Abstract

This study aims to determine the suitability of land and carrying capacity for seaweed farming in the coastal area of Suppa District Pinrang Regency, assess the feasibility of seaweed cultivation development; identify factors of strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats that affect the development of seaweed cultivation area; formulating a seaweed cultivation development strategy The method used is: spatial data analysis with Geogerafis Information System method, SWOT analysis to determine the strategy of seaweed cultivation area development. The results showed that the width of land suitability for seaweed cultivation based on land suitability map was appropriate (S) ± 578,57 hectare and not appropriate (N) ± 759,68 hectare, while the carrying capacity of land for seaweed cultivation is ± 173,571 hectare. Priority of Seaweed Development Strategy based on the results of the analysis, determined the eight best strategies of seaweed cultivation business development 1. Develop a cultivation processing, 2. Provide training gradually. 3. Provide gradual counseling, 4. Optimize existing production capacity, 5. Expand the cultivation area, 6. Optimize production, 7. Increased access to capital, 8. Expand and maintain network marketing.

Abstract

This study aims to determine land suitability for seaweed cultivation in the Parepare Bay Region, assessing the feasibility of developing seaweed cultivation; identify factors that influence the development of seaweed cultivation; Conformity evaluation conducted in this study is the actual suitability or suitability of seaweed cultivation land, where the resulting land suitability class is only based on available data, not considering social, economic, financial, and other aspects. The research method used is a direct survey at the research location. The results of the land suitability analysis are based on the suitability matrix: spatial data analysis using the Geogerafis Information System method, to determine the suitability of seaweed cultivation land. Abstract

Fisheries resources that are open access allow overfishing to occur if not handled properly. To prevent this from happening, proper management and utilization of various types of marine resources is necessary. Information on fish distribution is one of the important things in an effort to find the best way in fisheries management. This paper tries to study the distribution of small pelagic fish in relation to oceanographic parameters that affect the movement of fish in the Makassar Strait using remote sensing satellite methods. This research was conducted in May-July 2021 in Makassar Strait waters. The data used in this study are point data and catches of small pelagic fish and oceanographic parameters from remote sensing satellite data. These data were then analyzed using GAM analysis. The results of this study indicate that oceanographic parameters have an influence on catches, in the SST range of 29.5°C – 30.5°C and CHL in the CHL range of 0.5 mg/m3 - 0.8 mg/m3 have a strong influence on the catch of small pelagic fish. The highest average catch was 44.4 kg of small pelagic fish in June.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the impact of seaweed cultivation on the water quality of vannamei shrimp aquaculture ponds in the Suppa District, Pinrang Regency. This research was conducted for approximately 10 (ten) years in 2020. The research location was around the waters of the Suppa District, Pinrang Regency. includes preparation / preliminary observation in the field, determining sample points or selecting observation stations, collecting data in the field, taking samples then observing the laboratory, and making reports. Analysis of water quality for seaweed cultivation includes parameters of Salinity, Temperature, DO, pH, Nitrate and Phosphate. Based on laboratory tests, it is known that for analysis of seaweed cultivation water quality, the average value of each parameter is temperature 30 0c, Salinity 36 ppt, DO 6.44 ppm, pH 8.30, Flow 0.35 m / s, Brightness 58%, Nitrate 0.005 mg / l, and 0.00026 ppm Phosphate While the results of laboratory analysis of physical and chemical parameters in the area of ​​vannamei shrimp pond cultivation in Suppa District, Pinrang Regency, it is known that the average value of each parameter is temperature 30 0c, Salinity 33 ppt, DO 6.0 ppm, pH 8.4, Nitrate 0.0061 mg / l, and Phosphate 0.0032 ppm. The analysis of the suitability of pond land based on the analysis carried out found that it was suitable for 727.66 ha. And the effect of seaweed cultivation is very good for its influence on the quality of white shrimp pond water.

Abstract

A Suckermouth catfish is one type of fish that is considered a pest in the waters because it is invasive (invasive species). In addition to being a pest species, Suckermouth catfish is also known as one type of fish species that has a fairly high heavy metal content in some waters that are classified as polluted waters. This research was conducted with the aim of knowing the content of chemical elements contained in Suckermouth catfish. Based on the results of XRF (X-Ray Fluoroscence) analysis, it shows that there are 14 chemical elements found in the organs of the broom fish, including Sulfur (S), Potassium (K), Calcium (Ca), Phosphorus (F), Silicon (Si). ), Chlorine (Cl), Iron (Fe), Zinc (Zn), Niobium (Nb), Molybdenum (Mo), Antimony (Sb), Ruthenium (Ru), Indium (In), Tin (Sn) and Titanium (Ti ). Meanwhile, based on the results of XRD (X-Ray Diffraction) analysis on the scales of the Suckermouth catfish, the micrograph results obtained in the form of an amorphous which is indicated by the presence of a hump on the graph consisting of 10% Cadmium Mercury, 81% Phosphorus and 9% Calcium, while in the bone Suckermouth catfish consists of 40% Calcium Hydride, 59% Akermanite, and 0.96% Cadmium.

