Abstract

This study aims to determine the comparison of critical thinking skills of students whose learning uses problem based learning and discovery learning models by observing the learning styles of eleventh grade social students at MAN 2 Bandar Lampung. The study population was 140 students with a total sample of 70 students using cluster random sampling research techniques. This type of research used in this study is comparative to quasi-experimental. This analysis technique uses two independent sample t-test formulas and two-way analysis of variance. The results of data analysis show that Fcount Ftable or 4.060 3.98 which means that there are differences in students' critical thinking abilities whose learning uses problem based learning learning models compared to those using discovery learning models and Fcount Ftable or 106,677 3.98 which means there are interactions between learning models with student learning styles on students' critical thinking skills. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbandingan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa yang pembelajarannya menggunakan model problem based learning dan discovery learning dengan memperhatikan gaya belajar siswa kelas XI IPS MAN 2 Bandar Lampung. Populasi penelitian ini 140 siswa dengan jumlah sampel sebanyak 70 siswa dengan menggunakan teknik penelitian cluster random sampling. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah komparatif dengan eksperimen semu. Teknik analisis ini menggunakan rumus t-test dua sampel independen dan analisis varian dua jalan. Hasil analisis data menunjukkan Fhitung Ftabel atau 4,060 3,98 yang berarti terdapat perbedaan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa yang  pembelajarannya menggunakan model problem based learning dibandingkan dengan yang menggunakan model discovery learning dan Fhitung Ftabel atau 106,677 3,98 yang berarti terdapat interaksi antara model dengan gaya belajar siswa terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa. Kata kunci: berpikir kritis, discovery learning, gaya belajar, dan problem based learning

Abstract

The The presence of the Industrial Revolution 4.0 is a hope for every market player to exist and develop, because the progress of a business does not always depend on the level of capital owned but is determined by strategy, innovation and digitization. Data and facts prove that those who take the initiative for change and are careful in combining innovation and technology have emerged as the new rulers in the global industrial area. But on the other hand the Industrial Revolution 4.0 can also erode labor absorption and stop the existence of most of the colonial generation who are blind to technology. This research aims to provide the guidance for the society for preparing muamalat in the Industrial Revolution 4.0. The method of this research was descriptive qualitative which emphasized of the meaning, natural description, and plot. The result of this research indicate that industrial revolution can be overcome when people are able to position themselves and take existing the opportunities through the implementation of Ma’ad concept as taught in Islam. This research concludes that Ma’ad concept is the answer to faceing the industrial revolution without being rolled and rolled by technological developments.
