Abstract

Humans are social beings who have a need to constantly interact with other humans, the presence of the internet, especially social media change the style of interaction that was originally in person can now be done virtually, evenhumans can form a particular group without having to meet directly with each other via social media. Facebook is one of the social media are widely used in Indonesia and form a virtual community. In this study, researchers interested in studying the social interaction of virtual communities on facebook social media. This type of research is qualitative research constructivist paradigm. Method of the approach in this study is a virtual ethnography. Data collection techniques are performed online and offline interviews and observations online at MCI community. Discussion through interviews, while three key respondents of this research is the facebook social media users were active in the MCI and one supporting respondent namely Admin Coordinator. The results showed that there is a motive behind the four Facebook users join and active in the community MCI there are curious motif, entertaining motif, the motif of expression and motif of self-esteem. In addition, varieties of languages are built facebook users in interaction in MCI, researcher has found three points, namely the term greeting, typical expression, and use hashtag. So it can be said that social interaction in a virtual community also has a culture or way of interacting like usual but it is an internet community.

Abstract

Abstract The aims of this research are to determine whether there is a relation and the effect between customer experience to brand image and how much the relation and effect of customer experience on the Urban Village event towards Telkom University brand image. This research is using independent variable named customer experience with dimensions of sense, feel, think, act, and relate. The dependent variable is brand image with dimensions of strength of brand association, favourability of brand association, and uniqueness of brand association. The population in this study is active students of Telkom University who were visitors on the Urban Village event also the amount of the samples taken on this research are 100 respondents using purposive sampling technique. The data analysis techniques of this study consist of normality test, coefficient of determination, Pearson correlation analysis, simple linear regression analysis, and hypothesis testing. Through the hypothesis testing using the t test is shown that value of tcount (10.277) > ttable (1.66), then H0 is rejected, which means that there is the effect of customer experience towards brand image. The coefficient of determination (r) is 51.9%, which means customer experience has an effect of 51.9% towards brand image and the 48.1% effected by other except customer experience. Meanwhile, the correlation coefficient is 0.720 which means customer experience on the Urban Village event has a strong positive relation towards Telkom University brand image

Abstract

Abstrak Dalam tata kelola (good governance) harus selalu mengedepankan kepentingan para pemangku kepentingan (stakeholder) yang terlibat didalamnya, termasuk yang dilakukan oleh pemerintah sebuah sebagai institusi publik yang melayani kepentingan masyarakat. Tata kelola juga tidak lepas dari pemerataan, persamaan, efisiensi, transparansi, dan akuntabilitas informasi yang disampaikan oleh pemerintah kepada seluruh pemangku kepentingan. Dalam menjalankan perannya tersebut, maka posisi public relations atau hubungan masyarakat pemerintah dalam konteks penelitian ini dipegang oleh Diskominfo menjadi bagian sentral dalam pemerintahan daerah sebagai pihak yang dapat mengelola aspirasi publik dan semua pemangku kepentingan. Pemerintah daerah di era desentralisasi menjadi salah stau sumber acuan dalam pengelolaan kebijakan pemerintah dengan memanfaatkan dan memaksimalkan pemanfaatan teknologi informasi dan komunikasi (TIK). Pemanfaatan TIK dalam sistem pengelolaan pemerintah daerah diterapkan melalui e-government dalam rangka menciptakan tata kelola pemerintah yang baik, salah satu bentuknya dengan penggunaan website Pemda. Melalui website subang.go.id Pemerintah Kabupaten Subang yang dikelola oleh Diskominfo, menjadi ujung tombak pemerintah dalam menyebarkan informasi kepada publik. Untuk mengetahui strategi pengelolaan konten website subang.go.id miliki pemkab Subang, maka dilakukan penelitian yang menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif dan pendekatan studi kasus. Dari hasil pengumpulan data melalui awancara mendalam, observasi, dan penelusuran dokumen yang relevan, peneliti berhasil mendapatkan sejumlah temuan penting. Penelitian ini menemukan hasil berupa permasalahan terkait dengan pengelolaan website oleh Diskominfo Pemkab Subang. Diantara persoalan yang masih dihadapi berkaitan dengan pengelolaan konten website subang.go.id adalah masih kurangnya koordinasi dalam pengelolaan website, terbatasnya SDM pengelola website, tidak dilakukannya pembaruan konten, tampilan website yang kurang menarik, rendahnya interaktivitas antara pengelola dengan pengguna website, serta kurangnya akses masyarakat dalam memanfaatkan website, tampilan website yang monoton. Mengacu pada standard pengelolaan konten website, maka permasalahan masih terjadi pada level riset, perencanaan, pelaksanaan, hingga evaluasi. Salah satu temuan penting dari munculnya permasalahan pengelolaan website subang.go.id adalah masih terpisahnya dan tidak adanya koordinasi dalam hal tugas dan tanggung jawab antara bagian Humas Pemkab Subang yang sebatas sebagai pemasok informasi di satu sisi, dengan peran Diskominfo Pemkab Subang sebagai pihak yang bertugas memublikasikan informasi. In governance (good governance) should always put the interests of the stakeholders (stakeholders) are involved, including those conducted by a government as a public institution that serves the public interest. Governance is also not out of equity, equality, efficiency, transparency, and accountability of the information submitted by the government to all stakeholders. In carrying out that role, then the position of public relations or public relations of government in the context of this study is held by Diskominfo a central part in local government as a party that can manage the aspirations of the public and all stakeholders. The local government in the era of decentralization to be one stau source of reference in the management of government policies by utilizing and maximizing the utilization of information and communication technology (ICT). Utilization of ICT in local government management system implemented through the e-government in order to create good governance, one of its forms with the use of local government website. Through the website subang.go.id Subang regency government managed by Diskominfo, spearheading the government in disseminating information to the public. To know subang.go.id website content management strategies have Subang regency, then carried out studies using qualitative research methods and case study approach. From the data collected through in-depth Interview, observation, and search relevant documents, investigators managed to get a number of important findings. This study found the results in the form of problems related to the management of the website by Diskominfo Subang regency. Among the problems that are still faced with regard to the management of website content subang.go.id is still a lack of coordination in the management of the website, limited human resources manager of the website, it does not update the content, see the website less attractive, low interactivity between the manager of the users of the website, as well as the lack of access the public in using the website, the website look monotonous. Referring to the standard website content management, the problem still occurs at the level of research, planning, implementation and evaluation. One important finding of the emerging management issues subang.go.id website is still separation and lack of coordination in terms of duties and responsibilities between the PR Subang regency were limited as suppliers of information on the one hand, the role Diskominfo Subang regency as the people in charge publish information. Abstract