Abstract

The Sailfin Catfish is one of the invasive fish species. The occurrence of sailfin catfish population explosion in the waters of Lake Sidenreng which disturbs gill net fishermen is one of the main problems that have not been found to solve it. Due to its impact on catch production, catch effectiveness and sustainability of aquatic biodiversity, this research was carried out with the aim of knowing the effect of sailfin catfish population explosion on gill net fishermen's income. This research was conducted for three months, namely from June to August 2020 in Wette'e Village and in the Village of Teteaji Kab. Sidenreng Rappang. The average income of gill-net fishermen before the sailfin catfish population explosion tended to be higher than that of the fishermen after the sailfin catfish population explosion occurred. The highest income of fishermen before the Sailfin catfish population explosion was Rp. 550,000 with the lowest income of Rp. 50,000, while the highest income of fishermen after the sailfin catfish population explosion was Rp. 200,000 with the lowest income of Rp. 15,000. Meanwhile, based on the results of the analysis of the Mann Whitney test, the calculated z value of -1.878 and the Asympe sig (2 tailed) value of 0.060 The significance probability value is lower than ɑ = 0.05. This means that H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted so that it can be concluded that the sailfin catfish population explosion had an effect on fishermen's income before the sailfin catfish population explosion and after the sailfin catfish population explosion occurred.

Abstract

Penentuan lokasi budidaya rumput laut menggunakan aplikasi sistem informasi geografis di wilayah pesisir Kecamatan Suppa. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan berkisar sepuluh bulan pada tahun 2020. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menentukan kesesuain lahan pada budidaya rumput laut dengan menggunakan aplikasi ‘Sistem Informasi Geografis’. Penelitian ini memiliki karakteristik lahan sebagai penyusun kualitas lahan untuk budidaya rumput laut yaitu: tinggi gelombang, kecepatan arus, pasang surut, kedalaman, kekeruhan, suhu, salinitas, pH, nitrat dan fosfat. Penelitian ini memiliki tujuan sebagai bahan informasi dalam usaha perbaikan kualitas dan rencana pengelolaan ekosistem pesisir secara terpadu dan berkelanjutan terhadap pengambil kebijakan dalam hal ini pemerintah setempat serta memberikan gambaran tentang pentingnya budidaya rumput laut di wilayah pesisir. Adapun hasil analisis data spasial lokasi kesesuaian lahan budidaya rumput laut yang memiliki golongan sesuai ±996,63Hektar dan tidak sesuai ±361,25 Hektar oleh sebab itu sangat baik dilakukan budidaya rumput laut dengan luas wilayah sangat tinggi memungkinkan dilakukan budidaya rumput laut berbasis lingkungan. Abstract

The purpose of this research is to analyze the development strategy of seaweed cultivation to increase seaweed production in the coastal area of Suppa District, Pinrang Regency. This research was conducted in the coastal area of Supa District, Pinrang Regency from May to December 2021. Data collection methods include observations, interviews and documents. The data analysis used is a SWOT analysis. The results showed that the main factors for developing seaweed cultivation business strategies to increase production in the coastal areas of Suppa District, Pinrang Regency, are a) development of aquaculture, b) providing training in stages, c) providing consultations, d) optimizing existing production capacity, e) Expanding planting areas, f) optimizing production, g) increasing funding, h) expanding and maintaining marketing networks.

Abstract

Konsumsi protein hewani masyarakat yang rendah, perlu ditingkatkan dengan menyediakan sumber protein yang berkualitas dan harga terjangkau. Ikan lele, dengan budidaya sistem intensif, dapat menjawab 2 tentangan tersebut, sumber protein berkualitas dan murah. Budidaya sistem bioflok memungkinkan terjadinya efisiensi penggunaan pakan sekaligus menaikan padat tebar ikan, sehingga cocok dilakukan di perkotaan dengan keterbatasan lahan. Budidaya sistem bioflok dilakukan dengan menumbuhkan mikroba yang akan mengurai amonnia hasil feses dan sisa pakan yang kemudian berguna sebagai sumber pakan alami bagi ikan. Analisa usaha lele sistem bioflok apabila dilakukan pada 1 buah kolam berdiameter 3 meter ketinggian air 1 meter dengan ivestasi awal Rp 1,350.000 serta biaya produksi benih dan pakan berkisar Rp 1,780.000, istimasi pendapatan dan keuntungan 1 periode berkisar Rp 940.000 atau keuntungan perbulan Rp 313.300. kiranya pengelolaan budidaya sistem biofok dapat di kembangkan lebih baik lagi.

Abstract

The results of the analysis using GIS software produce a thematic map of land suitability for lobster culture of the Karamba Floating Nets system with the suitability category obtained by adding up the values ​​of all parameters to get the final score so that the values ​​obtained between classes (Ci) are obtained. The Ci value obtained was 0.7 with a maximum Result Score (SHB) score of 3.0 and a minimum value of 0.8. The suitability category is determined based on the range or class interval where the corresponding criteria (S) are in the class interval 1.6 - 3.0 and the criteria does not match (N) based on the SHB interval 0.8 - 1.5. The results of the suitability evaluation conducted in this study are the actual suitability or land suitability, where the resulting land suitability class is only based on available data, not considering social, economic, financial, and other aspects. The results of the land suitability analysis based on the suitability matrix of the merging results for the lobster culture of the KJA system obtained the appropriate criteria (S) of 71.06 ha and not suitable (N) of 89.15 ha.
