Abstract

This research is aimed to understand the perception of rural people toward Branchless Banking and to explore the factors that encourage them to adopt Branchless Banking technology in Indonesian context. Innovation diffusion theory was used in this research. Variables consisted of relative advantage, compatibility, complexity, trialability, and observability used to explore the perception of rural people toward Branchless Banking. Questionnaires were distributed to people in Kuncen village, Salatiga Indonesia. We found that relative advantage and complexity are factors that drive Kuncen village people to adopt Branchless Banking. Thus, compatibility, trialability, and observability are the inhibitors for Branchless Banking adoption.Keywords: Branchless Banking, mobile payment systems, technology adoption, financial inclusion

Abstract

Job Hopping merupakan perilaku karyawan yang sering berpindah ? pindah pekerjaan di perusahaan dalam kurun waktu kurang dari tiga tahun. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah mengidentifikasi variabel yang mempengaruhi job hopping. Metode yang digunakan penelitian ini adalah pendekatan kuantitatif, populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah karyawan di perhotelan, perbankan dan koperasi di Kota Salatiga, sampel penelitian berjumlah 200 responden dengan memberikan kuesioner dan teknik pengambilan secara acak. Teknik  analisis data menggunakan regresi berganda dengan melakukan pretest, uji asumsi klasik melalui alat uji SPSS. Hasil penelitian secara simultan menunjukkan bahwa profesionalisme tidak berpengaruh pada job hopping. Sedangkan, hasil secara parsial menunjukkan bahwa job hopping berpengaruh positif terhadap pengembangan karir, kemudian profesionalisme juga berpengaruh positif terhadap pengembangan karir. Kata kunci: Profesionalisme, Job Hopping, Pengembangan Karir

Abstract

The use of internet especially social media was inevitable in today?s society. Using the internet effectively and in moderation can become a useful to get the job done efficiently. Inappropriate use of internet or social media can lead to lower performance, particularly if it had become an addiction. The purpose of this research was to test whether social media addiction influence performance with cyber loafing as intervening variable. This was a quantitative research with sample of 110 generation Y workers at MNC in Jakarta. The analysis technique used is path analysis. The result of this research showed that social media addiction is low, with moderate cyberloafing and high performance. The path analysis indicated that social media addiction positively influence cyberloafing, but social media addiction and cyberloafing did not influence employees? performance. Therefore, Cyberloafing did not act as intervening variable. Different companies have different policies concerning the use of internet. Some company have a strict rule and demands their employees to be professional in a way to did not use their Mobile phone to access their social media or not to cater to their personal need during their working hours. Professionalism is needed by employees to survive in their job. The company demand to be as professional as employees can make them did not addict to their social media. So causes the result of this study that said there is no influence between cyberloafing a social media addiction toward employees? performance.

Abstract

Rendahnya minat para pencari kerja untuk mengisi posisi pekerjaan di bidang sales didugakarena tingginya kriteria kompetensi yang ditetapkan perusahaan untuk lowongan kerjasales. Dengan adanya dugaan tersebut peneliti tertarik untuk menganalisis kompetensiyang dibutuhkan perusahaan untuk calon karyawan di bidang sales, yang dipublikasikanpada situs lowongan pekerjaan di media online. Dengan adanya penelitian ini diharapkandapat memberikan manfaat bagi para pencari kerja dengan tujuan untuk mengeksplorasikompetensi-kompetensi yang dibutuhkan perusahaan pada bagian sales. Data yangdigunakan menggunakan data sekunder, dengan unit analisis dan pengamatan yangdiambil dari dua situs lowongan pekerjaan online yaitu jobstreet.co.id dan karir.compada tahun 2016. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik incidental samplingyang berjumlah 385 lowongan pekerjaan sales. Teknik analisis data menggunakancontent analysis. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dari lima dimensi kompetensiyang telah dijabarkan oleh Palan (2007) dengan beberapa indikator yang digunakanuntuk pengamatan kompetensi lowongan pekerjaan salesdidapatkan hasil bahwa semuaindikator tersebut diminta oleh perusahaan dan setelah mengumpulkan lebih banyakdata ternyata ada juga tambahan seperti alat penunjang pekerjaan, IPK, domisili dankesehatan fisik didalamnya.

