Abstract

This study aims to: 1) Knowing the condition of Tomato farming in Tesbatan Village, 2) Knowing the Tomato marketing pattern in Tesbatan Village, 3) Knowing the amount of income, profit, farmer share, and marketing margin received by Tomato farmers in Tesbatan Village, 4) Knowing the efficiency level of Tomato marketing in Tesbatan Village. The method used in this research is quantitative descriptive analysis. The results showed that: 1). The farming condition in Tesbatan Village is very advanced, where it fills good tomato cultivation methods, and uses certified seeds. 2). There are two patterns of tomato marketing carried out by farmers in Tesbatan Village, namely: a). farmers sell directly to last consumers, b). farmers sell their crops to retailers and then to last consumers. 3). The amount of farm income received by farmers in Tesbatan Village in 2019 is Rp. 670,696,500 with an average income per respondent farmer of Rp. 17,649,908; The farmer's share value in the Tomato marketing channel in Tesbatan Village, in the first marketing channel was 100, while in the second marketing was 75; as well as the marketing margin of Tomatoes in Tesbatan Village, Amarasi District, Kupang Regency, namely Rp. 5000. 3). Tomato farming and marketing in Tesbatan Village is very efficient because it has a value of less than 1.

Abstract

This research was conducted at the Nekamese Farmer Group and the Independent Business of Baumata Timur Village, Taebenu District, Kupang Regency, from November to December 2020. This study aims to determine: 1) The level of dynamics of farmer group members in farming, 2) Factors that affect farmer groups in Bussiness. This research was conducted by survey method. The location of the research was determined purposively with the consideration that the Nekamese Farmer Group and the Mandiri business were farmer groups that were still active in East Baumata Village. The population in this study were all of the Nekamese Farmer Group and Independent Enterprises, which amounted to 30 people. The type of data collected is primary data obtained from direct interviews with respondents who are guided by the list of questions while secondary data is obtained through searching written documents, related agencies and literature related to research. To find out the first objective, the data were analyzed using a Likert scale, and to answer the second objective, the data were analyzed using the Sperman Rank statistical nonparametric test as follows: Analysis of the average and presentation. The results of this study indicate that: 1) The level of dynamics of the Nekamese Farmer Group and Independent Enterprises in East Baumata Village, Taebenu District, Kupang Regency is in the Not Dynamic category with an average score of 2.19 with a maximum percentage of 43.85%. The element that contributes the most to the dynamics of the farmer group is the element of group effectiveness with an average score of 43.85 and a percentage of 94%. The element that contributes the least to group dynamics is the element of group development with an average score of 2.5 and a percentage of 50%. 2) The factors faced by farmers in the Nekamese Farmer Group and Independent Enterprises, Taebenu District, Kupang Regency are inappropriate group functions and tasks so that the satisfaction of each group member is not achieved, the government's lack of attention and cooperation within the group.

Abstract

Research on farmers' perceptions of local wisdom on corn farming activities has been carried out at Sonraen Village, South Amarasi District, Kupang Regency on August to September 2019 with the aim of: (1) to find out what Local Wisdom still survives on corn farming activities in the research area; (2) To find out what values ​​are contained in Local Wisdom on corn farming activities. (3) to analyze the extent of the perception of the farming community on local wisdom on corn farming activities. The method used in this research is in-depth interview method. Determining the location of research carried out deliberately. The analysis shows that; (1) Local wisdom that still survives are tradition of. Tof Rene tradition Tsifo Nopo tradition Tsimo Tsuan tradition Toit Uran tradition Eka Hoe tradition Tkau Uran tradition Tatam Pena Tauf and tradition Tanon tradition Seki Pena tradition Tnau Baraif and tradition Save So’e; (2) The Most Prominent Values Found in Each Tradition Include : Spiritual Values, Pandeistic Values, Togetherness Values and Religious Values. (3) the level of perception of the farming community towards local wisdom on corn farming activities at the village of Sonraen. South Amarasi Sub-District. Kupang Regency is on the Good category, with the presentation achieving the score at 77.33%.

Abstract

This research aimed to determine the ability of farmers in applying the methods or techniques of kangkung cultivation and the priority issues faced by kangkong farmers. Kupang Regency was chosen as a research site because there were kangkong farmers working with markets. This research used a case research method, and the type of data collected consists of primary data and secondary data, the data collection starts from December to January 2021, the data analysis uses Likert scaling analysis. The measured variables were problems related to aspects of kangkong cultivation. The results showed that the cultivation of kangkong (Ipomea reptans poir) at the research site was not done well, as it was still being grown seasonally and using only farmland. So it really needs agricultural extension when applying these 7 aspects. The eradication of pests and diseases was a priority problem for farmers in organic Kangkung vegetable cultivation in Baumata Timur Village, Taebenu District, Kupang Regency, where the mean level of interest was above the All Mean value (2.56 > 2.48) and the average ability level was lower than the overall average skill level (2.36 < 2.4).
