The development of dynamic society and social problems that continue to develop these days, require attention and sensitivity from all nation elements, not only from experts and observers of social problems but also the education world, especially concerning religious education which has a very strategic role as a vehicle and “agent of change” for the society. The pluralistic condition of Indonesia both in terms of ethnicity, race, religion, and social status makes an extraordinary contribution to the development and dynamics in society. Abstract

The agricultural sector in Bali is increasingly unpopular for the younger generation. This condition is inversely proportional to the increasing need for food and the tourist destination of Bali in the form of beautiful rice fields. Hindu agricultural traditions make the profession of farmers not only as a source of income but also as a medium for preserving the natural environment through the Hindu theo-ecology concepts. This study tries to explore Hindu theo-ecological in the Lontar Sri Purana Tattwa. The method used is a literature study technique by utilizing hermeneutic theory and interpretive theory which emphasizes the interpretation dimension of values in the Lontar Sri Purana Tattwa. Lontar Sri Purana Tattwa explained the teachings of Hindu theo-ecology through the concept of divinity, ritual, ethics, and mythology. God is manifested as Saguna Brahman, namely gods and goddesses who control various aspects of nature. The main deity worshiped is Dewi Sri as the ruler of rice and welfare. Ritual practices are carried out massively and ethics in farming are upheld. The Hindu theo-ecology in the Sri Purana Tattwa makes professions (farmers) a medium to get closer to God, and at the same time preserve nature. Through an understanding of Hindu theo-ecology, it is hoped that it can increase the interest of the Hindu community in the agricultural sector and foster a love for the environment.

Abstract

The Hindu Theology Study Program carries out community service in the Yehembang Kangin Traditional Village, Mendoyo District, Jembrana Regency in 2021 with the theme "Training for Leadership and Understanding of Hindu Religion". The theme is adjusted to the needs of the community in the field of Kepemangkuan, the conception of tattwa, acara agama, padewasan, and Sanskrit in puja mantras to answer the challenges of religious life. This community service uses training methods by demonstrating procedures for using Genta and reciting puja mantras, as well as community education through lectures and discussions. In general, the implementation of community service received a good response from the community and was smooth. Obstacles such as the distance between the service locations and the schedule of activities that conflict with the traditional agenda can be overcome through good cooperation from all parties. During community service, it was found that the enthusiasm of the community to understand the teachings of Hinduism was very high. Especially the Pemangku who need explanations related to practices and sesana to comply with the rules of literature. The lack of literature and discussion opportunities becomes an obstacle in the public knowledge abou Hindu religious teachings. The community needs guidance related to Hindu religious teachings to prepare themselves to become a moderate society in  a pluralistic environment.

Abstract

Hindu theology provides the broadest way to worship God. One of them is the celebration of Bhuda Cemeng Klawu which is a holy day for the Balinese Hindu community to worship the manifestation of God as the ruler of prosperity, especially financial wealth. Based on the observations, on this day, Hindus perform worship rituals to Bhatari Rambut Sedhana by offering some banten. Bhatari Rambut Sadhana is embodied in 2 statues made of kepeng coins as a symbol of beauty and splendor. Worship on Buddha Cemeng Klawu day should be carried out by all Hindus, not only traders and business people. Prosperity is coveted by everyone, and wealth has a significant role in our life. In the Hinduism religion, wealth is not taboo. Everyone is encouraged to be rich, especially those who are in the gṛhasta period. Wealth (arta) is one of the goals of Hinduism in Catur Purusa Artha. Wealth enables one to perform charity (punia) as one of the yajña to realize Jagadhita. on the other hand, wealth very easy to make people drunk and complacent. The Budha Cemeng Klawu celebration reminds Hindus to always be grateful for the wealth they have and seek and use wealth for good. Hopefully, this article can open a wider understanding for Hindus regarding the meaning of holy days, especially Budha Cemeng Klawu.
