Abstract

Indonesia is the pioneer of the Production Sharing Contract (PSC),the irst contract was signed in 1960. It is the standard of comparison for all PSCs (Johnston, 1994). According to the Executive Agency for Upstream Oil and Gas Business Activities in Indonesia (SKK Migas,2014), PSC is a Petroleum Exploration and Production Agreement between the Authority Body and the Oil Contractor (OC). This study focuses on the oil industry, covering a PSC oil ield which has been operating in Indonesia since 1998. The primary data of 2016 is used.The purpose of this study is to measure the yearly net cash lows received by the Government of Indonesia (GOI) and the OC during exploitation period, and to examine the attractiveness of the terms and conditions ofthe PSC. The basic features ofPSCs are: irst tranche petroleum (FTP), cost recovery (CR), proit oil (PO), domestic market obligation (DMO), and taxes. The inancial issue of PSC is how costs are recovered and proits divided. The inding shows that from 100%Gross Revenue (GR) ofthe oil ield in 2016; 35.43% ofit is allocated to the GOI, and only 2.28% to the OC. Meanwhile, the CR for the year is 62.29% of the GR. Therefore, it is needed to manage the CR eficiently and effectively of both parties. It is recommended to limit the CR. Moreover, with the oil price that tends to decrease. The study will be beneicial for GOI and potential OCs to carry out a fair negotiation. This study will also facilitate the students and academicians to assess the correlation of variables of the PSC Fiscal Systems to be used in the decision-making process.

Abstract

With the growing world ofbusiness, the competition between similar companies getting tighter. To maintain the viability of a company required a good management of resources conducted by the management. Account Receivable turnover and working capital are very important for a company because it is the elements in measuring the proitability of the company. The purpose of this research is to know: (1) the effect of account receivable turnover to company proitability, (2) the effect ofworking capital turnover to the company, (3) the effect of account receivable turnover and working capital turnover to company proitability. The research method used is quantitative analysis, correlation coeficient test, the coeficient of determination test and hypothesis test. The data used in this study is secondary data sourced from inancial statement PT. Merck Tbk period 2009-2013 obtained directly from the respondent. The results based on multiple linear regression tests showed that simultaneously turnover of account receivable and working capital turnover did notsigniicantly affect company proitability (5.603 < 9.55). Partially, the account receivable turnover does not signiicantly affect the proitability of the company (2.298 < 3.182) and the working capital turnover does not signiicantly affect the proitability of the company (3.003 < 3.182). So, it can be said the hypothesis in this study was rejected.

Abstract

The assessment of inancial performance is becoming increasingly important. The Regulation of the Central Bank of IndonesiaNo.13/24/DPNP/2011 provides the mandatory of measuring Health Level Assessment System of Commercial Banks in Indonesia. Thepurpose ofthis study is to measure inancial performances ofPT. Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero), Tbk (BRI) for the period 2011 to 2015,and to determine the strongest correlation among inancial ratios in the component ofCAMEL. The method used is a CAMEL model, whichis divine to Capital (C), Assets Quality (A), Management (M), Earnings (E) and Liquidity (L), and also a statistical method, namely coeficientcorrelation calculation. The aspects of one another are interrelated and inseparable. The data is collected from the Audited FinancialReports of BRI for the periods of 2011-2015. The result of the study shows that over the last ive years, the inancial performance achievedby BRI was a healthy predicate respectively. All of the financial ratio performances have complied and achieved above the standards oftheCentral Bank of Indonesia. And based on coeficient correlation calculation among inancial ratios in the CAMEL components, itreveals that between Return on Asset (ROA) and Operating Expense to Operating Income (BOPO) has a strong negative correlation. Theive-year trend shows that if the BOPO decrease followed by the increase ofROA, and vice versa.

Abstract

A bank has an important role in every country including Indonesia. The bank is aimed at maintaining economic growth and national financial stability. This study is to measure and analyze the financial performance between Bank Negara Indonesia (BNI), Bank Rakyat Indonesia (BRI), Bank Mandiri, and Bank Central Asia (BCA) against the national performance condition from under Bank Indonesia’s regulation No. 1 3 /1 /PBI/2 01 1 about Banks Financial Health Assessment. The data were collected from the annual report each company for the period 2012 – 2016. Furthermore, this study measure and analyze their level of financial health performance with Risk-based Bank Rating (RBBR) approach. RBBR examines NonPerforming Loan Ratio (NPL), Loan to Deposit Ratio (LDR), Current Account and Saving Account Ratio (CASA), Return on Asset (ROA), and Capital Adequacy Ratio (CAR). The result shows that those banks have a good financial performance which can be categorized into an ideal and very healthy condition. The finding results will be useful for students to deepen understanding about financial ratio and for bankers to analyze and make a strategy to improve the performance.

