Abstract

This research concerns the health communication campaign for Clean and Healthy Lifestyle (PHBS) during the Covid-19 pandemic among students of the graduate school of the University of Mercu Buana. This research found that the social learning theory proves effective in the campaign which leads to a change in society’s behaviour. The theory used in this research is Albert Bandura's social learning theory. This research used positivistic paradigm. The method used in this research is a survey explanatory method and quantitative approach. The population is students of the graduate school at the University of Mercu Buana Jakarta. The sampling is conducted using purposive sampling techniques to 100 respondents, with a sampling error of 5%. The technique of data analysis used in this research is simple regression analysis. The result shows that PHBS Campaign has no significant effect on Anxiety Level.  PHBS Campaign has a significant effect on Compliance Level.  Anxiety Level has no significant effect on Compliance Level.  PHBS Campaign has no significant effect on Compliance Level through Anxiety Level.

Abstract

This research studies the digital media consumption pattern of journalists. This consumption pattern is done by journalists to support their job. The work pattern of journalists in finding news fundamentally depends on the credibility of the sources. The process of choosing sources and finding ideas and information is usually done conventionally, thus presently done through social media. This study was conducted by surveying 60 journalists in Jakarta. The method used for data analysis was descriptive statistics. Results showed that the majority of respondents had a high social media usage pattern; thus, it can be said that social media carries a great influence toward the work pattern of journalists. This can be seen from the majority of respondents who admitted that they had written about growing issues in social media as news in conventional media; they even admitted to interviewing some sources because they monitored their opinions and comments on social media. The type of journalists who became respondents in Jabodetabek were creators, conversationalists and Joiners; the rest participated by consuming social medias and collecting informations. Journalists in this position acted only as consumers.

Abstract

Keberhasilan komunikasi dalam organisasi sangat bergantung pada kemampuan komunikasi pemimpinnya. Terkait dengan hal itu, penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis pengaruh core communication skills, managerial communication skills, dan corporate communication skills yang dilakukan oleh Hary Tanoesoedibjo di Media Nusantara Citra Group (MNC Group) terhadap komunikasi kepemimpinan. Dasar pemikiran penelitian ini adalah perspektif struktural fungsional. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah survei dengan populasinya adalah karyawan tetap MNC Group mulai manajer ke atas, berjumlah 1088 orang. Jumlah sampel dihitung dengan rumus Taro Yamane didapat hasil sebanyak 100 responden. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan probability sampling dengan teknik simple random sampling. Teknik analisis data dengan product moment Pearson dan melakukan analisis uji hipotesis dengan regresi linier berganda. Hasil penelitian menunjukan ketiga variabel independen yaitu core communication skills, managerial communication skills, dan corporate communication skills secara parsial maupun simultan memengaruhi effective leadership communication, karena indikator-indikator dalam ketiga variabel independen dapat mendukung terjadinya komunikasi internal perusahaan secara efektif. Simpulannya, tanpa memenuhi indikator-indikator dalam communication skills, maka seorang pemimpin akan cenderung gagal dalam melakukan komunikasi secara internal dalam perusahaan, baik dengan jajaran direksi atau komisaris maupun para pegawai secara keseluruhan. Kesemua indikator dalam penelitian ini, setelah disesuaikan dengan visi, misi, program dan kondisi perusahaan, disarankan untuk dijadikan sebagai standar keterampilan yang harus dimiliki oleh Chairman MNC terutama di masa depan.

Abstract

One of the relevant media to develop the preparedness of the students in facing disasters is animation video since it can impress its viewers, especially children. This study aims to examine the disaster preparedness activity of the students of SDN 01 Cigondang, Pandeglang, Banten through the influence of animation video. This study employed Stimulus-Organism-Response Theory and experiment method quantitative approach with a positivist paradigm. Samples of this research are 114 students of grade IV, V, and VI  divided into two groups: group A consists of 58 students and group B consists of 57 students. Group A is the treatment group, treated by “tsunami aware” animation video;, and group B is the control group, treated by “tsunami aware” pictorial story media. The design used is Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design. This study analyzes data through descriptive and inferential statistics. The result shows that an animation video does influence the disaster preparedness of the students of SDN 01 Cigondang, Pandeglang.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the impact of students’ understanding of anti-corruption values on anti-corruption behavior. A quantitative exploratory survey with the positivist paradigm is employed in this study. Data are collected by distributing a questionnaire to 100 Public Relations students as the sample chosen by the purposive sample technique. Then, data are analyzed using simple linear regression. The results show that all respondents are in the category of having high anti-corruption values behavior. However, the correlation between their understanding and anti-corruption values is moderate, while the correlation between their understanding and corruptive behavior is low. Based on the data above, this study concludes that the impact of understanding the anti-corruption values on anti-corruption and corruptive behavior is not significant and categorized as weak. Therefore, anti-corruption values should be strengthened not only through the courses at university but also in the family

