Abstract

The impact of covid-19 makes the teaching and learning process of students not direct. The learning process takes place online or PJJ. However, this shift in learning styles affects the learning outcomes obtained by most students. For this reason, the researcher wants to conduct a study to determine the increase in student learning outcomes on the subject of Chemical Bonds by using 3D visualization and animation based learning media in distance learning. The population of this study were students of class X at SMA Panca Budi which consisted of 6 classes. Each class consists of 32 to 35 students. The sample selection technique was purposive sampling. The selected sample is class X MIA-5 as an experimental class which is treated using 3D-based media and animation. While class X MIA-6 as a control class that uses conventional treatment, namely PJJ with lecture and question and answer methods. This study uses a test instrument and no test that has been tested and has been valid. Firstly, the data on student learning outcomes were tested for normality and homogeneity, where the results obtained by the two sample groups were homogeneous and normally distributed. Hypothesis testing is carried out using quasi experiment anova, namely the right side with the results of this study at a significance level of 5% (α = 0.04) indicating that F hit (F=54.021, P=0,000) then Ho is rejected. Thus, it shows that there is an effect of learning media based on 3D visualization and animation on PJJ on learning outcomes. Correlation test was conducted to determine the relationship between student activities and student learning outcomes. The results showed that Fhit  ( F=19,645, P=0,000) then HO  was rejected. Thus, there is a significant correlation between student activities with 3D-based learning media and animation with student learning outcomes of 45.4%.

Abstract

The development of science and technology in the digital era of Four Point Zero has a great impact on the world of education. One of them is by utilizing e-learning applications in the learning process. However, the technology used in this learning is too dependent on the internet network. Therefore, the research aims to develop a media in the form of an Android-based e-learning application that can be used online and offline. This study uses a research and development design using the ADDIE model. To create and test these products, in this case an Android-based e-learning application. Procedure This research was carried out through 6 stages, namely needs analysis, application design stage, development, data analysis, evaluation, and development of a final product that is ready to be used. From the results of the material validation test and the feasibility of the developed application media, it is very feasible to use.

Abstract

Used cooking oil is the final product of oil used for frying or cooking in the manufacturing, restaurant and household industries which is often not utilized. Most users will throw the used cooking oil waste into inappropriate places such as in the kitchen, sink or so on, the used cooking oil can harden and clog the sewer pipe. This can also result in the formation of a thin layer on the surface of the water which can reduce the concentration of dissolved oxygen needed by living things underwater. To reduce the impact of waste cooking oil that will occur in the water system, this study intends to develop magnetic charcoal from palm oil shells to process used cooking oil waste into a pretreatment for biodiesel production. Biodiesel is a promising alternative fuel as a substitute for fossil fuels that are decreasing. The purpose of this study was to utilize magnetic charcoal from palm oil shells to reduce free fatty acids from waste cooking oil as a pretreatment for biodiesel production. The method used is pyrolysis and coprecipitation with the formation of magnetic charcoal from oil palm shells with the precipitation process with FeCl3 (iron III chloride) and FeSO4 (iron II sulfate). then tested the characteristics of the magnetic charcoal that had been produced using Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy (FTIR) and Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM). Next is to test the absorption of free fatty acid reduction from used cooking oil using magnetic charcoal that has been produced by varying the time, concentration and dose of magnetic charcoal to get the maximum adsorption capacity. Then do adsorption 3 times to evaluate the efficiency of reduction of free fatty acids in used cooking oil as a pretreatment for biodiesel production

Abstract

Employee discipline is one indicator of an institution that has experienced an increase in good personal qualities. There are so many agencies that are developing and have a good image in the eyes of the public not because the products they produce are good but because of the discipline of employees or employees which causes service performance to their customers to increase. As is the case with the PSDKU Medan Creative Media State Polytechnic Campus, it can develop even better only by exercising discipline to its employees, both educational staff and teaching staff (lecturers). So far, employee discipline has only been monitored based on electric attendance provided by the university. But the problem is the existence of these employees in the institution. Very often some employees are not at the location during working hours so that it can reduce service to students or the community. Currently, on Android, there is GPS (Global Positioning System) technology that can provide location information where the user is during work hours. So by developing an Android application, it can access the location of application users which can prevent employees or employees from being in their proper place. This can solve the problems that occur at the PSDKU Medan Creative Media State Polytechnic.Kata kunci:  Monitoring System, Global Positioning System, Employee
