Abstract

Among the interpretation problems of the Al-Qur’an which has broadly attracted the attention of the interpreters of the Al-Qur'an are related to the meaning of justice for the testimony of two women and one male in the Koran. Many exegesis books written (from the classical to the modern period) gave their own understanding and views which strengthened the superiority of men over women because of their weak memories, easy to forget and so on. Some of our other interpretations are of the view that this problem is something that is taken for granted without being able to be questioned, and what is more demanding is submission because it is considered as a part of the issue of worship (ta’abbudiy). This article examines various understandings of the commentaries (classical and modern) which discuss the understanding of the testimony of two women as found in the Qur'an. These problems are increasingly important, especially regarding the interpretation of the Al-Qur’an's view on the issue of gender equality which is increasingly discussed in the current contemporary times.

Abstract

Bagi sebagian kalangan sarjana dan ilmuwan, hukuman rajam bagi penzina yang tidak disebutkan dalam Al-Qur’an dianggap sebagai justifikasi bagi pendapat mereka bahwasannya hukuman tersebut tidak memiliki dasar dan alasan hukum yang kuat untuk bisa diterapkan dalam masyarakat Muslim. Pada faktanya, kita dapat menemukan dasar implementasi hukuman rajam tersebut dengan menggali hadits Nabi Saw. di mana beliau pernah mempraktikkan dan menerapkan hukuman tersebut. Karenanya, artikel ini berupaya untuk menemukan kembali dan memperteguh pandangan mainstream di kalangan Ulama Muslim bahwasannya hukuman rajam berlaku bagi penzina yang telah menikah (muhshan). Dalam hukum fiqh Islam, hukuman rajam termasuk ke dalam bahasan hukuman hudud di mana sanksi dan muatan hukumnya menjadi priveles hak Allah sepenuhnya, ditetapkan baik dalam Al-Qur’an maupun Sunnah.

The majority of Muslim scholars reject the leadership with various reasons and proofs, both revelation (naqliy) and reason (‘aqliy). Abstract

Abstract

This article would like to discuss the work of the poetic Al-Qur’an translation in Acehnese, authored by Tgk. H. Mahjiddin Jusuf (1918-1994). This poetic translation firstly began in 1955 when the translator was in jail (due to the political reason), then it was temporarily stopped for some reasons, until it finally was completed in 1988, with the original translated text written using the Arabic Jawoe script (Malay). Regardless of its contoversy or even still be debated about the translation of the Al-Qur'an poetically, as shown through the work of translation of the Qur'an that had existed in Indonesia before, the work of Tgk. H. Mahjiddin Jusuf which written in Acehnese, has helped maintaining the depth of the Acehnese language. Through library studies, this article would like further elaborates on the variety and style of poetic translation of the Al-Qur'an in the Acehnese language, the translation model adopted and its contribution to the translation of the Al-Qur'an in the archipelago. This article concludes that although this translation uses tarjamah tafsīriyyah model with ijmālī pattern, such method is more appropriate, because it is easyly to understand especially for Acehnese readers, because it has adapted to the socio-cultural nature of Acehnese society.ABSTRAKArtikel ini mendiskusikan karya terjemahan Al-Qur’an bebas bersajak dalam bahasa Aceh yang ditulis oleh Tgk. H. Mahjiddin Jusuf (1918-1994). Terjemahan berbentuk sajak ini mulai digarap sejak tahun 1955 ketika penulisnya berada dalam tahanan (akibat politik), kemudian sempat terhenti beberapa lama pengerjaannya, hingga akhirnya berhasil dirampungkan secara lengkap pada tahun 1988, dengan naskah asli penerjemahan yang ditulis menggunakan aksara Arab Jawoe (Melayu) dalam bentuk bait bersajak. Sekalipun penerjemahan Al-Qur’an secara puitis atau bersajak tidak lepas dari silang pendapat dan kontroversi sebagaimana karya terjemahan Al-Qur’an puitis yang pernah ada di Indonesia sebelumnya, namun karya Tgk. H. Mahjiddin Jusuf yang ditulis dalam bahasa Aceh ini telah membantu merawat kedalaman bahasa Aceh. Melalui penelusuran studi kepustakaan, artikel ini mengelaborasi lebih jauh ragam dan langgam penerjemahan Al-Qur’an bersajak dalam bahasa Aceh, model penerjemahan yang ditempuh serta kontribusinya dalam penerjemahan Al-Qur’an di nusantara. Artikel ini berkesimpulan bahwa sekalipun penerjemahan ini memakai pola tarjamah tafsīriyyah secara ijmālī, metode demikian dirasa lebih tepat, karena mudah memahamkannya kepada pembaca berbahasa Aceh, sebab sedikit banyak mengalami penyesuaian dengan sosio-kultural masyarakat Aceh.

