Abstract

The focus of this study is the effectiveness of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model assisted by hypermedia-based e-books on the results of integral calculus learning. The objectives of the study are (1) to describe the students’ learning outcomes of integral calculus which are taught through problem-based learning model with the help of a hypermedia-based e-book, and (2) to find out the effectiveness of the Problem Based Learning model with the help of a Hypermedia-Based e-book on integral calculus learning outcomes. This research employed an experiment with a posttest only control design. The study population was all students from the Department of Mathematics Education, Halu Oleo University in the 2017-2018 academic year. The study sample consisted of 60 students distributed equally in two classes namely the experimental class (30) and the control class (30). The Problem Based Learning model with the help of a hypermedia-based e-book was applied in the experimental class while the traditional learning model with the help of printed teaching materials was applied in the control class. The PBL learning model steps consist of (1) presenting contextual problems, (2) forming cooperative groups, (3) analyzing problems cooperatively, (4) presenting the results of group discussions, (5) reflections. Data were collected using the test of integral calculus learning. Then the data were analyzed descriptively and inferentially. The descriptive analysis included the mean value, variance, and standard deviation, while the inferential analysis included the data normality test, the data homogeneity test, and the average difference test. The results showed that the students' integral calculus learning outcomes taught with Problem Based Learning model was categorized well, and the PBL learning model effectively improved the integral calculus learning outcomes.

Abstract

The Direct-Instruction model which is still widely used in the learning of software modeling in higher education places more emphasis on classroom interactions initiated by the teacher. Generally, it only involves a small portion of student-to-student interaction. The direct learning systems that depend on the reflection ability of instructors only provide few opportunities for students to be actively involved in the learning process. Thus, it is different from software modeling which emphasizes Student-Centered Learning. Consequently, learning becomes ineffective and students cannot reach the minimum competency standard stated in the learning design. This paper proposes a Problem-Based Learning model that is integrated in software modeling learning at three segments: Curriculum segment, emphasizing the use of problems as the starting point of student learning; group segment, emphasizing collaboration systems (group discussion-based-learning); and student segment, stressing the Student-Directed Learning (SDL) system. The effectiveness test results show that the application of the PBL model in 3 segments (Curriculum, Individual, Group) in the learning design of Software Modeling, is effective in increasing the level of student mastery of a particular topic.

Abstract

Meningkatnya jumlah MUA di Indonesia yang menggunakan Instagram sebagai media promosi, namun nyatanya masih banyak MUA yang tidak mengerti cara pemasaran di Instagram yang mengakibatkan penjualan jasa di bidang make up sepi pelanggan. Kontribusi penelitian ini untuk meningkatkan kewirausahaan melalui sektor jasa di bidang kecantikan. Penelitan ini bertujuan menghasilkan toolkit berupa informasi strategi penggunaan Instagram sebagai media dalam komunikasi pemasaran bagi pekerjaan makeup artist yang diharapkan mampu meningkatkan penjualan jasa di bidang makeup. Menggunakan konsep IMC sebagai integrasi dari kemampuan dasar MUA (offline) dan online di Instagram. Metode penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan fenomenologi menggunakan paradigma konstruktivisme, dimana observasi Instagram dilakukan terhadap 20 MUA influencer di Indonesia yang telah ditetapkan kriterianya. Hasil penelitian ini bahwa strategi IMC yang bisa diterapkan pada instagram bagi MUA yaitu: (1) Upgrade skill Makeup; (2) Upgrade produk makeup; (3) Ciptakan engagement dengan audience; (4) Kualitas foto yang bagus; (5) Video sebagai pembuktian kekuatan makeup; (6) Penggunaan softlens mempengaruhi hasil makeup; (7) Kekuatan #Hastags pada Instagram; (8) Waktu dan konsistensi posting

