Abstract

Pengendalian kualitas diperlukan untuk dapat mencegah kerugian material, waktu, dan tenaga bagi perusahaan PT. X. Dengan dilakukannya pengendalian kualitas pada produksi bubble window diharapkan dapat mengurangi dampak merugikan bagi perusahaan. PT. X sendiri adalah perusahaan yang bergerak di bidang manufaktur pesawat terbang. Dalam memproduksi setiap komponen pesawat terbang PT. X memerlukan pengendalian kualitas untuk dapat menjamin pesawat terbang memiliki kualitas yang baik dan memenuhi standar yang sudah ditetapkan. Dalam produksi bubble window masih ditemukan cacat yang terjadi. Bubble window sendiri merupakan salah satu komponen pesawat terbang yang diproduksi sendiri oleh PT. X. Dalam upaya menekan jumlah cacat yang terjadi maka dilakukan pengendalian kualitas dengan metode new seven tools. Dari hasil pengolahan didapatkan lima faktor penyebab terjadinya cacat pada produk bubble window di PT.X yaitu lingkungan, manusia, mesin, metode, dan material. Sehingga didapatkan tiga solusi perbaikan, yaitu mengkaji ulang pengoperasian mesin, meletakkan posisi SOP di area pengerjaan, dan maintenance berkala.

Abstract

PT. XYZ is a company engaged in wood processing. The product produced is plywood according to customer demand. After observing the production floor, several problems were found, namely that there was unused equipment in the work area. This equipment is equipment that is damaged or is not used. Besides, the cleanliness of the production floor is also poorly maintained where there is still dirt and dust. This study aims to identify problems related to waste on the production floor and design and propose the 5S method to create an effective work environment. The method used in this study uses the 5S concept approach (Seiri, Seiton, Seiso, Seiketsu, Shitsuke). 5S assessment is carried out using the audit checklist and evaluation checklist. The audit checklist and evaluation checklist are filled out by an auditor who knows clearly how the actual conditions on the production floor are. Data were collected in five work areas, namely rotary, press dryer, repair, assembling, and packing. The results of this study can be concluded that 1) problems on the production floor of PT XYZ include: there is no written procedure for elimination, there is no label on the work area, there is no regular cleaning, employees do not understand 5s, there are no procedures and 5s standards, there is no audit regarding 5s, there is no visual management system and standard procedures regarding 5s, lots of garbage scattered, dirty work surfaces and difficult to clean, everyone is not involved in 5s activities; 2) The results of the 5S assessment before improvement were 37.78% in the bad category. After planning the implementation of the improvement, the score rose to 80% in the good category

Abstract

Residential buildings built are mostly non-structural buildings that add the greatest amount of damage. Problems that occur namely, reduced public awareness in terms of earthquake disaster management which is included in the construction of residential buildings in accordance with waterproof standards for educational education activities or providing assistance to the community about how to process and how to make houses that have earthquake resistant structures. The expected outcome is that the Brani village community is increasingly aware of the dangers posed by the earthquake and is understood to make earthquake resistant structures at home, Making knowledge for Brani villagers as material for repairs and overhauling the structure of residential buildings in order to avoid the dangers posed by earthquake. There are two methods used, namely community education and surveys. Community education through material, and discussion about science and technology materials. Lectures are used to provide knowledge about earthquake hazards and how to create earthquake-friendly residential structures. Evaluation and validation are done by questions and answers and discussion of respondents' answers. The number of respondents who participated in this activity amounted to 32 people from various backgrounds, Brani villagers have a high awareness of the quality of residential buildings, as evidenced by the results of a positive response to the construction of housing in accordance with the regulations. Although the cost of building earthquake-friendly houses is 30% greater than ordinary houses, the community is enthusiastic and accepts the adoption of earthquake-friendly simple residential technology.

Abstract

One of the building materials that has a high business prospect is split stone. Some building material management companies in one of their departments produce split stone, which in its production there are several types of products based on size to meet various consumer demands. In production, especially in the 2021 period, there will be fluctuating or uneven production levels, where in one month there will be high production, and in another period there will be a decrease in production. Based on this, this study aims to analyze the calculation of productivity to identify what factors cause the productivity of split stone production to fluctuate. This research was assisted by using the objective matrix (OMAX) and fault tree analysis (FTA) methods. the results of the productivity recapitulation found that the attendance data component obtained an average score of 2.3 which is the lowest average when compared to other components. therefore with these results, attendance is the strongest factor affecting fluctuating productivity.

