Abstract

The aim to be achieved in this study was to determine the increase in activity and student learning outcomes in the application of lesson study based multi-representational learning in linear program subjects. The type of research is class action research which consists of the steps of preparation, implementation, observation and reflection. The research subjects were Madura University mathematics education study program students in semester 6. The instruments used included validator assessment sheets for learning devices, observation sheets of student activities during the learning process, observation sheets of lecturers' ability to manage learning, questionnaires sheets of student responses to the implementation of learning and test results learn. Based on the results of the study, there was an increase in student activity from 3.16 in cycle 1, 3.31 in cycle 2, to 3.67 in cycle 3. The learning outcome test also increased from 63.2% in cycle 1, 78.94% at cycle 2 becomes 89.47% in cycle 3. So it can be concluded that lesson study based multi-presentation learning can improve student learning outcomes in linear program subjects.

Abstract

Dari hasil penelitian menujukan bahwa ada peningkatan nilai rata-rata pre test dan post test baik pada siklus I maupun siklus II. Pada siklus I, rata-rata nilai pre test sebesar 54,8 dengan jumlah peserta didik yang tuntas atau memiliki nilai ? 65 sebanyak 2 peserta didik. Namun terjadi peningkatan setelah dilaksanakan pembelajaran dengan teknik Problem Based Learning yaitu nilai rata-rata post test menjadi 70,7 dan yang meraih nilai 65 sebanyak 20 peserta didik. Hal tersebut menunjukan terjadi peningkatan meski belum mencapai kriteria ketuntasan yang diharapkan. Begitu pula pada siklus II, nilai rata-rata siswa mengalami peningkatan dari 61,93 dengan jumlah peserta didik yang tuntas atau memiliki nilai ? 65 sebanyak 10 peserta didik, rata-rata nilai menjadi 78,16 dengan jumlah peserta didik yang tuntas atau memiliki nilai ? 65 sebanyak 24 peserta didik. Pada siklus ke II ini, rata-rata nilai dan jumlah peserta didik yang tuntas KKM sudah memenuhi target yang diharapkan yakni rata-rata nilai mencapai 78,16 dan jumlah peserta didik yang tuntas KKM mencapi 77,41% dari jumlah peserta didik kelas X IPS 2. Sehingga dapat dikatan bahwa pembelajaran teknik Problem Based Learning dapat meningkatkan prestasi belajar Sosiologi peserta didik kelas X IPS 2.

Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to describe the mathematical representation ability of class XI MA Sumber Payung students in understanding the concepts of arithmetic sequences and series.  This type of research is descriptive qualitative research. The results obtained by students with high math skills in understanding the concepts of arithmetic sequences and series are in the form of representations of mathematical equations or expressions, where students can create mathematical equations or models from other representations given, solve problems involving mathematical expressions and representations of words or written texts.  Students can write down what is known and asked in a data or information, so that in answering questions using words or written text.  Likewise for students with low mathematical abilities, representation in understanding the concept of arithmetic sequences and series is in the form of representations of mathematical equations or expressions and representations of words or text.Keywords: Representation, understanding arithmetic concepts, sequences and series. Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan kemampuan representasi matematis siswa kelas XI MA Sumber Payung dalam memahami konsep barisan dan deret aritmetika. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif deskriptif. Hasil yang diperoleh siswa berkemampuan matematika tinggi dalam memahami konsep barisan dan deret aritmetika adalah berupa representasi persamaan atau ekspresi matematika, dimana siswa bisa membuat persamaan atau model matematika dari representasi lain yang diberikan, menyelesaikan masalah dengan melibatkan ekspresi matematis dan representasi kata-kata atau teks tertulis siswa bisa menuliskan apa yang diketahui dan yang ditanyakan dalam suatu data atau informasi, sehingga dalam menjawab soal dengan menggunakan kata-kata atau teks tertulis. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui aktivitas, respon, dan peningkatan hasil belajar mahasiswa setelah diajar dengan menggunakan pembelajaran visual thinking disertai aktivitas quick on the draw pada materi akar persamaan tak linear. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di universitas madura dan yang menjadi subjek penelitian adalah mahasiswa semester IV pendidikan matematika tahun akademik 2017/2018. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah metode observasi, angket, tes, dan wawancara. Dari analisis data dapat disimpulkan bahwa: (1) aktivitas mahasiswa mengalami peningkatan dari 2,88 (kategori baik) pada siklus I menjadi 3,51 (kategori sangat baik) pada siklus II kemudian meningkat menjadi 3,76 (kategori sangat baik) pada siklus III, (2) respon mahasiswa juga mengalami peningkatan dari 62,86% (kategori positif) pada siklus I menjadi 91,43% (kategori positif) pada siklus II kemudian meningkat menjadi 100% (kategori positif) pada siklus III, (3) hasil belajar mahasiswa mengalami peningkatan dari 14,29% pada siklus I menjadi 57,14%  pada siklus II kemudian meningkat menjadi 85,71% pada siklus III. Dari hasil penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan pembelajaran visual thinking disertai aktivitas quick on the draw dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar mahasiswa pada materi akar persamaan tak linear. Improving Student Learning Outcomes Through Visual Thinking Learning with Quick on the Draw Activities AbstractThis research aimed to determine the activity, response, and improvement of student learning outcomes after being taught using visual thinking learning accompanied by quick on the draw activities on the material of the nonlinear equation root. This type of research is classroom action research with a qualitative approach. This research was carried out at universitas mdura and the subject of the research was the fourth semester students of mathematics education 2017/2018 academic year. Data collection techniques used are observation methods, questionnaires, tests, and interviews. From the data analysis it can be concluded that: (1) student activity has increased from 2.88 (good category) in the first cycle to 3.51 (very good category) in cycle II then increased to 3.76 (very good category) in the cycle III, (2) student responses also increased from 62.86% (positive category) in the first cycle to 91.43% (positive category) in the second cycle then increased to 100% (positive category) in cycle III, (3) student learning outcomes increased from 14.29% in the first cycle to 57.14% in the second cycle then increased to 85.71% in the third cycle. From the results of this study it can be concluded that the application of visual thinking learning with quick on the draw activities can improve student learning outcomes on the material of the nonlinear equation root.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the increase in student learning activities and outcomes after being taught by using the quick on the draw learning strategy in the interpolation material. This type of research is classroom action research with a qualitative approach. This research was conducted at Madura University and those who were the subjects of the study were fourth semester students of 2017/2018 academic year mathematics education. Data collection techniques used are observation and test methods. From the data analysis it can be concluded that: (1) student activity has increased from 3.20 (good category) in the first cycle to 3.76 (excellent category) in the second cycle, (2) student learning outcomes have increased from 42.86 in the first cycle then increased to 85.71% in the second cycle. From the results of this study it can be concluded that the application of quick on the draw learning strategies can improve student learning activities and outcomes in interpolation material.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe the activities, student’s achievment, and their responese toward Student Teams Achievement Divisions (STAD), as cooperative learning by using Statistical Product And Service Solution (SPSS) in educational statistic class. This research is Classroom Action Research (CAR). There are four steps were done in this classroom action reseach, they are planning, action, observation, and reflection. The subject of this study is the 6th semester students in 2015/2016 academic year, who are taking statistics class in Islamic Education as their majority in STAI Nazhatut Thullab Sampang. Data collection technique was done by observation, questionnaire, and test. Observation was done in order to find out the students’ activities during the class, while questionnaire was used to understand the students’ response toward STAD teaching and learning with SPSS. Test was done to value the students’ achievement. The result of this study based on the observation in cycle 1 showed the average of students’ activities in class was 69.3%, categorized as Active Enough. The average in cycle 2 was 74.6%, categorized as Active. For the test, the average was 73.5 in cycle 1 and 87.6 in cycle 2. While the classical student’s completeness increases from 70% to 83% In the case of students’ response toward the SPSS use, the writer found the students’ average in cycle 1 was 76.3 and 89.5 in cycle 2, where both of them were in positive categories. The writer can conclude that Student Team Achievement Division (STAD) with SPSS as a kind of cooperative learning, can improve students’ achievement.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to identify and classify any errors made by students in solving problems of non-homogeneous order n differential equations and to find out what causes students to make errors in solving problems. This research is a qualitative descriptive research. The instruments used in this study were the Mathematical Ability Test, the Differential Equation Problem Solving Test and interview guidelines. The selection of subjects began by giving a math ability test to 35 students in the class. From the results of these tests, 3 students were then selected from a variety of errors to become research subjects. The criteria for selecting research subjects refer to: (a) the number of mistakes made by students in answering test questions; (b) variations in the types of errors made by students; (c) have the ability to communicate both orally and in writing; (d) willing to be interviewed. Based on the results of the study, information was obtained that the types of student errors in solving non-homogeneous order n differential equations based on the Kastolan stages were: (1) conceptual errors consisted of errors in the use of formulas in answering questions and using formulas that were not in accordance with the conditions or prerequisites for enactment formulas, (2) procedural errors consist of errors because they cannot solve the problem in the simplest form and errors because they cannot continue the completion step, (3) technical errors consist of errors in calculating the value of a arithmetic operation, errors in writing that there is constant or variable written wrong or forgot not to write or an error moving a constant or variable from one step to the next, and improperly substituting values into variables. While the factors that cause student errors in solving problems of non-homogeneous order n differential equations are students who do not understand the prerequisite materials needed to solve problems of non-homogeneous order n differential equations, do not understand the concept of determining the general form of a special solution with certain prerequisites, student skills in carrying out arithmetic operations they are still lacking, less thorough, in a hurry, and nervous so that there are several completion steps that are miscalculated, missed, not written down, and not converted to the simplest form.

