Abstract

Evaluasi dari penampilan adaptabilitas dan stabilitas merupakan hal penting dalam hasil pelaksanaan percobaan pada lingkungan yang berbeda. Setiap varietas dalam suatu genotip harus dipertimbangkan kelebihan adaptasi atau stabilnya jika hasil rata-ratanya tinggi tetapi tingkat fluktuasi dalam kemampuan hasil akan berbeda perkembangannya pada lingkungan yang berbeda pula. Percobaan ini dilaksanakan di Jatinangor, Purwakarta and Lembang pada bulan 2008 sampai 2009. Lima belas hibrida BR ditanam menggunakan model rancangan acak dengan tiga ulangan. Data dianalisis dengan analisis varians tunggal, varians gabungan dan AMMI (additive main effects and multiplicative interantion). AMMI model merupakan kombinasi analisis dari varians terhadap efek genotip x lingkungan dengan komponen analisis utama dari interaksi genotip x lingkungan. Hibrida yang memperlihatkan stabilitas dan hasil yang cukup tinggi pada dua musim adalah hibrida DR 19 x DR 4. Sedangkan hibrida  yang memperlihatkan adaptasi spesifik adalah BR 163 x DR 16 pada lokasi Lembang musim kedua dan DR 17 x DR 16 pada lokasi Jatinangor musim pertama.

Abstract

Hibrida yang stabil dan adaptif merupakan syarat penting untuk meningkatkan produksi jagung di Indonesia. Delapan puluh tiga genotip hibrida jagung diuji multilokasi dengan tujuan menduga interaksi genotip x lingkungan, stabilitas dan adaptabilitas hasil (ton/ha) dalam rangka pengembangan varietas unggul di Indonesia. Setiap percobaan dengan rancangan acak kelompok yang terdiri dari perlakuan 83 hibrida dan empat hibrida cek yang diulang tiga kali, dilakukan di empat lokasi yang bervariasi dari dataran tinggi, medium, dan rendah yang tersebar di Pulau Jawa. Data dianalisis dengan analisis varians tunggal, varians gabungan, dan AMMI (additive main effect and multiplicative interaction). Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa interaksi genotip x lingkungan untuk karakter hasil tanaman jagung pada umunya merupakan fenomena yang nyata. Hibrida yang memperlihatkan hasil yang tinggi dan stabil adalah DR 7 x DR 16. Sedangkan hibrida yang memperlihatkan adaptasi spesifik adalah BR 163 x DR untuk dataran rendah Boyolali. DR 2 x DR 16, DR 19 x DR 16, dan DR 12 x DR 16 merupakan hibrida yang beradaptasi baik di dataran tinggi Lembang. Hibrida unggul spesifik wilayah dianjurkan untuk dilepas guna meningkatkan efisiensi dan efektivitas proses pelepasan varietas.

Abstract

The information on germplasm diversity and genetic relatedness among elite breeding materials is an important element in maize breeding. Molecular characterization and genetic relationship of 11 QPM-DMR lines were analysed using thirty three SSRs markers. Genetic relationship was determined using Jaccard’s similarity coefficient, and dendogram was then constructed based on the unweighted pair-group method with arithmetical averages (UPGMA). Result showed that (i) all SSRs loci were informative for describing the genotypic variation as showed by their PIC, which ranged from 0.19 for umc1304 to 0.93 for phi112; (ii) the eleven maize inbred lines were clustered into one major group A and small groups B and C that corresponds well with the breeding programs adopted at different institutes of release, and (iii) thus, SSRs marker system is a valuable marker for varietals identification and for genetic diversity study of elite breeding materials.

