Abstract

The objectives of this study were (1) to identify the types of mangrove species in swamp rivers; (2) Identifying the type of business or livelihoods of the community in the mangrove ecosystem; (3) Knowing the perceptions and participation of mangrove farming communities in utilizing mangrove plants as abrasion control and as alternative food. The method used in this research is a survey method. Division of research stations based on human activity. The results of this study found 11 types of sapling strata from 9 families. Which consists of trees, seedlings, and saplings. The benefits of mangrove plants really help the community and can be processed into a substitute for daily staple food. Mangrove plants are also useful as an abrasion control. The mangrove swamp river community who use mangrove plants as foodstuff is around 5%. So broadly speaking, mangroves have several relationships in human needs as a provider of food, shelter and health.Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah (1) Mengidentifikasi jenis-jenis spesies Mangrove di sungai rawa; (2) Mengidentifikasi jenis usaha atau mata pencaharian masyarakat pada ekosistem mangrove; (3) Mengetahui persepsi dan partisipasi masyarakat petani mangrove dalam memanfaat tumbuhan mangrove sebagai pengendali abrasi dan sebagai pangan alternatif. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian adalah metode survei. Pembagian stasiun penelitian berdasarkan aktivitas manusia. Hasil penelitian ini ditemukan 11 jenis strata sapling dari 9 suku. Yang terdiri dari pohon, semai, dan anakan. Manfaaat dari tanaman mangrove sangat membantu masyarakat, dan dapat di olah menjadi pengganti makanan pokok sehari-hari. Namanam mangrove juga bermanfaat sebagai pengendali abrasi. Masyarakat sungai rawa mangrove yang memanfaatkan tumbuhan mangrove sebagai bahan pangan sekitar 5%. Maka secara garis besar, mangrove mempunyai beberapa keterkaitan dalam kebutuhan manusia sebagai penyedia bahan pangan, papan, dan kesehatan.Kata kunci: keragaman mangrove, masyarakat Pesisir, pengendali abrasi

Abstract

Model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe STAD adalah model pembelajaran yang memotivasi siswa untuk bekerjasama dalam kelompok proses belajar mengajar. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode eksperimen. Populasi penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas X TAV SMK Negeri 1 Sumbar Tahun Ajaran 2013/2014. Teknik pengambilan sampel adalah purposive. Tes terdiri dari 27 item yang telah diuji validitas dan reliabilitasnya, pengujian hipotesis menggunakan t-test Polled Variance. Dari hasil penelitian, skor rata-rata hasil belajar siswa menggunakan model Cooperative Learning tipe STAD adalah 81,17 sedangkan skor rata-rata hasil belajar siswa menggunakan metode pembelajaran langsung adalah 74,85. Secara keseluruhan kelas eksperimen signifikan daripada kelas kontrol dengan persentase pengaruh 8,44% sehingga ada pengaruh penerapan model pembelajaran Kooperatif tipe STAD pada siswa kelas X teknik audio-video di SMK Negeri 1 Sumbar.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan hasil belajar keterampilan kognitif siswa melalui penerapa strategi everyone is a teacher here (ETH) pada pembelajaran fisika. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VIII MTs 1 Bangkinang Barat yang berjumlah 28 orang. Instrumen pengumpulan data penelitian ini adalah soal tes hasil belajar keterampilan kognitif. Pengumpulan data pada penelitian ini dilakukan pada akhir proses pembelajaran dengan mengadakan tes keterampilan kognitif. Data dianalisis menggunakan teknik analisa deskriptif yang meliputi daya serap, efektifitas pembelajaran, ketuntasan belajar siswa dan ketuntasan tujuan pembelajaran. Hasil analisa data menunjukkan: daya serap rata-rata siswa adalah 76.01% dengan kategori baik, ketuntasan belajar siswa secara klasikal adalah 77.78% dengan kategori tidak tuntas, ketuntasan tujuan pembelajaran secara klasikal adalah 66.7% dengan kategori tidak tuntas, dan efektifitas pembelajaran 76.01% dengan kategori cukup efektif. Dengan demikian, penerapan strategi everyone is a teacher here (ETH) cukup efektif digunakan untuk pembelajaran fisika.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the increase in scientific attitudes and cognitive learning outcomes of students in plant ecology courses through the application of problem-based learning models. This research was conducted on 4D grade students of the Biology Education Study Program, FKIP Riau Islamic University. This research is a classroom action research conducted in two cycles, each cycle consisting of four stages, namely planning, implementing, observing, and reflecting. Data were collected through observation sheets and cognitive learning outcomes tests. The results of data analysis in the first and second cycles showed an increase in students' scientific attitudes by 12.03% and an increase in student absorption from the first cycle to the second cycle by 5.5% and classical completeness increased by 20% from the first cycle to the second cycle. In general, it can be concluded that the application of problem-based learning models can improve scientific attitudes and cognitive learning outcomes of 4D grade students of the Biology Education Study Program, FKIP Riau Islamic University in plant ecology courses.Keywords: cognitive learning outcomes, scientific attitude, problem based learning modelABSTRAK.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peningkatan sikap ilmiah dan hasil belajar kognitif mahasiswa pada mata kuliah ekologi tumbuhan melalui penerapan model pembelajaran problem based learning. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada mahasiswa kelas 4D Program Studi Pendidikan Biologi FKIP Universitas Islam Riau. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas yang dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus, setiap siklus terdiri dari empat tahap yaitu perencanaan, pelaksanaan, observasi, dan refleksi. Data dikumpulkan melalui lembar observasi dan tes hasil belajar kognitif. Hasil analisis data siklus pertama dan kedua menunjukkan adanya peningkatan sikap ilmiah mahasiswa sebesar 12,03% dan daya serap mahasiswa mengalami peningkatan dari siklus pertama ke siklus kedua sebesar 5,5% serta ketuntasan klasikal meningkat sebesar 20% dari siklus pertama ke siklus kedua. Secara umum dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan model pembelajaran problem based learning dapat meningkatkan sikap ilmiah dan hasil belajar kognitif mahasiswa kelas 4D Program Studi Pendidikan Biologi FKIP Universitas Islam Riau pada mata kuliah ekologi tumbuhan. Kata kunci: Hasil belajar kognitif, sikap ilmiah, model pembelajaran berbasis masalah

