Abstract

Sapi asli indonesia dengan populasi terbesar dibandingkan sapi lokal lainnya yaitu sapi Bali. Pengembangan sapi Bali secara berkelanjutan dengan cara meningkatkan kualitas genetik melalui aspek reproduksi dalam pemilihan pejantan unggul. Bobot badan adalah salah satu kriteria dalam memilih pejantan unggul. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis hubungan bobot badan dengan kualitas semen. Materi yang digunakan yaitu data sekunder mulai tahun 2012-2018 dari 50 ekor pejantan sapi Bali meliputi data kualitas semen sebanyak (n=1204) ejakulasi di Balai Besar Inseminasi Buatan, Singosari, Jawa Timur, Indonesia. Metode penelitian adalah studi kasus. Variabel yang diamati yaitu bobot badan, volume semen, motilitas individu dan konsentrasi semen. Data dianalisa dengan menggunakan SPSS 24 dengan metode One-Way ANOVA. Uji korelasi menggunakan korelasi Pearson (r) dan analisis statistik model regresi linier untuk menduga kualitas semen berdasarkan bobot badan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa bobot badan sapi Bali mempengaruhi secara signifikan (p<0,05) terhadap kualitas semen. Semakin tinggi bobot badan maka nilai volume dan motilitas meningkat kecuali konsentrasi semen yang sangat fluktuatif. Bobot badan berkorelasi secara signifikan (p<0,05) dengan volume (r=0,317) dan motilitas individu (r=0,229), tetapi tidak signifikan (p>0,05) terhadap konsentrasi semen (r=0,046). Hasil penelitian secara keseluruhan menunjukkan sapi dengan bobot badan tinggi memiliki nilai kualitas semen yang lebih baik.

Abstract

The aim of the research was to determine the accuracy of the estimation of DEG body weight based on linear measurements (chest circumference/ CC, tail circumference/ TC, body length/ BL, and body height/ BH). The research is expected to produce a model of DEG body weight estimation based on linear measurements (CC, BL, BH and tail circumference/ TC). Material  used in this  research was male fat tailed sheep which has different age seen from the change of permanent teeth  PI0, PI1, PI2. The total number of animal used in this research was 60 with details of PI0 = 30, PI1 = 24 and PI2 = 6. Data were analysed by Linear and Multiple Regression Analysis between Body weight and BCS, Linear measurements (CC, BL, BH and TC), using Minitab software version 13. 1. All variables of linear measurements of the body have a strong relationship with body weight, the strongest relationship is body weight with chest circumference, and tail circumference. Estimation of body weight using multiple regression functions (BW = -18.7 + 0.408BH + 0.172BL + 0.274CC + 0.178TC) has an accuracy higher than the estimated body weight using the Schoorl formula.

Abstract

The Bali Cattle in Southeast Sulawesi its productivity is influenced by the seasonal environmental conditions. The objective of this study was to analyze the performance production of cows Bali Cattle and its calves that were born on different season (rainy season and dry season) as well as on different types of land. The research methods applied were survey and observation method. The variables being observed follows: body weight (BWT), daily body weight gain (PBBH), body condition score (BCS) and birth weight (BW). Data were analyzed by using the Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) of nested design. The result of the research indicated that the average of body weight, daily body weight gain, BCS and birth weight was higher during the rainy season compared to the dry season. The average of body weight, daily body weight gain, and BCS was higher on paddy field. On the contrary, the birth weight on dry area was higher than it was on wetlands. The average of male cattle birth weight was higher than the average of female cattle. It could be concluded that the cow’s working performance production was affected by the feed consumption and environments (season and the type of land). On the other hand, calf birth weight was affected by sexes, in addition it was also related to cow’s feed intake on late pregnancy phase.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis hubungan bobot badan dengan kualitas semen. Materi yang digunakan yaitu data sekunder mulai tahun 2012 sampai 2018 dari 29 ekor pejantan sapi Limousin meliputi data kualitas semen sebanyak (n=27257) ejakulasi. Tempat penelitian dilakukan di Balai Besar Inseminasi Buatan, Singosari, Jawa Timur. Metode penelitian adalah studi kasus. Variabel yang diamati yaitu bobot badan, volume semen, mortilitas individu dan konsentrasi semen. Data dianalisa dengan menggunakan SPSS 21 dengan metode One-Way ANOVA. Uji korelasi menggunakan korelasi Pearson (r) dan analisis statistik model regresi linier untuk menduga kualitas semen berdasarkan bobot badan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa bobot badan sapi Limousin berbeda nyata (p<0,05) terhadap kualitas semen. Semakin tinggi bobot badan maka nilai motilitas dan konsentrasi menurun sedangkan volume semen meningkat. Bobot badan berkorelasi nyata (p<0,05) dengan volume (r=0,054), motilitas individu (r=0,096) dan konsentrasi semen (r=0,244). Disimpulkan bahwa bobot badan berpengaruh nyata tehadap volume, motilitas individu dan konsentrasi semen. Bobot badan memberikan korelasi negatif terhadap motilitas dan konsentrasi semen, namun memberikan korelasi positif terhadap volume semen.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to compare the efficiency of reproductive performance Friesian Holstein (FH) in various lactation periods. The material used in this research is obtained from the records of reproductive performance Friesian Holstein (FH) cattle from Australia and has been developed in PT. Greenfield Indonesia farm. Datas were using 473 heads dairy cattle these were 100 heads for each lactation period I up to IV and 73 heads for lactation period V. The variable measured were efficiency of reproductive include service per conception (S/C); days open (DO) and calving interval (CI). The datas were analyzed using Completely Randomize Design one-way analyzes of variance (one way lay out) and if the result showed differences, the research will be continued using Least Significant Difference (LSD). The results showed that the higher lactation period of dairy cattle the greater the S/C, DO and CI (P<0.01). In lactation period I and II earned S/C value 2.6±1.3 and 2.1±1.1 were lower than lactation period III, IV and V which earned value 3.7±2.0; 4.2±2.1 and 4.1±2.3. DO in lactation I and II as118.3±49.7 days and 97.6±35.1 days were lower than lactation period III, IV, and V is 153.5±65.8 days;  168.2±81.5 days and 59.2±74.7 days. The lower CI was in period lactation II 365.8±36.9 days compared with lactation period III, IV  and V as 393.8±54.5 days; 406.1±78.3 days and 401.3±65.1 days. Conclusion of this research was lactation period has an effect on the performance of FH dairy reproduction, the higher of lactation period would increase S/C, DO and CI. Keywords : Calving Interval, Days Open, Friesian Holstein Cattle, Lactation Period, Service Per Conception.