Abstract

For a company knowing the work life balance of their employee is a proper way to control the employee performance for company’s development. This study on Work-life balance (WLB) is aimed to help both company and employees manage their family responsibilities, create flexible-work conditions and enable them to perform better particularly in Multinational Company (MNC). This research put forward on the four dimensions of Work life balance from the employee perspective in MNC. The four dimensions include Work Interference with Personal Life (WIPL), Personal Life Interference with Work (PLIW), Personal Life Enhancement of Work (PLEW) and Work Enhancement of Personal Life (WEPL). Deep analyzing on the employee characteristic using a descriptive quantitavive method is also conducted to the measurement of the work life balance to 100 employees in PT. NK. The interesting finding is found during the study whereby in PT. NK as a MNC most of the employees are in a moderate range of WLB and been measure by the cross tabulation with the employee characteristic. The other finding indicated that work life balance is an important aspect which supposed to be notice by a company for all of the employee particularly in a multinational company.

Abstract

Employee performance has taken a classic problem in becoming a concern of the company. As technology evolving making an increase in employee attention to flexible working arrangement as well. Decrease in performance has become a concern if flexible working arrangement is applied, now grow into one of the factor that might resulted in an increase of performance as well as an increase in work life balance of employee. This study was conducted to determine the effect of flexible work arrangements on employee performance with work life balance as a mediating variable. This type of research used in this study is a quantitative approach. Data collection methods in this study used questionnaire data collection techniques with 100 respondents, and the scale used to collect data from each variable using a Likert scale. The sampling method is done by the snowball sampling technique. The data analysis technique used is a simple linear regression analysis and multiple tests to test mediation variables. The results showed a positive effect on each variable, i.e. flexible work arrangements affecting work-life balance, with a large regression coefficient of +0.541. Then flexible work arrangements affect employee performance, with a regression coefficient of +0.388, then the work-life balance variable influences employee performance with a regression coefficient of +0.391. Then the results also showed that the work-life balance variable proved to be a variable that mediated the effect of flexible work arrangements on employee performance with a result of 3,045. Kinerja adalah masalah klasik yang terus menjadi perhatian perusahaan. Seiring dengan kemajuan teknologi maka bertambah pulalah minat karyawan dalam hal pengaturan kerja fleksibel. Kinerja yang dikhawatirkan akan menurun ketika pengaturan kerja fleksibel dilaksanakan, sekarang menjadi salah satu hal yang dapat meningkatkan kinerja sekaligus meningkatkan work life balance karyawan. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pengaturan kerja yang fleksibel terhadap kinerja karyawan dengan work life balance sebagai variabel mediasi. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah pendekatan kuantitatif. Metode pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan teknik pengumpulan data kuesioner dengan jumlah responden 100 orang, serta skala yang digunakan untuk pengumpulan data dari tiap variabel menggunakan skala likert. Metode pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan teknik sampling snowball. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis regresi linier sederhana dan sobel test untuk menguji variabel mediasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan pengaruh yang positif pada masing-masing variabel yaitu, pengaturan kerja yang fleksibel mempengaruhi work life balance, dengan besar nilai koefisien regresi sebesar +0,541. Kemudian pengaturan kerja yang fleksibel berpengaruh terhadap kinerja karyawan, dengan koefisien regresi +0,388, lalu variabel work life balance berpengaruh terhadap kinerja karyawan dengan koefisien regresi +0,391. Kemudian hasil penelitian menunjukkan pula bahwa variabel work life balance terbukti dapat menjadi variabel yang memediasi pengaruh pengaturan kerja yang fleksibel terhadap kinerja karyawan dengan hasil 3,045.