Abstract

Learning behavior at the higher education level has been disrupted more quickly since the outbreak of the Covid-19. The Student Centered Learning method which has become a culture in higher education cannot be implemented properly. The purpose of this study was to analyze the effectiveness of online learning by applying the ubiquitous learning method. The effectiveness in this study is to analyze the implementation of learning and the achievement of vocational competencies that can be achieved by students. The research was conducted using a quasi-experimental method. The sample in this study were students of the Informatics Education Strata 1 study program, Muhammadiyah University of Riau which consisted of 30 students in the control class and 30 students in the experimental class. The instruments used are learning outcomes tests, learning observations and questionnaires. The results obtained from the research, namely the ubiquitous learning method can be used in online learning at the Muhammadiyah University of Riau and in accordance with the learning information system that has been developed. The results of the ubiquitous learning effectiveness test in terms of the statistical test of the average comparison of the posttest results of the experimental and control classes were carried out, it was obtained that tcount = 3.425 ttable = 1.295 at a significance degree of 0.05. As a form of e-Learning learning method, U-Learning is able to help students to study and attend lectures in areas with low internet network infrastructure during the Covid-19 pandemic.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to find out how the perceptions of Accounting and Science education students at Muhammadiyah Riau University towards Education for Sustainable Development (ESD).The research method used is a quantitative method and is based on a survey. Data collection was carried out by distributing questionnaires and interviews with 70 people. The questionnaire was developed by including part of the idea of education for sustainable development into each item, which was assessed on a five-point Likert scale. The sampling method uses stratified random sampling and the Slovin formula to determine the number of samples. Students' perceptions of socio-cultural aspects scored 85.07% (very good), environmental aspects scored 81.71% (very good), and economic aspects scored 82.62% (very good).The results of the study found that Accounting and Science Education students at Muhammadiyah University of Riau on Education for Sustainable Development/ESD got a score of 83.13%. This can be seen in the behavior of students who have started to bring their own drinking bottles, some students have also started using eco-friendly straws, carrying out environmental activities such as planting trees, student participation in campus decision making, and so on. This activity helps the implementation of Ecocampus which enables institutions to contribute to meeting sustainable development goals at the same time.

