Abstract

Salah satu keterampilan berbahasa yang harus dimiliki oleh siswa.adalah keterampilan menulis. Keterampilan ini terkait erat dengan kemampuan siswa menuangkan gagasan, perasaan, pengalaman secara kreatif ke dalam simbol-simbol tertulis. Penuangan kreativitas itu dapat dipacu oleh guru melalui beberapa strategi. Salah satu strategi yang dapat digunakan adalah rekayasa teks. Rekayasa (otak-atik) dalam bahasa Indonesia sepadan dengan kata engineering dalam bahasa Inggris. Dalam tulisan ini disajikan contoh rekayasa teks yang berjudul "Sekar Romania" ke dalam bentuk tadut. Perekayasaan ini mempertimbangkan faktor sosiobudaya (kebahasaan) masyarakat bersangkutan. Proses rekayasa teks dapat dilakukan oleh siswa dalam rangka  pelestarian bahasa dan hasil rekayasa teks ini dapat pula dijadikan  bahan pembelajaran.   Kata Kunci: kemampuan, menulis, rekayasa teks

Abstract

Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindak kelas yang melibatkan 28 siswa kelas VIII SMP HMD pada semester ganjil TP 2011/2012.  Data penelitian dikumpulkan melalui observasi dan lembar penilaian keterampilan menulis. Penelitian ini menemukan bahwa (1)  sebelum dilaksanakan tindakan tidak ditemukan siswa memeroleh nilai SB, 25% memperoleh nilai B pada proses dan 3,57% pada hasil; 37,71% memeroleh nilai CB pada proses dan 21,43% pada hasil; 28,57% memperoleh nilai KB pada proses dan 46,43% pada hasil, serta 10,72% memperoleh nilai SKB pada proses dan 28,57% pada hasil; (2) setelah dilaksanakan tindakan siklus I terdapat 3,57% siswa memperoleh nilai SB pada proses dan 7,14% pada hasil, 64,29% memperoleh nilai B pada proses dan 17,86 pada hasil, 21,43% memperoleh nilai CB pada proses dan 50% pada hasil, 10,71% memperoleh nilai KB pada proses dan 25% pada hasil, dan tidak ditemukan siswa memeroleh nilai SKB; (3) setelah dilaksanakan tindakan siklus II terdapat 17,86% siswa memeroleh nilai SB pada proses dan 25% pada hasil, 82,14% memperoleh nilai B pada proses dan 21,43% pada hasil, tidak terdapat siswa memperoleh nilai di bawah B pada proses, dan 53,57% memperoleh nilai CB pada hasil; (4) sumber kebervariasian proses belajar mengungkapkan rerata kemampuan awal siswa  71,68 dengan tingkat ketuntasan (TK) 25% pada pratindakan. Setelah dilaksanakan CTL, rerata kemampuan siswa naik menjadi 79,71 pada siklus I dan 84,25 pada siklus II dengan TK 67,86% pada siklus I dan 100% pada siklus II; (5) sumber kebervariasian proses belajar mengungkapkan sebelum dilaksanakan tindakan rerata kemampuan awal siswa 71,68 dengan TK 25%; sedangkan setelah dilaksanakan CTL, rerata kemampuan siswa naik menjadi 79,71 dengan TK 67,89% pada siklus I dan 84,25 dengan TK 100% pada siklus II; (6) sumber kebervariasian hasil belajar mengungkapkan rerata kemampuan awal siswa 64,39 dengan TK 25% pada pratindakan; sedangkan setelah dilaksanakan CTL rerata kemampuan siswa naik menjadi 75,29 dengan TK 75% pada siklus I dan 79,25 dengan TK 100% pada siklus II. Dengan demikian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan pendekatan kontekstual meningkatkan kompetensi menulis karangan deskriptif  siswa kelas VIII SMP HMD tahun pelajaran 2011/2012.

