire. Data collection techniques were carried out by identifying and classifying data of Minangkabau local satire style by stabilizing words, phrases, clauses, or sentences which were then formulated as forms and examples of Minangkabau local satire style using the format of identification and classification of data. Satire is used as a critique about people or objects being observed. Of course, the weakness is meant not merely to human nature/behavior, but other things that deserve to be criticized, such as political conditions, cultural dynamics, bureaucratic systems, moral, social, economic degradation, and so on that are carried out by humans. This is the motive of Heru Joni Putra, Dt. Panduko Alam, and Ambas Mahkota in using satire. The main goal is to make ethical and aesthetic improvements to the object being criticized.

Abstract

Tradisi adalah kebiasaan sosial yang diwariskan dari generasi ke generasi. Tradisi memberikan aturan tentang apa yang dianggap benar dan salah oleh masyarakat. Tabuik adalah warisan budaya yang telah ada di Pariaman selama dua abad yang lalu. Ini adalah ritual atau upacara adat. Tabuik adalah perayaan tahunan masyarakat Pariaman yang diadakan dari tanggal 1 hingga 10 Muharram. Diadakan untuk mengingat kematian Husein Bin Abi Thalib, cucu Nabi Muhammad SAW, di Padang Karbela, yang ditunjukkan dengan usungan keranda Tabuik sebagai simbol jasad Husein. Persiapan, pelaksanaan, dan penyelenggaraan upacara melibatkan banyak orang.Studi ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan peran dan partisipasi generasi muda dalam melestarikan tradisi Tabuik dari Pariaman, Sumatera barat. Tradisi ini telah menjadi warisan turun temurun yang dilakukan setiap tahun. Selain itu, untuk mengetahui pendapat masyarakat tentang kepekaan generasi muda terhadap pengetahuan tentang kebudayaan dan adat istiadat lain di Sumatera Barat. Teori yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah teori struktur fungsional dan teori peran. Menurut teori fungsionalitas, masyarakat memiliki sistem sosial yang saling berhubungan. Menurut teori peran, perubahan cara berpikir generasi muda menyebabkan perbedaan, sehingga hak dan kewajiban harus dilaksanakan sesuai dengan fungsinya masing-masing.elas bahwa partisipasi generasi muda sangat penting dalam pelestarian dan pengembangan suatu budaya. Perananan generasi muda dapat membantu kemajuan negara. Keikutserataan generasi muda dalam menjaga dan mengembangkan tradisi Tabuik dapat memastikan bahwa perayaan Tabuik akan tetap ada dan tidak akan hilang oleh kemajuan zaman.