Komunikasi merupakan hal yang penting di era saat ini ,hal ini terjadi karena dengan komunikasi manusia mampu mempenuhi kebutuhan hidupnya dalam menjalankan kegiatan aktivitas sehari-hari. Dalam penelitian ini peneliti meneliti bagaimana komunikasi antar pribadi antara konsumen Indi Home dengan call center Telkom 147 mempengaruhi kesuksesan pesan yang akan disampaikan konsumen. Manajemen Komunikasi secara umum dipahami sebagai peroses mengordinasikan interpretasi atau pengertian melalui interaksi antar manusia. Kemampuan berkomunikasi dalam interaksi ini dipengaruhi oleh sudut pandang pengalaman individu ( field of experiance) dan kerangka berpikir yang dipahami oleh konsumen. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana manajemen komunikasi yang terjadi di dalam call center Telkom 147 Kota Semarang. Penelitian ini menggunakan metodologi pendekatan kualitatif studi kasus serta didukung oleh paradigma konstruktivisme. Data pada penelitian ini diperoleh melalui wawancara langsung dengan tiga orang dari Pihak call center Telkom 147 Kota Semarang sebagai informan utama dan 2 pelanggan Indi Home sebagai informan pendukung serta studi dokumentasi data. Hasil penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui Manajemen Komunikasi yang terdapat didalam call center Telkom 147 Kota semarang menggunakan elemen-elemen manajemen komunikasi yakni self, interpersonal, people in system dan competance.

Abstract

Education is the right of every Indonesian child. No exception a street child who are spend most of the time on the road. One of community that works in education especially for street child is Rumah Belajar Sahaja’s in Bandung community. Rumah Belajar Sahaja’s community is a place for street child to get education through teaches and learn activities. In every teach and learn activity there is a pattern of communication by teachers and street child. The purpose of this study is to form a new communication pattern between teachers and street child to attract children's learning interests. The formed communication pattern is expected to be applied in the Rumah Belajar Sahaja’s community so as to attract more street children to learn. The theory review used in this research is communication, interpersonal communication, communication process, communication ethnography, and communication pattern. This research uses ethnography method of communication based on constructivist paradigm. The results showed that the process of communication, communication components and relationships between communication components to form communication patterns of Rumah Belajar Sahaja’s community. Teachers approach with street child, street child follow the rules of Rumah Belajar Sahaja’s community, the teacher uses coercive communication. Food and beverages are distributed to street child who are implementing the rules of Rumah Belajar Sahaja Bandung