Abstract

Penelitian ini berangkat dari tiga masalah, yakni (1) bagaimana kelengkapan bagaian-bagian surat dinas yang ditulis siswa SMK PAB 3 Medan Estate; (2) bagaimana ketepatan penulisan bagian-bagian surat dinas yang ditulis siswa SMK PAB 3 Medan Estate? (3) kesalahan apa saja yang terdapat dalam surat dinas yang ditulis siswa SMK PAB 3 Medan Estate? Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan kelengkapan bagian-bagian surat, mendeskripsikan ketepatan bagian-bagian surat, dan kesalahan-kesalahan yang terdapat dalam surat dinas yang ditulis siswa SMK PAB 3 Medan Estate. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif. Data dalam penelitian ini bersumber dari 30 naskah surat dinas dan 30 naskah tersebut dibaca secara intensif yang kemudian ditetapkan data berdasarkan pemahaman, pengetahuan, teori sebagai panduan. Kemudian, data dianalisis dengan cara pemaknaan terhadap kelengkapan dan ketepatan, serta pengungkapan kesalahan-kesalahan umum dalam naskah surat yang ditulis siswa. Setelah itu, dilakukan penarikan simpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (1) semua surat yang ditulis siswa sudah memiliki kop, nomor, alamat, isi, penutup, nama penadanda tangan, dan jabatan penanda tangan; sedikit surat yang tidak memiliki tanggal surat; masih ada surat yang tidak memiliki paragraf pembuka dan tanda tangan; (2) ketepatan penulisan bagian surat lebih rendah (37,78%) dibandingkan persentase ketidaktepatan (62,22%); (3) kesalahan penulisan surat terdapat pada hampir semua bagian, yakni kop, tanggal, lampiran, hal, alamat, salam pembuka, paragraf pembuka, paragraf isi, paragraf penutup, penutup, nama pengirim (penanda tangan), dan tembusan.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh media pembelajaran audiovisual terhadap kemampuan menulis dongeng oleh mahasiswa semester V program studi Pendidikan Bahasa Indonesia di FKIP UMSU untuk tahun akademik 2019-2020. Sampel dalam penelitian ini ditetapkan secara random sehingga terpilih kelas V A pagi sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas V B pagi sebagai kelas kontrol. Sampel berjumlah 46 mahasiswa yang terdiri atas 30 orang pada kelas eksperimen dan 16 orang pada kelas kontrol. Lokasi penelitian berada di program studi Pendidikan Bahasa Indonesia FKIP UMSU yang berada di jalan Mukhtar Basri No. 3 Medan. Hasil dalam penelitian ini adalah terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan dari media pembelajaran audiovisual terhadap kemampuan menulis dongeng oleh mahasiswa semester V program studi pendidikan Bahasa Indonesia FKIP UMSU tahun akademik  2019-2020. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode eksperimen, sementara instrumen yang dipakai adalah tes esai berupa menulis dongeng. Kata kunci: Media pembelajaran Audiovisual, nonaudiovisual, menulis dongeng

Abstract

This research aims to develop the teaching materials for Indonesian language poetry based on the Suchman’s model which have been tested for validity and feasibility to be used as a teaching material.  Additionally, it aims to test whether the use of developed teaching materials can increase the value of the college students’ learning outcomes in Indonesian poetry study.  This research is a developmental research which refers to four stages of development that consist of (1) defining, (2) designing, (3) developing, and (4) disseminating.  To see the increase in the college students’ learning outcomes, Normalized test (N-Gain) is used.  Derived from the test results, it is concluded that the teaching materials for Indonesian language poetry based on the developed Suchman’s model is valid and feasibly to use. The test results through N-Gain proved that 0.78% is in the good category and there is an increase in the college students learning outcomes with an average value of 81.4.