Abstract

As we know that the oil and gas industry is a huge industry and a big contributor to government revenue. However, a signiicant decline in government revenues from this sector is in 2014 by 14.11% to 4.46% in 2015, and in 2016 the value is not too far from the previous year that is 4.58%. This is due to the decline in world oil prices and also the decline in production of Indonesian private oil and gas companies. The purpose of this study is to analyze the financial performance of Indonesia’s private oil and gas company before and after declining the national oil and gas production. The data were collected from financial report of PT. Medco Internasional, Tbk and divided into two periods. The period before the decline in production from 2011 to 2013, and after the decline in production from 2014 to 2016. Financial ratio analysis (FRA) and paired sample t-test were used to analyze the data. The results show that Indonesia’s private oil and gas company is still in good performance even in one year suffered considerable losses. The value of cash ratio, inventory turnover, and collection period signiicantly different before and after the decline in oil and gas production. The authors believe that findings will be helpful for managers who continuously attempt to explore opportunities to provide a higher return.

Abstract

The study aims to analyze and compare the banking health assessment of commercial banks in Indonesia using RGEC methods. RGEC methods are included Risk Proile, Good Corporate Governance, Earnings, and Capital (RGEC). This study used descriptive with quantitative approach. The variables in this study includes Risk Proile using ratio of Non-Performing Loans (NPL) and Loan to Deposit Ratio (LDR), Good Corporate Governance (GCG) using Composite Rating GCG, Earnings using ratios of Return on Assets (ROA), Net Interest Margin (NIM), and Capital using Capital Adequacy Ratio (CAR). The data were collected from audited inancial report of two commercial banks in Indonesia which are PTBank UOB Indonesia and PTBank KEB Hana Indonesia for the period 2013 to 2017. The result showed that the inancial health level of PT Bank UOB Indonesia and PT Bank KEB Hana Indonesia was quite healthy. It indicates that the ability of the corporate's performance results had achieved very well.

Abstract

This research is aims to examine, analyze, and find the empirical evidence of the influence of firm characteristic proxied by firm age, firm size, sales growth, liquidity, and leverage on profitability proxied by return on sales in PT Indofood CBP, Sukses Makmur Tbk, and PT Mayora Indah Tbk. The study using employed multiple regression as tool for the analysis. The results of this study show that firm age, liquidity, and leverage have significant effect on profitability. However, the firm size and sales growth has no effect on profitability.

Abstract

Indonesia has experienced economic crisis in 1997/1998 and 2008, these events motivate the government to have a strong assessment to evaluate the financial health of the company. Related to the banks industry, government of Indonesia through Financial Service Authority or Otoritas Jasa Keuangan (OJK) issued the Circular Letter of OJK No. 14/SEOJK.03/2017 about Risk-Based Bank Rating (RBBR) approach that include the evaluation of risk profile, good corporate governance, earnings, and capital. The purpose of this study is to assess the financial health of the two open recorded non-expressed claimed BUKU III banks in Indonesia, which are Bank PT. Pan Indonesia Bank, Tbk (Panin) and PT. Bank Mega, Tbk (Mega) from year of 2014 to 2018. The methodology used is RBBR approach concerning the Rating of Health of Commercial Banks. The data were collected from the yearly report of the banks, fiscal reports, diaries, and articles of PT. Bank Mega and PT. Bank Panin. During the five year trend, the result of this study reveals that the two banks have performed well. However, Bank Mega has performed better in terms of Loan to Deposit Ratio (LDR) compared to Bank Panin. This study has added the knowledge in the financial literature. It also brings benefit for managers to help them make a better decision to address their company’s problem.

