Abstract

The research discusses the development history of Ponorogo batik motif  in Ponorogo Regency 2007-2014 and its Educational Values. Ponorogo is one area which is growing in batik motif that has general motive called Reog Ponorogo motive. The development of batik in Ponorogo had decreased and 2007 was a year that was resurrection of batik Ponorogo pioneered by batik artisans. The method used in this research is the method of historical research. The results showed that batik Ponorogo begins with the temporary extinction of batik Ponorogo around 1960 which is caused by the emergence of printing of batik (print screen printing batik),batik Ponorogo has 17 patterns that are most influenced by history or the icon Ponorogo regency, and the development of batik Ponorogo motive that was experiencing growth from 2007 to 2009 that has seven classical motives then the development of contemphorery in 2009 and 2013 had five contemporary motives thenThe developments in 2014 that the government arranged a contest batik Ponorogo design batik produced five batik Ponorogo motive.

Abstract

The current study, which is a classroom action research, aims to improve: (1) the learning process; and (2) the social skill and civics learning outcome of the XI graders of TITL vocational high school of SMK Gamaliel 1 Madiun through implementing PBL assisted by digital literacy. This involved 35 students and lasted from August 2019 to February 2020. Data were gathered through (1) interview, (2) observation, (3) document, (4) assignments/tests. On the basis of the 4 cycles, it was found that the average score of the social skill of: cycle 1 was 61.23; cycle 2 was 72.03; cycle 3 was 82.09. There was improvement as much as 10.80 from cycle 1 to cycle 2, and 10.06 from cycle 2 to cycle 3. Regarding learning outcome, the average scores were: cycle 1 = 65.00; cycle 2 = 71.14, and cycle 3 = 76.71. There were, therefore, improvement as much as 6.15 from cycle 1 to cycle 2 and 5.57 from cycle 2 to cycle 3. To put in brief, implementing PBL assisted by digital literacy to the XI graders of TITL vocational high school of SMK Gamaliel 1 Madiun improved their: (1) social skill, and (2) civics learning outcome.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the application of Problem Based Learning aided by Microsoft PowerPoint in improving social studies learning outcomes for SMP Negeri 2 Madiun. This class action research uses the Kemmis and Mc Taggart model, which includes planning, action, observation, and reflection. This research uses qualitative and quantitative analysis techniques. Data analysis techniques used in this study focus on three assessments, namely the assessment of the cognitive, affective, and psychomotor domains. This study was carried out in the even semester of 2019/2020 school year. The minimum completeness criteria for social studies subjects in the 2013 curriculum for 8th grade students is 75. The study concludes that the Problem Based Learning (PBL) Model assisted by Microsoft PowerPoint can improve the learning outcomes of Social Studies in 8th grade of SMP Negeri 2 Madiun