Abstract

Student Centered Learning-based learning model which was conducted online in the midst of the Covid 19 pandemic in Indonesian language learning at SMP Muhammdiyah 01 Medan, namely in class VII junior high school students. This study uses a 4D development model (define, design, develop, and disseminate). The subjects of this study were students of SMP Muhammadiyah 01 Medan class VII-A using a small class scale totaling 25 students. Obtaining data through documentation techniques, questionnaires, observation and tests. The data analysis technique used is descriptive quantitative data analysis. The feasibility of learning media refers to the results of media assessments by the developed learning media experts. The results of this study indicate that the powtoon learning media using a student centered learning-based learning model has met the appropriate and valid criteria for use in Indonesian online learning in the midst of the Covid 19 pandemic where in this case learning activities, teacher and student interactions get a percentage of student learning completeness. The test given was 85%. Based on the results of the analysis of student learning outcomes tests, it can be concluded that student learning outcomes tests developed using Powtoon media with a student centered learning based learning model obtained complete criteria.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the application of audiovisual learning media to the ability to write fairy tales by fifth semester students of the Indonesian Language Education study program at FKIP UMSU for the 2019-2020 academic year. The sample in this study was set randomly so that the chosen class V A morning as the experimental class and class V B morning as the control class. The sample consisted of 46 students consisting of 30 people in the experimental class and 16 people in the control class. The research location is in the Indonesian Language Education Study Program FKIP UMSU on Jalan Mukhtar Basri No. 3 Medan. The results in this study are that there is a significant influence of audiovisual learning media on the ability to write fairy tales by fifth semester students of the Indonesian Language Study Program FKIP UMSU in the academic year 2019-2020. The method used in this study is an experimental method, while the instrument used is an essay test in the form of writing a fairy tale.

Abstract

This research aims to develop the teaching material products in the form of children's literature text books based on the wisdom of local area. This research method uses a Research and Development (R&D) using the ADDIE development model to develop the teaching materials for the children's literature based on wisdom of local area (North Sumatra) which consists of the analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation stages. The sample in this study was the fifth grade students of SD (primary school) of Swasta Muhammadiyah 12 Medan in Medan.  The results proved that the students’ learning outcomes in children's literature increased after using teaching materials based on local area wisdom (North Sumatra).  The average score of the students before using teaching materials was 68, meanwhile the average value of the students after using teaching materials was 82. The test scores for the children's literature appreciation learning outcomes obtained an average score of 79.2.  The results of the calculation through the t test by using SPSS test showed a significant result before and after using the teaching materials.  It can be concluded that the teaching materials for the children's literature based on local area wisdom (North Sumatra) are appropriate for the students to use.

Abstract

Moral education exists at every level of education. In elementary school, moral education has never been separated from the noble values that exist in the Indonesian nation's moral order which are clearly exposed in Pancasila. Moral education has a very noble aim, namely to form children as individuals who are religious, have a sense of humanity, uphold the values of deliberation for democracy and justice. Moral education in schools needs to be carried out seriously to build a quality generation of the nation. Although the role of educating school children's morals is their parents, teachers at school also play a major role in realizing the morals that children should have. Education as an effort to change children's behavior to be better, especially in educating morals from early childhood to elementary school age children. The purpose of writing this article is to describe the application of moral values education at SDN 106217 Lr.Amaliun Tanjung Beringin. The method used is a qualitative research method. So that the result is good moral values, noble character, courtesy.

Abstract

The objective of this research was to find out whether goat blood serum and fertilizer combination can improve the growth of oil palm seedlings in pre nursery. This research was conducted at Plantation for education and observation, Stiper Agricultural Institute which located in Yogyakarta. This research was conducted from January until April 2017, using two factorial experiments arranged in completely random design (CRD). The first factor was the concentration of goat blood serum, concentration of 10%, 20%, and 30%. The second factor was combination of fertilizer, combination of NPK and Urea 1 gram / liter, 2 gram / liter, and 3 gram / liter. The result of analysis of variance showed that the concentration of goat blood serum had only significant effect on root dry weight and root volume, and the best concentration was 20%. However, no significant affected on the other parameters. The interaction of NPK and Urea fertilizers has no significant effect on the growth of oil palm seedlings
