Abstract

Penggunaan separator pada sumur produksi merupakan suatu langkah untuk mengurangi tekanan, memisahkan fluida dalam bentuk fase yang berbeda dan memperoleh fase dengan kondisi yang lebih stabil. Simulasi penggunaan separator dengan bantuan software Hysis digunakan untuk mendapatkan jumlah tahap dan tekanan optimum untuk masing masing separator dengan tujuan untuk mendapatkan jumlah fase cair yang terbaik. Perolehan optimum fase cair dalam tangki penyimpanan diperoleh pada tekanan separator 100 psia dengan metode dua tahap sedangkan metode tiga tahap diperoleh pada tekanan pada separator pertama 200 psia dan tekanan separator kedua 100 psia.Kata Kunci: multistage separator, Hysis, simulation

Abstract

Environmental problems caused by petroleum-derived plastic waste has become an important issue because it is difficult to degrade the environment. Therefore, attempts have been made to speed up the process of degradation of the polymer material is to replace synthetic polymers with natural poimer. Starch is a natural polymer that can be used for the production of material that is easily degraded, the raw material is abundant, but has a weakness in its mechanical properties. To improve the mechanical strength of starch, a reinforcing material in the form of inorganic material is usually added in a polymer matrix. In addition to improving shelf life in a plastic made from natural polymers required additional antimicrobial. Therefore, bioplastics prepared by mixing cassava starch as a matrix, glycerol as a plasticizer, ZnO as an amplifier, and clove oil as an antimicrobial. The optimum conditions to produce bioplastics with the highest tensile strength of 23.40 kgf /mm2 given by the addition of 0.8% of ZnO and 0.4 ml clove oil. While the highest percent elongation on the addition of ZnO 1% and 0.4 ml clove oil which is 346.00%. Based on the test results of water resistance and biodegradability, clove oil shown to inhibit the growth of microorganisms bioplastics and bioplastic IR spectra do not show any new functional group.

Abstract

This gas source that comes from the bowels of the earth contains many impurities and heavy hydrocarbons, both of which must be separated or even eliminated. To purify the treated gas to prevent damage to process equipment or pipe clogging. The removal process includes H2S removal, CO2 removal, oily water removal, mercury removal, and water content removal in natural gas. This study aims to determine the effect of flow rate and ambient temperature differences on the performance of the wellstream cooler and the level of efficiency of the heat transfer process in the wellstream cooler. Observations will be focused on the offshore platform wellstream cooler cooling system at PT. PHE NSO. Based on observational data, the results obtained using the Hysys method by entering the required data completely, Hysys will automatically perform calculations according to what is required and the calculation results will be plotted in graphical form. Heat transfer efficiency based on Hysys application calculations all show results of 99%. Thus it can be seen the effect of changes in flow rate and ambient temperature on the heat transfer process. The greater the flow rate, the greater the heat transfer that occurs and the higher the ambient temperature, the smaller the heat transfer occurs, so that the lower the ambient temperature, the more effective the heat transfer occurs.

Abstract

Kegiatan Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat (PKM) dilakukan pada mitra masyarakat ekonomi produktif pengahasil bawang goreng kemasan di desa Mon Geuddong Kota Lhokseumawe Kecamatan Banda Sakti Provinsi Aceh. Permasalahan yang dihadapi mitra adalah pada bidang produksi dimana proses pengrajangan bawang menggunakan pisau iris membutuhkan waktu yang lama dan kapasitas produksi maksimum hanya 0,5 kg/jam atau 8 kg/hari. Sehingga kegiatan PKM ini bertujuan untuk memecahkan permasalahan  produksi dengan ketidaksiapan mitra dalam memenuhi permintaan konsumen adalah dengan mengimplementasikan mesin perajang bawang segar otomatis berbahan stainless steel foodgrade dapat dioperasikan dengan cepat, praktis, ekonomis, dan  menghasilkan bawang rajang yang seragam.  Pelaksanaan PKM dilakukan di lokasi mitra dimulai dengan observasi tim pelaksana PKM ke lokasi mitra, pembekalan materi, perancangan mesin pengrajang bawang, demonstrasi, pengoperasian, dan perawatan.   Hasil implementasi mesin rajang terbukti dapat meningkatkan kapasitas produksi bawang rajang dari 0,5 kg/jam menjadi 12 kg/jam atau meningkatkan kapasitas bawang goreng dari 3,5 kg/hari menjadi 35 kg/hari

Abstract

The circulation process is a process to make pipes in the LNG industry always in LNG operational cryogenic temperature condition -160° C. The LNG circulation line facility on the AAV inlet pipe is expected to flow LNG continuously as a solution to keep the pipe always in a state of cryogenic temperature. The pressure drop from one point to another with lower pressure is referred to as a "pressure drop. Loss of pressure in the process at the AAV piping system is caused by several parameters including pipe size, flow rate, and pressure also because of a change in pipe size and friction along the pipeline. The purpose of this research is to analyze the effect of pipe size on pressure drop and compare it with theoretical calculations and simulation programming. Hysys is engineering software designed to simulate processes in industry to design process calculations related to engineering. Based on the results of the manual calculation, the 3-inch pipe size has the lowest pressure drop value of 0.314 kg/cm2 and the results using aspen hysys is 0.053 kg/cm2. Using a double pipe piping system, the 4-inch annulus has a pressure drop value of 0.445 kg/cm2, and the result from Aspen Hysys is 0.059 kg/cm2. Pressure drop is significantly influenced by pipe size; the smaller the pressure drop that happens, the greater the pipe size must match the pipe connection size. The pressure drop that occurs in variations in pipe size has a great influence on the LNG flow back into the storage tank.
