Abstract

Kemampuan komunikasi matematika sangatlah penting.

Abstract

The study of mathematics is still being dominated by teachers and several students who considered mathematic as an involute subject. The deficiency of variation in a particular subject may affect the student’s learning result in mathematics. The objective of this research is to examine the differentiation of learning outcome of mathematic study between students applying Guided Note Taking method and Expository method as well as determining the most effective one between students using Guided Note Taking method and Expository method towards in the 8th Grade Students of Muhammadiyah Karangkajen Islamic Junior High School, Yogyakarta. Population objected in this research are students Grade 8th ranging from the class of 8th A, 8th B, 8th C, 8th D, 8th E, Even Semester, Muhammadiyah Karangkajen Islamic Junior High School (MTs), Academic Term 2015/2016, with an exact total of 161 students. The sample in this research is students from the class of 8th A as an experimental class with an exact total of 31 students and students from the class of 8th C as controlling class with a total of 33 students selected by class appointment. The data collection techniques applied in this research are normality tests conducting a formula of Chi-Quadrate, homogeneity test with a formula–f  and hypothesis test with a formula of -t-test.  The result of a hypothesis test with a significant level 5% and latitude degree 62 pointed out that: (1) There is a difference in mathematics study which implemented the Guided Note Taking method and Expository method. This matter is explained at  = 3,4171 = 1,9996, therefore,  > and (2) Study by implementing Guided Note Taking method is more effective compared to the Expository method. Abstract

This research aims to determine the effectiveness of student mathematics learning outcomes in learning using the Think Pair Share (TPS) method. This research population is all VII grade students of State Islamic Junior High School (MTs Negeri) 1 Yogyakarta in the odd semester of 2019/2020 academic year, consisting of 3 study groups totaling 80 students. Samples were taken from two classes using random sampling techniques. They obtained grade VII C as an experimental class and class VII B as a control class. The instrument used in this study was a test. While the data analysis technique for the prerequisite test uses the normality test with the Chi-Squared formula, the homogeneity test with the Barlet test formula, the hypothesis test uses the t-test. The study results at a significant level of 5% degrees of freedom = 52 indicate that testing of the hypothesis test I results in learning using the TPS learning method effectively against student learning outcomes.  which is 4.223199279>1.674, then H0 is rejected.

Abstract

Mathematics learning in the seventh grade of SMP Negeri 3 Wates Kulon Progo regency for the academic year 2017/2018 made the students bored and less enthusiastic. The cooperation between students is not optimal. This study aims to determine whether or not there is a significant influence (1) the factors of cooperative learning model on the students 'mathematics learning outcomes, (2) factors of student learning between students' learning achievement, (3) the interaction between cooperative learning model and student-to-student cooperation learning mathematics students. (4) between ST-class and PBL-class learning of mathematics learning outcomes, (5) between ST and PBL type cooperative learning models of mathematics learning outcomes. This study population was all seventh-grade students of State Junior High School (SMP Negeri) 3 Wates Kulon Progo of the academic year 2017/2018, which consisted of four classes, namely class VII-A, VII-B, VII-C, VII-D and amounting to 138 students. The sample consists of two classes taken at random. Data analysis techniques used include prerequisite tests and hypothesis tests. The results of the study at a significant level of 5% with df = 1 showed no significant influence (1) factor model of cooperative learning on mathematics learning results, obtained Fobs (A) = 0,262 <F0,05; 1,65 = 3,989 (2) factors of student's co-work on mathematics learning result, obtained Fobs (B) = 0,270 <F0,05; 1,65 = 3,989 (3) the interaction between cooperative learning model and student's co-work on mathematics learning result, obtained by Fobs (AB) = 0,043 <F0,05; 1,65 = 3,989. (4) ST-type cooperative learning model has no more significant effect than PB-class student intercourse, it is obtained tcount = -12,574 <t0,05,67 = 1,996, with df = 67. (5) ST type cooperative learning model no more significant than the cooperative learning model of PBL type, obtained tcount = -0.828 <t0,05; 8 = 2.306, with df = 8.

Abstract

The mathematic concept can be presented in a game snake and ladder to make it more interesting, more interactive. It can increase the students' quality of study, yet learning media used in school is minimal. Minimal research aims to develop mathematic learning media with snake and ladder game on the circle main discussion central circle in the third grade of junior high school that is proper for the mathematic learning process. This research is counted as research and development using the ADDIE model consisting of five phases: analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The research subjects The specialist subjects media specialist, students of Junior High School (SMP) Muhammadiyah 1 Minggir Sleman Regency, and State Junior High School (SMP Negeri) 3 Gamping Sleman Regency. Data analysis technique The qualitative data analysis is changed to be quantitative values using a Likert scale. Data collection technique The data this research used observation, interview, and questionnaire.  The product of learning media developed is in the form of a compact disk (CD) that has gone through scoring and validating by three mathematic learning subject experts and three experts of mathematic learning media. The result from the subject experts is in the category of very good. The result from the media experts is in the very good category, and the result of students' responses is in a suitable category. Based on the results, it can be concluded that the learning media that is developed is proper to be used in the mathematic leering process.
