Abstract

The research aims to increase motivation and learning outcomes using the model of problem based learning. The research method used was action research. Research procedures performed in 2 cycles through the assessment process cycle, each cycle consisting of four stages, namely (1) planning, (2) implementation of the action, (3) observation, and (4) reflection. Data were obtained through observation and tests. The data analysis technique used is the qualitative and quantitative analysis. The results demonstrate the value students' motivation in the first cycle of 60,46 with sufficient qualifications, and the second cycle of 83,61 with excellent qualifications. While the average student learning outcomes with the first cycle of 66,98 percentage of completeness of 46,15%, and the average value of the second cycle increased to 80,67 with a percentage of 88,46% completeness. The results showed an increase in students' motivation and learning outcomes in each cycle.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan motivasi dan hasil belajar menggunakan model problem based learning. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian tindakan kelas. Prosedur penelitian dilaksanakan dalam 2 siklus melalui proses pengkajian berdaur, setiap siklus terdiri dari 4 tahap, yaitu (1) perencanaan, (2) pelaksanaan tindakan, (3) pengamatan, dan (4) refleksi. Data penelitian diperoleh melalui observasi dan tes. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan nilai motivasi belajar siswa pada siklus I sebesar 60,46 dengan kualifikasi cukup, dan siklus II sebesar 83,61 dengan kualifikasi sangat baik. Sementara rata-rata hasil belajar siswa siklus I sebesar 66,98 dengan persentase ketuntasan sebesar 46,15%, dan nilai rata-rata siklus II meningkat menjadi 80,67 dengan persentase ketuntasan sebesar 88,46%. Dengan demikian, hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan motivasi dan hasil belajar siswa pada setiap siklusnya.Kata kunci: hasil, IPS, motivasi, PBL.