Abstract

This article would like to discuss about the meaning of equality on the verse of Al-Qur‟an (Al-Baqarah: 282): “one man two women” in terms of testimony. However, various interpretations have broadly attracted the attention of many interpreters of the Al-Qur'an dealing with the meaning of justice and equality between man and woman. By using Maqashid Shariah as the tool of analysis, this article would like to elaborate more on finding the purposes of sharia by stating that one man equal two women regarding testimony. The main problem is what the verse should be interpreted looks like: whether literally or trying to find the depth meaning by searching the purposes of sharia behind the meaning of justice and equality in terms of testimony of man and woman. Besides, finding the purposes of sharia's view on the issue of gender equality which is increasingly debated in the current contemporary times becomes more important in order to get its comprehensive view on such matter.

Abstract

As an important part within the field studies of the Al-Qur'an (‘ulūmul Qur’ān), the theory of annulment (naskh) has been broadly discussed and criticized, either by Ushuliy or Mufassirin, since classical period on possibility of naskh occurrence within Al-Qur’an as well as its types and model as the example. Turning from this point, this article would like to talk about ideas on annulement (naskh) in which is broadly criticized by many contemporary Moslem scholars, i.e. a well known Muslim contemporary scholar from Egypt, Jasser Auda (1966 - now), trough maqashid (purposes of sharia) approach. By using bibliographical studies, this article would like to criticize dig on thoughts proposed and developed by Jasser Auda pertaining to the theory of naskh from the maqasid approach which could help us to get a more comprehensive understanding and discussion dealing with naskh theory in Al-Qur’an.ABSTRAKSebagai bagian penting dalam kajian studi Al-Qur'an ('ulūmul Qur'ān), teori pembatalan (naskh) telah banyak dibahas dan dikritisi secara luas, baik oleh ahli Ushuliy maupun Mufassirin, sejak periode klasik tentang kemungkinan kejadian naskh dalam Al-Qur'an serta jenis dan modelnya sebagai contoh. Berangkat dari poin ini, artikel ini ingin membahas tentang gagasan tentang pembatalan (naskh) yang banyak dikritik oleh para ulama kontemporer, diantaranya oleh seorang sarjana kontemporer Muslim terkenal asal Mesir, Jasser Auda (1966 - sekarang), melalui pendekatan maqashid (tujuan syariah). Dengan menggunakan kajian kepustakaan, artikel ini hendak menggali secara kritis pemikiran-pemikiran yang dikemukakan dan dikembangkan oleh Jasser Auda mengenai teori naskh dari pendekatan maqashid yang dapat membantu kita untuk mendapatkan pemahaman dan pembahasan yang lebih komprehensif mengenai teori naskh dalam Al-Qur'an.

Abstract

This article deals with the development of liberal Islam in Indonesia by concentrating on the group Jaringan Islam Liberal (Liberal Islam Network; henceforward JIL). The term of liberal Islam refers to a trend among a particular group of Muslims who argue that understanding the text of Islamic teachings should be complemented by the context in which it is being reinterpreted because the text does not exhaust all the meanings of the revelation. This group also spreads basic ideas such as the opening of the gates of ijtihad, stressing the spirit of religious ethics, pluralism and relativism, the support of minorities and religious freedom. The presence of this group has aroused many responses to the ideas that it promotes. One of the responses and critics is inadequate method that JIL used in order to reach an authoritative understanding. Another problem is spirit of Islamic liberalism understanding that used will lead at the last to the idea of secularization, which draws a distinct line between religion and politics.

Abstract

This article attempts to explain and describe real condition of ‘ulūm al-Qur’ān teaching within Islamic Higher Education Institute in Indonesia. Some findings of the research show that the discipline sould be re-mapped and revitalized in order to maintain and keep the Islamic scientific tradition which has deep Islamic rooted but it the same time open to adopt new methods of Quranic exegesis from other as long as has been Islamized so that compliant and in line with the Islamic values and Islamic religious tradition.

Abstract

This paper describe about the process of studying nahwu and the problem faced by college student of Arabic language education with distance learning system. The purpose of this study is knowing the process of studying nahwu and the problems are face by college student with distance learning system at Arabic language education. The study method has been used by researcher is descriptive qualitative method. Data were collected by deep interview and documentation. The data analysis process was held by four phases are data collection, data reduction, data presentation and deduction. The results of this study are studying nahwu with distance learning system has been used google classroom and google meet as a learning media, then the learning  methods used for is a discourse method, discussion method and assignment method. The problem faced by college students are difficulties to understand the material and also difficulties to attended assignment and afraid to giving question and couldn’t focus to the subject and the last one is internet networking problem.
