Abstract

Ethnomathematics plays an important role to support a more meaningful concepts understanding in learning mathematics. The Kudus kretek dance is one of the entomathematics that supports understanding the concept of geometry. This study aims to examine the ethnomathematics of kretek dance which involves mathematical activities in learning mathematics. This research is a qualitative descriptive with an ethnographic approach. Data were collected by interview, documentation, and observation techniques. The results showed that the concept of the 900 angle was obtained through the movements of nampeni, milahi, melembar, mbathil, nggiling, sembahan, mrikso rokok, ngepak, pemasaran; the concept of acute angle is obtained through the movements of ngiteri, melembar, pemasaran; the concept of obtuse angle is obtained through ngayak, sembahan, ngiping, mrikso rokok, ngepak, pemasaran; and the concept of 1800 angle is obtained through a nggiling. The kretek dance is demonstrated in a certain beat accompaniment notation, the concept of two-dimensional geometry is found in the position of the feet of the dancers when they are doing the movement, while the concept of transformational geometry is obtained through twisting movements.

Abstract

Social science is one of the subjects given at the level of primary and secondary education, and one of the studies of social science taught is history, but in reality students actually do not like the subject of social science because it is synonymous with memorization so it feels boring and lazy to learn it, it is recorded in the history of learning that has a lot of material discussed about the past. To create a quality and enjoyable learning process, the teacher must be innovative in learning, one of which is learning using picture media. The method of data collection used is through library study techniques or library studies obtained through various sources from books and journals. This scientific paper was made to find out how the influence of the use of picture media in historical learning on student learning outcomes.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui keefektifan model pembelajaran Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) berbantuan catur terhadap hasil belajar peserta didik materi matriks. Peneliti menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif, dimana pendekatan ini digunakan untuk mengkaji populasi atau sampel khusus, metode pengumpulan data dengan menggunakan instrumen penelitian, dan evaluasi data kuantitatif atau statistik untuk menguji hipotesis tertentu. Subjek penelitian ini terdiri dari 57 siswa, kelas X TAB 1 sebanyak 27 siswa, dan kelas X TAB 2 sebanyak 30 siswa. Metode sampel menggunakan Sampling Purposive, dimana dalam pengambilan sampel tidak dipilih berdasarkan stratifikasi, pemilihan acak, atau wilayah khusus, tetapi didasarkan pada pertimbangan peneliti. Setelah data di uji dengan teknik uji regresi linier dan uji N Gain, hasil penelitian ini terlihat bahwa peningkatan hasil belajar setelah penerapan model pembelajaran Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) berbantuan catur pada materi matriks, dapat dicapai dengan menunjukkan rata-rata hasil belajar pada kelas eksperimen adalah 91,73 dan kelas kontrol adalah 78,48. Selain itu, Keefektifan model pembelajaran Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) berbantuan catur terhadap hasil belajar peserta didik materi matriks pada kelas eksperimen adalah 0,669 dan kelas kontrol adalah 0,321. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa pembelajaran dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran RealisticMathematics Education berbantuan catur lebih baik daripada menggunakan model pembelajaran Realistic Mathematics Education saja.