Abstract

This research aims to produce learning kits for even numerical semester subjects with visual thinking learning accompanied by quick on the draw activities on student learning outcomes. This type of research is research on the development of ADDIE (Analysis; Design; Development; Implementation; Evaluation) models. The subjects of this study were lecturers and students of class A in the fourth semester of Mathematics Education at Madura University. This study produced learning tools in the form of RPM, LKM, and THB. From the results of expert validation, scores of observations of lecturer and student activities, learning outcomes tests, and student response questionnaires indicate that RPM, LKM, and THB are valid, practical, and effective. Valid because the coefficient of validity of RPM, LKM, and THB has an average value of 3,79. Practical because the average score of lecturer and student activity was 3,78 (very good) and 3,38 (good) respectively. And effective because the student response is 84,76% (positive); and the test results amounted to 85,71% (completed classically).

Abstract

Abstrak: Statistik merupakan pengetahuan yang berhubungan dengan cara-cara pengumpulan data, pengolahan atau penganalisisannya dan penarikan kesimpulan berdasarkan kumpulan data dan penganalisisan yang dilakukan. Upaya mengembangkan pendekatan dan strategi pembelajaran sudah banyak dilakukan dalam rangka memperbaiki kualitas pendidikan. Dengan modal pengalaman yang dimiliki selama aktif di dunia pendidikan dapat melahirkan inovasi dalam pembelajaran matematika/statistik, tidak sedikit pula hasil inovasi yang mereka lakukan memberikan hasil yang efektif. Permasalahan yang bersumber dari karakteristik matematika, Permasalahan yang bersumber dari media dan alat peraga, Permasalahan yang bersumber dari bahasa (simbol, huruf dan kata), serta Permasalahan yang bersumber dari Mahasiswa yang bersangkutan. Diantara solusi dari Dosen adalah Adanya peningkatan profesionalisme tenaga pendidik yang meliputi kompetensi personal, kompetensi pedagogik, kompetensi profesional dan kompetensi sosial. Kata kunci : problematika, statistik, PTKI Abstract: Statistics is the science dealing with the ways of data collection, processing or penganalisisannya and drawing conclusions based on analyzing the data set and done. Efforts to develop approaches and learning strategies has been done in order to improve the quality of education. With the experience that capital active in the world for education can deliver innovation in the learning of mathematics/statistics, there are also the result of innovation they do provide very effective results. Problems derived from mathematical characteristics, problems originating from media and props, the problem comes from the language (symbols, letters and words), as well as the problems that come from the students. Among the solutions of the teacher is the presence of increased professionalism of educators that includes personal competence, pedagogical competence, professional competence and social competence.