Abstract

This study aims to see the role of teacher in science learning through Multiple Intelligences in Sekolah Peradaban Cilegon. This study describes the implementation of learning in Sekolah Peradaban Cilegon from the planning of learning, the implementation of learning and the assessment of learning. The method in this research is quantitative descriptive method. The research was carried out in Sekolah Peradaban Cilegon, with the subject of research is the 4th grade student and the amount are 14 students. The instrument used in this study is the observation sheet. The results of the study showed that the implementation of learning planning showed an average score of 4.66 or 93.33% which was in very suitable criteria, the implementation of learning showed an average score of 4.76 or 95.29% which was in very suitable criteria, and for the assesment of learning showed average scores of 4.5 or 90% is very suitable criteria. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that the role of teacher in science learning through Multiple Intelligences in Sekolah Peradaban Cilegon is in accordance with the criteria for learning that encourages Multiple Intelligences in Sekolah Peradaban Cilegon

EVALUASI PROGRAM KURSUS KETERAMPILANDI LEMBAGA KURSUS PELATIHAN (LKP) KARYA JELITA KOTA BANDUNG, JAWA BARAT(PENERAPAN MODEL EVALUASI CIPPO) Rani Sintiawati , Basuki Wibawa & Jenny Sista SiregarJurusan Teknologi Rias & KosmetikaFakultas TeknikUniversitas Negeri JakartaRanisintiawati8@gmail.com , bwibawa_ft@yahoo.com  Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi ketercapaian program pelatihan sebagai kegiatan untuk menentukan tingkat efektifitas suatu program pelatihan di LKP Karya Jelita Bandung, yang berfokus pada lima aspek evaluasi yaitu context, input, process, product dan outcome sehingga dapat mengungkapkan data tentang kegiatan pelatihan program kursus  serta dampak dari hasil pembelajaran bagi peserta pelatihan kursus di LKP Karya Jelita Bandung untuk program pelatihan berikutnya. Teori yang dibahas dalam penelitian kegiatan program pelatihan kursus di LKP Karya Jelita dilakukan menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif mixed methods, yang merupakan penelitian evaluasi dengan metode model evaluasi CIPPO dengan lima komponen, yaitu konteks, input, proses, dan produk serta outcome. sebagai upaya meningkatkan LKP Karya Jelita dengan program berikutnya agar  menghasilkan lulusan yang bisa berwirausaha ataupun bekerja untuk meningkatkan pendapatan keluarga, serta satuan pendidikan luar sekolah.  Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik Purposive Sampling Teknik pengumpulan data melalui wawancara, kuesioner, angket dan dokumen. Analisis data menggunakan statistik Deskriptif dan persentase. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pelaksanaan program di LKP Karya Jelita secara keseluruhan  menunjukkan bahwa berjalan dengan baik dengan pencapaian sesuai tujuan,yang meliputi : 1) Evaluasi context sudah sesuai dengan SOP/Peraturan yang berlaku 2) Evaluasi Input yang terdiri dari aspek prosedur seleksi penerimaan sesuai SOP LKP Karya Jelita 3) Evaluasi Proses pada aspek proses perencanaan program pelatihan tidak diawali dengan identifikasi kebutuhan programds pelatihan dikarenakan keterbatasan anggaran,selanjutnya pada aspek pelaksanaan sudah berjalan dengan baik, aspek proses monitoring telah dilakukan sesuai SOP LKP Karya Jelita 4) Evaluasi Produk, Presentase tingkat kelulusan  peserta pelatihan sebesar 100%. 5) Evaluasi Outcome, presentase tingkat keterserapan lulusan di dunia usaha dan industri serta wirausaha (outcome) . Kata Kunci : Kursus, Evaluasi, Program, CIPPO, Dampak

