Abstract

Metode penelitian quasi-eksperimental dengan pre test and post test design with control group. AbstractBenson Relaxation is the development of relaxation response method by involving patient is belief factor to relieve postoperative pain. This research was aimed to explore the effectiveness of Benson Relaxation in relieving post-operative pain of TUR prostate. The method used in this study was quasi experimental with pre test and post test design with control group. A total of 14 consecutive samples were participated in this study by divided into the intervention and control group, 7 participants respectively. Those in intervention group received Benson Relaxation combined with analgesic therapy where as in control group took analgesic therapy alone. Benson Relaxation intervention given after analgesic was taken, for 15 minutes each day for two days. The results revealed that combination between Benson Relaxation and analgesic therapy was more effective than analgesic therapy alone (p = 0,019, α = 0,05). The Implication of this research was Benson Relaxation can be applied to relieve post-operative pain of elective TUR Prostate.

HLS-EU-Q16 was used to measure health literacy level and Finnish Diabetes Risk Score (FINDRISC) questionnaire was used to measure diabetes risk factors score. The data was analyzed in univariate and bivariate analysis used Chi-square. Results: Majority of respondents had aged under 45 years old (85.7%) and male (54.8%). The health literacy level of respondents was high (59.5%) and most of them had low risk of diabetes (69.0%). By using Chi-square, health literacy level was statistically significant with diabetes risk factors score (p=0.028). The risk factors for diabetes that mostly found were overweight, low physical activity, family history of diabetes and not consumed fruit and vegetables every day. Conclusion: Health literacy level was statistically significant with diabetes risk factors score. The government should promote healthy lifestyle to decrease the risk of getting non-communicable disease such as Diabetes Mellitus not only for civil servant but also general population.

Abstract

Kata kunci: booklet, edukasi, diabetes melitus, katarak diabetik, pengetahuan INCREASE OF DIABETES MELITUS PATIENTS THROUGH EDUCATION ABOUT CATARAC WITH BOOKLET MEDIA ABSTRACT Diabetes Mellitus (DM) is one of the diseases with long-term treatment. Diabetes is often causes complications, one of them is cataracs. Diabetic cataracts can occur due to a lack of knowledge about the behavior to prevent these complications. This research aims to examine the effect of education with booklet on increasing knowledge of diabetic cataracts. The research methodology used the pra experiment design with one group pretest and posttest to 30 Prolanis Club Sanang Barigas Palangka Raya members with the selection of purposive sampling. The results of the questionnaire validity test with 21 question item which r tabel > 0,444 this mean These 21 question items is valid and reliability test was obtained alpha (0,927) > r tabel (0,444), this mean These 21 question items is reliable. On the first day the respondent was given a pretest about diabetic cataracts, diabetic cataract education and a booklet to take home. The fourth day respondents were reminded to read the booklet. The seventh day respondents were asked to answer a diabetic cataract questionnaire. The eleventh day, respondents were expected to read the booklet again and on the fourteen day respondents were asked to answer the diabetic cataract questionnaire for the final evaluation. Univariate analysis using to explain the frequency of research variables and bivariate analysis with the normality test of Shapiro-Wilk test with significance value or p value <0.05 this meaning the data are not normally distributed and need to use the Wilcoxon test. The Wilcoxon test results obtained p-value 0,000 (<0.05) which means there was an increase in knowledge after being given education with booklet.