Abstract

PT XYZ is a company engaged in the pipe industry with various types of HDPE pipe products according to consumer needs. PT XYZ has problems with the BX-75 engine because it has a high breakdown value and is obtained from historical production data. The high breakdown caused the production process of the BX-75 engine to be hampered and the daily production target was reduced. To determine the effectiveness of the BX-75 engine, measurements using the Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) method are needed. The research was conducted using the OEE method to identify whether it is in accordance with world class standards, if the OEE value is still low, a Six Big Losses analysis will be carried out from the pareto chart which will determine what losses affect the low OEE value and analyze the details of the causes of each fishbone diagram. The average OEE value on BX-75 machines in November-December 2022 was 78.86%. The result is still below 85% so six big losses analysis is still needed. There are two types of losses that dominate, namely downtime losses and setup & adjustment losses. Downtime losses have an average loss of 13.50% and setup losses have an average of 9.53%.

Abstract

Today's industrial competition encourages companies to continue to improve the quality of their products. However, the quality of the product itself is not only influenced by how the processes occur in the production line, but also related to a series of flows starting from the arrival of materials until the product is received by consumers. As happened at PT. X, the company wants to identify product quality problems and reduce the number of product defects because many defective products are found. To control product quality, a method is used to reduce product defects by using the New Seven Tools method. New Seven Tools is one of the quality control methods used to find and solve qualitative problems. By using the New Seven Tools method, several causes of problems were found and recommendations for improvements were appropriate for each problem. Based on the results of the analysis to find the causes of quality problems using the New Seven Tools method, it can be concluded that there are 8 types of defects with 3 main factors causing defects, namely operator error during workmanship, poor material quality, and lack of quality inspection

Abstract

A business feasibility analysis is necessary to conduct to determine whether a business is viable and to enhance its quality and quantity. The analysis included (1) technical, (2) marketing, (3) management and organizational, and (4) financial. This study uses a business feasibility analysis to determine the viability of new MSME businesses named KAOSI. Based on the research conducted, it has been determined that the KAOSI is considered feasible because it meets the following criteria: (1) technical aspect, such as operating in a strategic location; (2) marketing aspect, such as having a unique selling proposition that is not currently held by any competing products; (3) financial aspect, KAOSI has a business NPV value of IDR 4,158,829.4, an IRR value of 40,9%, a PP value of 1.79 years, and a PI value of 1.98, which indicates that this business is financially feasible. However, in terms of management and organization, only the management aspect can be met by KAOSI, its organizational structure is deemed impractical due to its management's extensive responsibilities.

Abstract

Bengkel XYZ merupakan perusahaan yang memproduksi dan memperbaiki produk komponen. Bengkel XYZ sering menghadapi masalah downtime sehingga aktivitas produksi menjadi terhambat dan menyebabkan tertundanya pengiriman pesanan konsumen. Perhitungan Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) menunjukan terdapat mesin bubut  yang memiliki nilai OEE dibawah 85%, yang berarti kinerjanya belum baik berdasarkan standard yang ditetapkan oleh Japan Institute of Plant Maintenance (JIPM), yaitu pada mesin bubut IK, mesin bubut IIS, dan mesin bubut IIIS. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi penyebab dan dampak yang ditimbulkan oleh mesin bubut yang memiliki kinerja belum baik menggunakan failure mode effect and criticality analysis (FMECA). Hasil analisis identifikasi FMECA menunjukkan: (1) pada mesin bubut IK potential failure modes terdapat 1 kategori tolerable dan 8 kategori unacceptable memiliki critical priority tertinggi, yaitu ketidak-presisian pada chuck dengan nilai RPN sebesar 900, (2) pada mesin bubut IIS potential failure modes terdapat 1 kategori tolerable dan 7 kategori unacceptable memiliki critical priority tertinggi yaitu kerusakan pada main bearing dan kerusakan pada gearbox dengan nilai RPN a sebesar 900, (3) pada mesin bubut IIIS potential failure modes terdapat 2 kategori tolerable dan 9 kategori unacceptable dengan critical priority tertinggi, yaitu kerusakan pada internal dinamo motor memiliki nilai RPN 900. Perbaikan yang dilakukan Bengkel XYZ adalah dengan membuat perencanaan perawatan mesin bubut, standar kebersihan mesin, tanggung jawab bagi operator, dan pelatihan bagi operator serta untuk mempertahankan kondisi mesin agar tetap terkontrol dapat melakukan daily checklist untuk memeriksa keadaan mesin