Abstract

Studi stabilitas hasil merupakan tahapan penting dalam menyeleksi hibrida superior yang beradaptasi luas ataupun yang beradaptasi sempit (spesifik lokasi). Tujuh genotip hibrida jagung diuji multilokasi di delapan lokasi yang bervariasi dan tersebar di berbagai wilayah Indonesia dengan tujuan menduga interaksi genotip x lingkungan, stabilitas dan adaptabilitas hasil (ton/ha) dalam rangka pengembangan varietas unggul di Indonesia. Di setiap lokasi, sebuah percobaan dengan tujuh hibrida DR dan empat hibrida cek dilaksanakan dalam rancangan acak kelompok, diulang tiga kali. Data dianalisis dengan analisis varians, analisis varians gabungan, least significance increase (LSI), dan analisis model additive main effect and multiplicative interaction (AMMI). Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa interaksi genotip x lingkungan untuk karakter hasil tanaman jagung merupakan fenomena yang nyata. Hibrida yang memperlihatkan hasil yang tinggi dan stabil adalah Var B, G, dan F. Hibrida unggul spesifik wilayah antara lain: Var E dengan lokasi Klaten dan Var H pada lokasi Jatinangor. Var C beradaptasi spesifik pada lokasi Boyolali.

Abstract

Study adaptability is an important step to select superior hybrids which have wide adaptability or specific adaptability. Fifhteen of DR Unpad hybrids have purpose to know about stability and adaptability for yield characters (yield ton/ha), ear weight of plot (kg), ear weight of sample (kg), and grain weight of sample (kg) of DR Unpad hybrids in East Java and to determine GxE interaction on two plant seasons for build up superior variety in Indonesia. Three location and each location two seasons, fifhteen hybrids and four tester cultivar were tested and randomized complete block design with three replications. Data were analysis of variance, complete analysis variance, and AMMI. The results indicated that there was GxE interaction  for yield character. Thus, for yield performance, hybrids Var R showed high stability and high yield. Var R, C, and Var G have a wide adaptability for yield. Var C and R had specific  adaptation in marginal location in Sidoarjo  on second season. And hybrids Var F and Var B specific for Ngronggot on second season which that location was a good environment.

Abstract

Improvement of high yield maize cultivars possessing high quality of seed as showed by high lysine and tryptophan content must be fulfilled with resistance against downy mildew pathogen in any maize breeding program. A set of experiment to study genetic variability and to estimate both heritability and heterosis of important characters of grain yield on DMR and QPM lines has been conducted. Four downy mildew resistance (DMR) lines, i.e. Nei 9008, P 345, Ki 3, and MR 10; three quality protein maize (QPM) lines, including CML 161, CML 163, and CML 172; and their single cross hybrids formed based on line × tester mating design were used in the experiment. The following characters: height of the first ear, seeds number per row, seed weight per ear, and grain yield per plot showed broad genetic variability. Narrow sense heritability (hns) of grain yield and its components ranged from 0.01 to 0.71. Broad sense heritability (hbs), on the other hand, ranged from 0.20 to 0.74. It was found that hybrid derived from crossing between parental inbred lines possessing broad genetic background would express high heterosis.

Abstract

This research aims to estimate income, return-cost ratio (R/C ratio) and input optimization of Sarjana Membangun Desa Wirausahawan Pendamping (SMDWP) assited beef cattle farmers in Tasikmalaya District with different business systems, mainly to observe internalization of externalities by integrating waste management system into their business system. Data collection was conducted in September and October 2016 at SMDWP asissited beef cattle farmers groups in Tasikmalaya District. Quantitative reseach, in which the data were analyzed with statistical analysis by calculating the average income, R/C ratio and Cobb Douglass regression function to observe input optimization. Data collection conducted by census. The results of this research suggest that the highest income estimation and R/C ratio was beef cattle fattening farmers with integrated waste management system which cattle ownership is above 5 AU more, which is Rp.10.275.000 /month and 2,301 respectively. The lowest income estimation and R/C ratio was beef cattle breeding farmers without integrated waste management system which cattle ownership between 3-4 AU, which is Rp.454.127/month and 1,125 respectively. Factors that technically affect the production function was the amount of forages, amount of concentrate feeds, initial cattle weight, cattle breeds. Input application in the beef cattle farming at SMDWP fostered beef cattle farmers groups in Tasikmalaya District are not optimized, which is the amount of forages, amount of concentrate feeds, and initial cattle weight.