Abstract

Health counseling about contraception is essential to provide more knowledge about how to use contraception and improve the attitude and behavior of the family toward the Family Planning Program. This study aimed to determine the effect of counseling on the intrauterine device (IUD) knowledge and attitudes. This research was conducted in Bojong Menteng village, Tunjung Teja district, Serang regency, in February–July 2019. This study used the true experimental design method to look for the treatment effect on others in controlled conditions using pretest-posttest control group design and a quantitative research approach. In this study, the experimental and the control group are given a pretest to find out the initial conditions to see whether there are differences between the experimental group and the control group. Samples used random sampling techniques where 40 people were divided into two groups who have not used the IUD and have two children and more. The study employed paired t test and unpaired t test to analyze the data. The results showed that the average knowledge of the experiment group increased to 72, and the average knowledge of the control group increased to 70.2. In addition, the average attitude of the experiment group increased to 82.35. The difference between the two groups was only seen in wearing, where the experimental group showed positive behavior towards using the IUD. The conclusion is that counseling through leaflets, information education counseling kit, and direct explanation have positive responses.EFEK PENYULUHAN KESEHATAN MENGENAI IUD TERHADAP PENGETAHUAN DAN SIKAP PADA PASANGAN DI KABUPATEN SERANGPenyuluhan kesehatan tentang kontrasepsi penting dilakukan untuk memberikan lebih banyak pengetahuan tentang cara penggunaan kontrasepsi serta meningkatkan sikap dan perilaku keluarga terhadap Program Keluarga Berencana. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui pengaruh penyuluhan tentang alat kontrasepsi dalam rahim (AKDR) terhadap pengetahuan dan sikap. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Desa Bojong Menteng, Kecamatan Tunjung Teja, Kabupaten Serang pada Februari–Juli 2019. Metode yang digunakan true experimental design dengan menggunakan pretest-posttest control group design dan pendekatan kuantitatif untuk mencari pengaruh perlakuan terhadap yang lain dalam kondisi yang terkendalikan. Dalam penelitian ini kelompok eksperimen dan kelompok kontrol diberi pretest untuk mengetahui keadaan awal adakah perbedaan antara kelompok eksperimen dan kelompok kontrol. Sampel menggunakan teknik random sampling berjumlah 40 orang dibagi dalam dua kelompok yang belum menggunakan AKDR dan mempunyai dua anak dan lebih. Data dianalisis dengan uji t berpasangan dan uji t tidak berpasangan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa rerata pengetahuan kelompok eksperimen meningkat menjadi 72, sedangkan rerata pengetahuan kelompok kontrol meningkat menjadi 70,2. Selain itu, rerata sikap kelompok eksperimen meningkat menjadi 82,35. Perbedaan kedua kelompok tersebut hanya terlihat pada perilaku memakai saja bahwa kelompok eksperimen menunjukkan perilaku positif terhadap pemakaian AKDR. Hal tersebut menunjukkan bahwa penyuluhan melalui leaflet, kit konseling pendidikan informasi, dan penjelasan langsung memiliki respons positif.

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini berbentuk pelatihan mengenai sosialisasi Identifikasi Peluang Usaha Berdasarkan Kebijakan Program Kementrian Kelautan dan Perikanan Pemerintahan Jokowi-JK di Pesisir Sawarna, Lebak banten. Tujuan pelatihan ini masyarakat nelayan di daerah pesisir Sawarna Lebak Banten bisa memanfaat peluang usaha yang ada dengan memanfaat potensi lingkungan di pesisir Desa Sawarna. Kegiatan pelatihan ini diadakan bulan 13 Februari 2018 di Desa Sawarna, Lebak Banten. Kegiatan ini diharapkan dapat diikuti oleh masyarakat yang berdomisili di desa tersebut. Para peserta belum sepenuhnya mengetahui pemanfaatan potensi alam sebagai peluang usaha. Para orang tua membutuhkan motivasi dan inspirasi mengenai peluang usaha dengan memanfaatkan potensi alam. Selain itu mereka membutuhkan fasilitas dan permodalan untuk menunjang peluang usahanya (ekonomi).

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini berbentuk pelatihan mengenai pemberdayaan sikap Orang Tua Preventif terhadap Dampak Negatif Konten Media Televisi Berbayar di Rawa Buaya Jakarta Barat sebagai daerah pemasaran televisi berbayar. Tujuan pelatihan ini agar para orang tua bisa cerdas dalam menyikapi dampak negatif televisi berbayar untuk melindungi keluarganya. Kegiatan pelatihan ini diadakan pada Senin, 8 januari 2018 di RPTRA Cempaka Kelurahan Rawa Buaya. Kegiatan ini diikuti oleh para orang tua yang berdomisili di sekitar RPTRA Cempaka kelurahan Rawa Buaya.

Abstract

This community empowerment activity is in the form of training on the socialization of Reading Literacy to Students in Sawarna Beach, Lebak banten. The purpose of this training the students and school-aged children have the ability to read and become accustomed to reading. This training activity was held on February 13, 2018 in Sawarna Village, Lebak Banten. This activity is followed by students who are domiciled in the village. The participants have not fully read the habit either at home or at school. The lack of facilities for children's story books owned by schools and at home. Abstract

This Research aim to examine there is an effect of using the covid19.go.id portal to seeking information about covid 19 in the Starbucks Coffee Tangerang by using the Uses Gratification theory - Gratification Sought and Gratification Obtained. The research was conducted with survey method and use a positivist paradigm with a quantitative approach, with Inferensial statistical analysis using simple linear regression. The data collection used a questionnaire distributed to 100 respondents in the Starbucks Coffee Tangerang. The results shown that there is a positive influence on seeking information needs of covid 19. It is also found that the integrity dimension is an important dimension in the variable of using the covid19.go.id portal where it is assumed that the community has a knowledge motive about covid 19 for the benefit of socializing and helping carry out their social roles in society. the variable of seeking information needs, the affective dimension becomes a dimension that has a big influence, where people in Starbucks Coffee Tangerang use the covid19.go.id portal to get attention and appreciation from the environment, family, and people around, in other words, become people who are always up-to-date in information about covid 19 in Indonesia.