Abstract

The aim of this research was to determine the effect of metacognitive instructional strategy and cognitive style on students’ mathematics problem solving ability in the seventh grade of Madrasah Tsanawiyah, Wanasaba district. The research method used a quasi-experimental with 3 x 2 ANOVA factorial design. The results indicate that: (1) students’ ability on mathematics problem solving who uses IDEAL metacognitive instructional strategy is higher than who uses KWL and learning portfolio. (2) the ability on mathematics problem solving of students with field independent cognitive style is higher than field dependent cognitive style. (3) There is an interaction effect between metacognitive instructional strategy and cognitive style on mathematics problem solving. (4) the ability on mathematics problem solving of students with field independent cognitive style who was taught with IDEAL metacognitive instructional strategy is higher than who was taught by KWL and learning portfolio. (5) the ability on mathematics problem solving of students with field dependent cognitive style who was taught with IDEAL and KWL metacognitive instructional strategy is lower than by learning portfolio.

Abstract

Penelitian tindakan ini mengangkat tentang Peningkatkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah dan hasil belajar matematika melalui model pembelajaran berbasis masalah. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di SMA Negeri 1 Polongbangkeng Utara Kabupaten Takalar, bekerjasama dengan guru mata pejaran untuk memberikan tindakan (proses pembelajaran dengan model pembelajaran berbasis masalah) dan berkolaborasi dengan guru dari sekolah lain yang telah mendapatkan pelatihan K13..Penelitian tindakan ini dilaksanakan pada semester genap, tahun ajaran 2017/2018.Sebelumnya peneliti telah melakukan studi pendahuluan mulai bulan September 2015. Manfaat penelitian ini adalah dapat menemukan berbagai kendala sekaligus pemecahannya, Secara khusus, untuk: (1) Meningkatkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah siswa melalui pendekatan saintifik dengan model pembelajaran berbasis masalah, (2) Meningkatkan hasil belajar matematika siswa melalui pendekatan saintifik dengan model pembelajaran berbasis masalah. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran berbasis masalah terjadi perubahan pada siswa, yaitu siswa menjadi tertarik, dan aktif serta termotivasi sehingga meningkatkan hasil belajar matematika siswa.

Abstract

Industrial era 4.0, is an era of challenges and hopes for the world of education. In this disruptive era, education must be able to improve and innovate in order to survive and continue to face the challenges of the times. The world of education has great hopes in the era of digitalization in an effort to facilitate the achievement of educational goals. This article wants to provide an overview of flipped classroom learning strategies in the 4.0 era with all the challenges. Based on the results of research that have been carried out proven flipped classroom strategy can effectively improve student chemistry learning outcomes. The research was carried out through a quantitative approach using an experimental method with 2x2 Treatment by Level design on chemistry subjects on Thermochemistry subject matter and rate of reaction. Thermochemistry and rate of reaction are the subjects with the lowest achievement in the 2016 National Examination (UN) results, which is 27% in Thermochemistry and 31% in the rate of reaction. Therefore, it is necessary to innovate learning strategies that are expected to be appropriate and can improve student learning outcomes in this 4.0 era. Then how should flipped classroom learning strategies be packaged in this disruptive era?

Abstract

E-book is a digital form of printed book which includes digital information in the form of text, image, audio and video. Hypermedia-based e-book is a digital book with text, image, audio, video and animation where these multimedia components are connected.   Thus it enables someone to access information provided from different places quickly. In order to develop hypermedia-based E-book, some learning theories can be taken into consideration such as behaviorist theory, cognitive theory, constructivist theory and system learning approach.  The advantages of hypermedia-based e-book are (1) enabling students to work on assignment individually or in group, (2) monitoring learning progress, (3) attractive size and composition, (4) the content can be customized to suit the learner’s context, (5) learners can be active in constructing the content, (6) mental involvement and higher-order thinking process development, (7)the content of E-book is relevant with the learner’s prior knowledge, (8) the content enables the learners to work together to comprehend the information, (9) teachers can be supervisors, (10) the questions are challenging and realistic for learners, (11) learners can interact with E-book. Besides, E-book also possesses some disadvantages such as (1) special skills to make and design hypermedia-based E-book, (2) special tools needed to access E-book, (3) for inexperienced user, accessing E-book can be quite difficult.