Abstract

The Internet has provided various facilities to the public in obtaining and producing information. But with the ease offered by the internet, not infrequently people take advantage of these excellence to the negative thing. Saracen is a group of hate speech spreaders and racial issues arrested by the Police on August 23, 2017. In the Saracen group's arrest report there is Eggi Sudjana's name, a lawyer and activist who allegedly involved in the Saracen as Advisory Council. The purpose of this research is to know the framing of news about the involvement of Eggi Sudjana in Saracen group in online media mediaindonesia.com and okezone.com. This research uses framing analysis of Robert N. Entman with qualitative research method and constructivist paradigm. The results show that mendiaindonesia.com and okezone.com have different views in framing the news. Mediaindonesia.com tends to be neutral and objective in its reporting and frames the involvement of Eggi Sudjana in Saracen group is still an allegation as a fact and informations that comes from the police. While okezone.com tends to be subjective and biased to Eggi Sudjana as seen from the issues that are shown from Eggi Sudjana’s side by emphasizing the fact that Eggi Sudhaja is an innocent person.

Abstract

The study, titled Group Communications in Community Faktabahasa (Case Study on Teaching and Learning Foreign Languages in Community Faktabahasa Bandung) to find out how the activities of group communication in teaching and learning foreign languages in community Faktabahasa Bandung and communication interactions between the tutors with the participants in the community Faktabahasa Bandung , The method used in this study is a qualitative method using descriptive case study. As well as the technique of collecting data includes in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation. Informants consisted of seven people. The results of this research are activities of group communication that occurs not only learn a foreign language but also learn the culture, consisting of activities their internalization (introduction), learning foreign languages (clubbing) with storytelling, games, singing, watching videos and movies, sharing and test (test) to describe the function of group communication. The interaction communication between the tutor with the participants is two-way communication involving verbal and nonverbal communication with the atmosphere of teaching and learning activities that take place informal, relaxed, warm, intimate and conducive.

Abstract

Defy Media’s survey shows that 85% of 13-24 years old teenagers use YouTube as the main platform to watch videos. Hence, YouTuber became a favored profession. Within YouTuber profession trend, Virtual YouTuber phenomenon emerges. Virtual YouTubers are YouTubers who appear as 3D animation avatars. The term was first used by Virtual YouTuber Kizuna Ai whose popularity reaches Indonesia. Based on pre-research, 96 of 100 Indonesian Japanese pop-culture fans know Kizuna Ai, 86 has watched her vlogs, and 53 subscribe her YouTube channel. This research’s goal is to understand motives and meanings in watching Kizuna Ai’s vlogs. this study used Phenomenology method. Even though they are virtual, their presences can be captured by senses. Based on the research’s results, there are two kinds of motive in watching Kizuna Ai’s vlogs: because motives consisting interest motive and curiosity motive, and in-order-to motives consisting desire for information motive, self-actualization needs motive, competency motive, desire for entertainment motive, and self-existence needs motive. Meanwhile, the meanings in watching Kizuna Ai’s vlogs are ideal partner figure representation, escape from problems, interest in Japanese pop-culture representation, role-model for interacting with others, and the importance of being expressive and expressing opinions.

Abstract

Meme menjadi sarana ekspresi politik yang populer di Indonesia. Namun, keberadaannya dianggap menimbulkan masalah bagi pemerintah. Meme yang berisi wacana “Jokowi Kader PKI” menjadi salah satu meme yang diproduksi, disirkulasikan, dan diperbincangkan dalam kurun waktu yang cukup lama. Penelitian ini mempelajari bagaimana wacana politik dalam bentuk meme berevolusi dan perannya dalam memperbincangkan isu “Jokowi Kader PKI”. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah semiotik sosial dan dibantu dengan teori-teori humor yang digunakan untuk membaca makna wacana dalam evolusi wacana dan perannya pada struktur pesan yang berbentuk meme. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa meme menjadi pembawa wacana yang berkompetisi dengan wacana lainnya. Sebuah wacana dalam bentuk meme berevolusi melalui tindak mimetik dalam kategori meme wacana utama, meme wacana peneguh, dan meme wacana pendukung. Selain itu, kategori tersebut menjadi dasar tindak stereotyping dalam bentuk satir.
