Abstract

Raw material inventory control is a series of things to determine the level of inventory, the time of purchase and the amount of inventory that must be provided. The Economic Order Quantity (EOQ) method is one of the inventory management techniques by considering storage costs and ordering costs. The value is generated by the term reorder point. This value is used to place orders that the company needs to place. 44 units, 68 units, and 36 units are the quantities needed by PT XYZ in every order. So PT XYZ had to do 46 times, 73 times, and 27 unit orders to fulfill their needs.

Abstract

Abstract - The ‘kerem’ production process is the earliest process of the entire process in iron casting. The brake itself is a mandatory thing in an iron foundry company because it functions as a limiter of the inner diameter of an iron casting product or more simply as a hole in iron casting products. With the analysis carried out using seven tools, it is expected to be able to obtain actual data to improve the quality of brake production, look for factors that affect brake quality, control the number of rejects, countermeasures, repairs, and standardization. The biggest problems with defects in the production of brakes are porous, broken, cracked and not full sand. From the aspect of 4M + 1E, the Man factor is the dominant cause of brake defects. Meanwhile, the number of rejects outside the 2.5% AQL limit was 6 times, namely on 8 July 2021 as many as 16 pcs (AQL 2.5% was at 10 pcs). Then on July 17, 2021 as many as 15 pcs (2.5% AQL at 13 pcs) on July 18 2021 as many as 30 pcs (2.5% AQL at 2 pcs) on July 20 2021 as many as 25 pcs (AQL 2.5% was at 12.63) on 27 July 2021 as many as 20 pcs (AQL 2.5% was at 19 pcs) and finally on August 5, 2021 as many as 30 pcs (AQL 2.5% was at 12.6 pcs).

Abstract

Abstract - PT.I is a company that produces synthetic rattan furniture on an export scale. The various products at PT.I are an attraction for consumers, such as classic and modern weaving models. However, the number of defects produced is higher than the tolerance limit company. Based on data from the weaving section, it shows that there are 5 types of defects that are not in accordance with the standards and quality that have been determined by the company. The purpose of this study is to identify the types of defects that often occur in PT. I and identify the main factors causing product defects using the SPC method. The seven tools consist of a check sheet, histogram, stratification, scatter diagram, p control chart, Pareto diagram, and fishbone diagram. The results showed that the number of defects in October and November exceeded the limit set by the company. The highest level of disability occurred in October. The higher the number of production, the higher the number of product defects. Based on the results of the p control chart, it can be seen that the product is outside the control limits that it should have. The process is in a state of uncontrollability or is still experiencing deviations. To suppress or reduce the number of product defects that occur in production, 3 types of dominant defects can be applied, namely the woven model (254 units), loose woven (122 units), and nail-looking woven (119 units). Factors causing defects in production are derived from human factors/workers, methods, materials/raw materials and work environment.

Abstract

Abstract

Abstract[Improvement on Working System Based on Xylene Exposure Analysis on Employee of  Oil Refinery XYZ] The State Oil and Gas Mining Company (Pertamina) operates several oil refineries in the country. Operations and processes at oil refinery contain chemicals in gasoline. So, it is important to measure the concentration of xylene concentration, see which affects and provide design improvements for appropriate occupational health and safety measures. Sampling was carried out on 16 workers who had a higher risk of xylene exposure. The procedure for taking and analyzing samples refers to Gastec 122DL. The test used to analyze the facts uses the difference test and display test. Workers at oil refinery. Workers who have a significant effect on the concentration of xylene exposure are age (U = 13,329), K3 practice (U = 26,124), use of PPE (U = 9,042), smoking habits (U = 85), the amount of gasoline available (U = 0.891) and installation (U = 18.032). The design of improvements that can be realized in the short term is the use of PPE and standing in opposite directions the wind. Keywords: exposure analysis; repair work system; Xylene.

Abstract

Work posture or work attitude is all forms of movement that a person does while working. A good work posture is called ergonomics, which is the science of applying and adjusting work positions so as to minimize the occurrence of injuries while working. Every aspect requires a good working position, including the technical service technicians of PT. PLN ULP Kendal. This research is a qualitative field research in the form of analysis on technical service technicians of PT. PLN ULP Kendal. Data were obtained by using questionnaires and field observations. The researcher distributed questionnaires to the technicians and then observed the technicians' work positions using the field observation method. Furthermore, the results of the questionnaire were calculated using the Nordic Body Map table formula and stated that most technicians felt pain in the waist with 7 officers feeling sick. Then the results of the observations were analyzed using the REBA method and resulted in a REBA score of 3 and entered the Action Level 1 category which means the Risk Level is "Low".