Abstract

ABSTRAK Saat ini Indonesia masih sangat minim wirausahawan. Secara persentase, jumlah wirausaha di Indonesia baru sekitar 3%. Angka tersebut masih jauh jika dibandingkan dengan negara tetangga di ASEAN seperti Malaysia, Singapura, dan Thailand yang sudah di atas 4%. Kurangnya minat berwirausaha ini menjadi penyebab menambahnya tingkat pengangguran. Wadah untuk pengenalan wirausaha dan peningkatan kreatifitas pada anak-anak terlantar masih sangat sulit ditemukan di Indonesia. Panti asuhan merupakan salah satu tempat perkumpulan anak terlantar yang dapat digunakan untuk pengenalan akan wirausaha. Namun hal ini sering terlupakan karena keterbatasan dana dan keterbatasan tenaga pengasuh. Oleh karena itu, tujuan dari kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini adalah untuk pengenalan terhadap pendidikan wirausaha untuk anak panti asuhan yang dimulai dari pembelajaran seni keterampilan yang unik seperti Makrame dan pengenalan terhadap cara berjualan tanpa atau rendah biaya melalui online. Seni Makrame adalah suatu kerajinan simpul-menyimpul dengan menggarap rangkaian benang/tali sehingga terbentuk aneka rumbai dan jumbai yang dapat dibuat menjadi ikat pinggang, penghias gerabah atau keramik, tas, hiasan dinding, keranjang untuk menggantung tanaman, dan sebagainya. Metode yang digunakan pertama memperkenalkan produk-produk kerajinan Makrame beserta manfaatnya, belajar membuat produk Makrame dengan mengajarkan cara membuat simpul-simpul, cara menjual produk secara langsung juga cara memasarkan secara online. Setelah kegiatan terlihat kemampuan anak anak panti asuhan dalam membuat produk produk Makrame. Disarankan agar perlu dilakukan pelatihan seni Makrame untuk produk lainnya yang lebih intensif secara berkala untuk meningkatkan skill mereka juga potensi kerjasama yang bisa dibangun misalnya anak-anak panti membentuk komunitas untuk menjual barang secara bersama. ABSTRACT Currently Indonesia still lacks of entrepreneurs. By percentage, the total entrepreneurship in Indonesia is around 3%. This is far below compared to our neighbors in Asean like Malaysia, Singapore and Thailand which is above 4%. The lack of interest of the entrepreneurship increases the jobless. In Indonesia, it is difficult to find a place / a facility for misfortune kids to learn about entrepreneurship or to develop the creativity. The orphanage will be one of the place for those kids to get the acknowledgment. But due to the limited funds and trainers, none is available. Therefore, the purpose of this community involvement activity was to introduce the entrepreneurship to the orphans by teaching them to learn to know about Makrame, the art of knotting cord or string in patterns to make decorative articles such as belt, ceramic articles, bags, wall decoration, plant hanger, etc. The methods which were used to introduce Makrame products with their usefulness, learning how to make knots, how to do direct selling of the product as well via online marketing. After the completion of the activity, the participants’ ability making Makrame products has increased. It is suggested to continue giving the learning activity for various Makrame products, hence it will increase the participants’ skills. As well the potential opportunity to build the network for marketing and selling the products.

Abstract

Abstrak Pulau Kelapa Dua merupakan pulau pemukiman terkecil di wilayah Kepulauan Seribu. Agak sedikit berbeda dengan pulau-pulau pemukiman lainnya, di pulau ini masih dapat kita jumpai rumah-rumah panggung khas masyarakat pesisir yang terbuat dari kayu. Penduduk Pulau Kelapa Dua ini berasal dari Bugis yang merupakan pelaut ulung sehingga sejak lebih dari 30 tahun yang lalu bermukim di Pulau Kelapa Dua hingga saat ini. Hampir 98 % warga Pulau Kelapa Dua merupakan nelayan ikan dan cumi-cumi terutama para Bapak-Bapak, sedangkan Ibu-Ibunya berprofesi sebagai Ibu Rumah Tangga yang merangkap sebagai Anggota Kelompok Usaha Bersama / KUBE. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini mengetengahkan Analisa SWOT serta memberikan pelatihan pelayanan prima untuk pemandu wisata berbasis eko wisata. Kegiatan ini dapat memberikan manfaat yang berkelanjutan kepada masyarakat Pulau Kelapa Dua, terutama dalam meningkatkan kegiatan Eco-pariwisata yang ada di Pulau Kelapa Dua. Abstract Kelapa Dua island is a small island in the thousand island archipelago. Typical houses of Kelapa Dua are traditional Bugis stilt wooden house. The community who lives in Kelapa Dua island are originally from South Sulawesi. More than 30 years ago the brave fishermen from Bugis sailed across the ocean from South Sulawesi and some of them settled in the thousand islands area. Almost 98% of them are fisherman, and the housewife are members of Work Collaboration Cooperative. This paper presents the SWOT analysis of Kelapa Dua island and report the capacity development program conducted to the Kelapa Dua tourist guide. This program improves service excellence and is targeted to ensure sustainability in implementing Eco-tourism in Kelapa Dua Island.
