Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mengetahui efektivitas metode pembelajaran braimstorming dalam meningkatkan kemampuan menulis teks berita pada mahasiswa semester VI Program Studi Pendidikan Bahasa dan sastra Indonesia FKIP Unbara. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode eksperimen dengan menggunakan desain Pra-eksperimental. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh mahasiswa semester VI Program Studi Pendidikan Bahasa dan Sastra Indonesia yang berjumlah 137 mahasiswa dan sampel berjumlah 27 orang diambil dengan menggunakan metode sample random sampling. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data, rata-rata post-test adalah 84,44  dan skor  rata-rata  pre-test adalah 64,44. Hasil uji t menyatakan bahwa thitung lebih besar dari ttabel (0.05:27). Maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa ada perbedaan kemampuan menulis antara metode konvensional dan menggunakan  metode pembelajaran brainstorming. Maka dapat  disimpulkan bahwa ada  perbedaan skor rata-rata dari nilai pre-test  menggunakan metode pembelajaran brainstorming lebih tinggi  dari  metode konvensional. Maka, dapat disimpulkan bahwa pembelajaran dengan menggunakan metode brainstorming lebih efektif dalam pembelajaran menulis teks berita. Kata Kunci: Metode brainstorming, Keterampilan menulis, Teks berita.

Abstract

CREATIVITY OF SIPATUHU VILLAGE BUMDES MANAGEMENT IN PROMOTING PROCESSED FOOD PRODUCTS THROUGH THE WEBSITE. Empowerment of village communities based on the superior potential of the village is the key to increasing welfare and community independence. Sipatuhu Village, Banding Agung Subdistrict, Ogan Komering Ulu Selatan District, South Sumatra Province, has a potential that other villages do not have. Sipatuhu village has abundant potential for plantation resources, namely robusta coffee and palm sugar, the largest in South Sumatra. The Village Government, Village-Owned Enterprise Managers, and elements of the Sipatuhu Village community are working together to improve the potential management capacity so that it has high economic value. In addition to increasing the capacity of village productive economic governance, creative efforts were also made to innovate in designing promotional media and marketing of products in the form of processed robusta coffee, and sugar and liquid palm sugar made from palm sap, through the website. The use of information technology was chosen to expand the product marketing reach to potential consumers, if previously it was still done conventionally. This effort has produced positive results, although it is still simple, the website as a promotional medium has been successfully realized, by developing both the views on the website design, as well as the narrative and promotional content displayed.

Abstract

This study investigated students’ perception of using the internet as learning media in reading comprehension skills. This study uses descriptive statistics. The objective of the research was to find out the students’ perception of using the internet as learning media in the reading comprehension skill of the English Education Study Program at Baturaja University. The population of this research was 79 students of English Study Program. The researcher only took 54 students as the sample by applying purposive sampling. The data was collected through the questionnaire that consisted of 20 statements. Then the researcher used five points of Likert scale for analyzing the data. The result of this research there agreed (4.03) students had a positive perception of using the internet as learning media in reading comprehension skills. It means that the internet is a facility to improve his proficiency in language skills. So the use internet for English learning makes language learning an easier process by being fun, interactive, and interesting.

Abstract

Abstract: Students Perception of Using Online Learning Environment in Writing Class During Pandemic Covid-19. Objective: This study aims to analyses students perception of using online learning in writing class during pandemic covid 19. Methods: The method used in this research is descriptive The subject of this research was 51 students of English Education Study Progra which only took in semester 2 and 4. Findings: The result of this research in indicator of students participation with mean score 3,68 in high category. In indicator effect of online learning with mean score 3,67 in high category. In indicator teachers role as facilitator with mean score 3,61 in medium category. In indicator of social context with mean score 3,72 in high category. Conclusion: Majority of students agree that in pandemic situation online learning is a facility that can be used in learning process especially in writing class.Keywords: perception, online learning, writing class.Abstrak: Students Perception of Using Online Learning Environment in Writing Class During Pandemic Covid-19. Subjek penelitian ini adalah 51 mahasiswa Program Studi Pendidikan Bahasa Inggris yang terdiri dari mahasiswa semester 2 dan semester 4. Temuan: Hasil penelitian pada indikator partisipasi mahasiswa dengan rerata skor 3,68 pada kategori tinggi. Pada indikator pengaruh pembelajaran online dengan rerata skor 3,67 termasuk dalam kategori tinggi. Pada indikator peran guru sebagai fasilitator dengan rerata skor 3,61 pada kategori sedang. Pada indikator konteks sosial dengan rerata skor 3,72 termasuk dalam kategori tinggi. Kesimpulan: Mayoritas siswa setuju bahwa dalam situasi pandemi, pembelajaran online merupakan fasilitas yang dapat digunakan dalam proses pembelajaran khususnya di kelas menulis.Kata kunci: persepsi, pembelajaran online, kelas menulis.DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.23960/jpp.v12.i1.202211