Abstract

Panti Karya Salib Putih merupakan lembaga yang menampung warga usia produktif (25-60) yang tidak mampu bekerja di organisasi atau lembaga yang kompetitif. Untuk memenuhi kebutuhan mereka, pengelola mengusahakan kopi, mulai dari produksi sampai pennjualan bubuk kopinya. Masalahnya adalah produktivitas kopi masih rendah, pengolahan kurang maksimal sehingga hasil dari produk kopi juga tidak maksimal. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kapasitas hasil produksi kopi, meningkatkan manajemen pengolahan kopi menjadi produk kopi dan meningkatkan jumlah hasil produk kopi. Untuk mencapai tujuan peningkatan kapasitas hasil produksi kopi, dilakukan dengan mereview kondisi eksisteng dari tanah. Berdasarkan hasil analisis tanah dari pengujian laboratorium, maka dilakukan pemilihan teknik pemupukan yang tepat. Selain memperbaiki kualitas tanah, juga dilakukan perbaikan kualitas dan kuantitas tanaman kopi supaya mencapai hasil yang maksimal dengan melakukan peremajaan tanaman kopi. Untuk  meningkatkan manajemen pengolahan kopi menjadi produk kopi dan meningkatkan jumlah hasil produk kopi, dilakukan dengan pengadaan alat roasting yang baik dan pemasaran hasil produk kopi yang baik pula.

Abstract

The external working environment, the distance to fill the hydrant water stock and the location of the fire are among the factors that constrain the performance of the fire team. There are differences in the results of research on the work environment that affect performance. From the results of research on the work environment there is a positive effect and there is a negative effect. This research was conducted with the aim of examining the effect of the work environment on the performance of the Salatiga City fire fighting team. The sampling technique used Saturation Sampling with the entire population sampled as many as 32 personnel. The data collection methods used interviews and questionnaires, while the analysis tools were simple linear regression. The results of the study prove that the performance environment has a positive and significant effect on the performance of the Salatiga City fire fighting team, indicated by a p-value (0.01) <0.05. This proves that the better the work environment, the better the performance of the Salatiga City fire fighting team, and vice versa.

Abstract

Gojek is an application commonly used in Indonesia, based on a survey by the Yayasan Lembaga Konsumen Indonesia (YLKI). Since the Covid-19 pandemic emerged, various adaptations to new habits called the New Normal have been implemented, causing a change in the lifestyle of Gojek drivers. Another habit studied was bad habit, which according to the American Psychological Association is common in millennials and causes them to experience stress. The purpose of this study was to analyse whether bad habits and the New Normal habit affect Gojek drivers’ performance in Salatiga. The respondents in this study were 160 Gojek drivers. Respondents' answers regarding bad habits are high, especially on the habit of drivers who sit for too long, in their routine of riding motorcycles. Based on the answers, the habits of the new normal era were also high, especially in the understanding of drivers in using masks correctly. This research was conducted using a quantitative causality method. The hypothesis testing using multiple linear regression analysis shows that bad habits and new normal habits simultaneously affect drivers’ performance. On other hand, the habits of the new normal habit positively affect drivers’ performance, while bad habits have no effect on the performance of Gojek drivers in Salatiga even though it was high.

Abstract

Every company has its own organizational culture, in which the organizational culture will affect the employee performance and also company performance. Kaizen culture originated from Japan is a culture of continuous improvement with low cost and the impact can be felt in the future. If the Kaizen culture combined with reward will also be able to improve the employee performance. The purpose of this research is to analyze the influence of Kaizen culture to employee performance with reward as a moderating variable. This a quantitative exploratory research using Moderated Regression Analysis (MRA). The data collection method is using questionnaire, with sample of 93 respondents of warehouse department of PT SM Karangjati, Semarang. The result of this study indicated that Kaizen culture influence employee performance and reward can moderate or strengthen the impact of Kaizen culture on employee performance.