Abstract

This study aimed to see how students' critical thinking skills were applied after the Project-Based Learning model was applied. This research is experimental research with Two-Group Pretest-Posttest Design. The population of this research was of 216 students. The sampling technique used was a simple random sampling technique, 36 students for the experimental class and 36 for the control class. The instrument used is a test. The hypothesis testing using a t-test found that the tcount was higher than ttable (2,3991,688). From the results of the analysis, it was found that there were significant differences in students' critical thinking skills with the Project-Based Learning model compared to the conventional model.ABSTRAK: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat bagaimana kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa diterapkan setelah model Pembelajaran Berbasis Proyek diterapkan. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimen dengan Two-Group Pretest-Posttest Design. Populasi penelitian ini sebanyak 216 siswa. Teknik pengambilan sampel yang digunakan adalah teknik simple random sampling, 36 siswa untuk kelas eksperimen dan 36 siswa untuk kelas kontrol. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah tes. Pengujian hipotesis dengan menggunakan uji-t diketahui bahwa thitung lebih besar dari ttabel (2,3991,688). Abstract

Stunting is a chronic malnutrition problem caused by insufficient nutritional intake for a long time due to feeding that is not in accordance with nutritional needs. The incidence of stunting in children under five can occur due to lack or low quality of protein containing essential amino acids. Based on data obtained from the Kampar district health office, it was found that there was a stunting prevalence of 32.99% (in 2020), in 2021 and a prevalence of 23.07%, and in 2022 there was an increase in prevalence of 25.7%. To support the kampar district government program to eradicate free stanting, catfish village MSMEs process catfish cultivation products into processed catfish crackers. In 100 grams of catfish contains protein 20.0%-46.6% (w/k), fat + 20.8 (w/k), minerals + 14.6% (w/k), water and + 6.81% (w/k). Each part of catfish has nutritional content that can be useful if consumed such as catfish head contains 50.94% protein, meat 17.7%, fish bones have a nutritional content rich in calcium which is 39.24%.Crackers are complementary foods that are favored by children because crackers are foods that have a crunchy and savory texture, besides that crackers can be vasriated such as color, shape and taste. This is what underlies the emergence of new innovations for stunting prevention made from catfish which is rich in protein

Abstract

Family medicinal plants or what are usually called TOGA are plants that can be cultivated in the home garden and have benefits as herbal medicines. Family medicinal plants can be an effort to prevent disease. The family medicinal plant used in this activity is ginger (Zingiber Officinale). Ginger is a plant from the Zingiberaceae tribe in the form of a rhizome which is very popular as a spice and medicinal ingredient. Because it is easy to find in traditional markets and is well known in the community. The activity was carried out in Pulau Rengas Village, Pangean District, Kuantan Singingi Regency, Riau. The aim of this activity is to provide education and encourage people to maintain and increase their immune system by consuming processed ginger products in the form of ginger pudding. Apart from that, it is hoped that the community can use their home gardens as a health aspect by planting family medicinal plants, namely ginger, in their yards. As a result, the people of Rengas Island Village can take advantage of the ginger planting and process it to make a product that is useful for increasing the body's immune system.

Abstract

Natural soap is one of the products that do not use chemicals that people need to clean the body and maintain healthy skin. Vitis vinifera and olive oil contain antioxidants and antimicrobials that are useful for brightening and moisturizing skin, increasing skin cell turnover, and making skin healthier. This research aims to obtain natural soap made from olive oil with the addition of grape extract (Vitis vinifera). The research method includes the process of making grape extract soap with varying framing times (3, 5, and 7 days), then the grape soap is stored for 4 weeks followed by analysis of pH levels, crack tests, and organoleptic tests including texture, color strength and foam. The final pH test results were in the range of 9.0-11.0 which were checked in the first seven days. This soap has texture ranges from 2.50 (slightly soft) to 3.84 (hard), soap color ranges from 3.15 (slightly interesting) to 4.00 (interesting), and foaming power ranges from 3.00 (slightly foamy) to 3.50 (foamy).