Abstract

This study aims to see the effectiveness of project based learning on the academic writing skills of STIE Dwi Sakti Baturaja students. The research method used in this study was a pre-experiment with a research design of One Group Pretest-Posttest Design. The sample of this study amounted to 60 students. The data collection technique used a test technique which was divided into pretest and posttest. The data processing technique used a t-test calculation with the SPSS 20 program. The results showed that project based learning was effective on students' academic writing skills. Furthermore, students who can improve their score at least 10 points better than the score they get from the initial test with a score above 90 there are 11 students. Furthermore, students who have a score of more than 78 there are 14 students. A total of 35 students got a minimum score of 78 after using PBL in their writing activities.

Abstract

Abstrak Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengukur efektivitas project-based writing (PBW) terhadap keterampilan menulis akademik mahasiswa. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah praeksperimen dengan rancangan penelitian one group pretest-posttest design. Populasi penelitian berjumlah 60 mahasiswa STIE Dwi Sakti Baturaja. Teknik pengambilan sampel yang digunakan adalah sampel jenuh sehingga keseluruhan populasi dalam penelitian dijadikan sampel penelitian. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan tes berupa pretest dan posttest. Pengolahan data dilakukan dengan perhitungan uji-t dengan bantuan program aplikasi SPSS 20. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan PBW efektif terhadap keterampilan menulis akademik mahasiswa. Nilai rata-rata posttest mengalami peningkatan dari nilai pretest. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, maka disimpulkan bahwa penerapan PBW efektif meningkatkan keterampilan menulis akademik mahasiswa Manajemen pada mata kuliah wajib kurikulum Bahasa Indonesia. AbstractThe research aimed to measure the effectiveness of project-based writing (PBW) on students' academic writing skills. Data collection techniques used tests in the form of pretest and posttest. Data processing was carried out by calculating the t-test with the help of the SPSS 20 application program. The results showed that the application of PBW was effective on students' academic writing skills. The average value of the posttest has increased from the pretest value. Based on the results of the research, it was concluded that the application of PBW was effective in improving the academic writing skills of Management students in compulsory Indonesian language curriculum courses.

Abstract

Abstract: Students` motivation on the use of technology and its relationship with their receptive skills. Objective: to explain the link between English learners' motivation to use technology and their receptive (reading and listening) skills. Method: a correlation study was employed with 56 participants including freshman, sophomore, and junior students at Universitas Baturaja as selected through convenient sampling method. To gather the data, motivation questionnaire, reading test, and listening test were distributed and the instruments were valid and reliable. Result: students` motivation on the use of technology in learning significantly had a moderate correlation with their receptive skills (reading and listening). Conclusion: It can be derived that the EFL learners had high motivation for learning English by using technology and its relationship on their receptive skills was in a good category. Keywords: motivation, receptive skills, technology. Abstrak: Students` motivation on the use of technology and its relationship with their receptive skills. Tujuan: untuk menjelaskan hubungan antara motivasi pembelajar bahasa Inggris dalam menggunakan teknologi dan keterampilan reseptif (membaca dan mendengarkan). Metode: studi korelasional dilakukan terhadap 56 partisipan termasuk mahasiswa baru, mahasiswa tahun kedua, dan mahasiswa junior di Universitas Baturaja yang dipilih melalui metode convenience sampling. Untuk mengumpulkan data, kuesioner motivasi, tes membaca, dan tes mendengarkan dibagikan dan instrumennya valid dan reliable yang digunakan. Hasil: Motivasi siswa dalam pemanfaatan teknologi dalam pembelajaran mempunyai korelasi sedang secara signifikan terhadap keterampilan reseptifnya (membaca dan mendengarkan). Kesimpulan: Dapat disimpulkan bahwa pelajar EFL memiliki motivasi yang tinggi untuk belajar bahasa Inggris dengan menggunakan teknologi dan hubungannya dengan keterampilan reseptif mereka berada dalam kategori baik. Kata kunci: motivasi, keterampilan reseptif,teknologi.DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.23960/jpp.v13.i3.202320
