Abstract

Curriculum applied at the Islamic university and the State Islamic University (UIN), especially the Faculty of Da'wa and Communication, seems have some weaknesses that need to be the primary concern of the policy makers. This weakness can be seen from the number of subjects with general learning aims so each teacher can interpret the intent of the curriculum in various ways.In addition, the required credits are quite overload, so the main professionsthat are expected to arise from the majors or courses are not concrete and focused.Based on the description above, this paper tries to study, describe, and analyze thephilosophical framework of curriculum in Faculty of Da'wa descriptively, and suggest the reorientation of curriculum as well as the the actualization reconstruction of the curriculum of the Faculty of Da'wa and Communicationwhich has future oriented.

Abstract

Many factors influence the success of learning Arabic for non-native speakers. One of the textbooks is the Al-Arabiyyah Baina Yadaik book. Darul Lughah Al-Arabiyyah Banda Aceh uses this book in learning four language skills and their elements with a communicative approach. This research focuses on learning Arabic using the “Al-Arabiyyah Baina Yadaik” in Darul Lughah Al-Arabiyyah Banda Aceh. This research is descriptive, where the data is collected through interview and documentation. The resource persons in this study were the Director and one of the teachers at Darul Lughah Al-Arabiyyah Banda Aceh. The result shows that: The process Arabic teaching learning uses direct methods, where the teacher and students communication in Arabic, again the teacher encourages students to be involved in the Arabic learning process. In addition, The teacher is in use himself to speak Arabic with the student outside the classroom. The teacher explains the Arabic language skills learning material and its elements well and uses many exercises to master the materials being studied.

Abstract

Translation is an important part of students in learning Arabic, because it will help them in the learning process. But most of them face difficulties when trying to translate reading texts from Arabic to Indonesian. Difficulties of students in translation will hinder the way of achieve a goal of learning. The purpose of this study is to determine the difficulties of students in translating Arabic to Indonesian. The results of this study indicate that the difficulties faced by students include the form of translation difficulties themselves in the form of difficulties in choosing the meaning, form, and rules. And also includes several factors in the form of linguistic, non-linguistic, internal, and external factors.

Abstract

إن الوسائل لتنمية الثروة اللغوية لدى المتعلمين عديدة منها تنشيط الطلاب للقراءة وممارسة اللغة والمفردات في محادثتهم اليومية. تعتبر المجلة من إحدى الوسائل لتنمية الثروة اللغوية لأن فيها عدة المعلومات حيث تشتمل المجلة على أربع مهارات اللغة ولاسيما مهارة القراءة. تقديم هذا الموضوع التعرف على مزايا المجلة الأسبوعية العربية وعيوبها والتعرف على المشكلات التي يواجهها الطلاب في فهم المجلة والسبب الأول والرئيس لهذا البحث التعرف على دور المجلة وفعاليتها في ترقية سيطرة الطلاب على الثروة اللغوية. لأتمام هذا البحث مستعمل المنهج الوصفي عن المجلة الأسبوعية العربية. وقام هذا البحث بثلاث خطوات لجمع البيانات يعني المقابلة الشخصية والملاحظة المباشرة والاستبانة. والعينة لهذا البحث الطلاب للصف الثاني للمرحلة المتوسطة وعددهم 101 طالبا، وكان البحث للسنة الدراسية 2016-2017. أما النتائج المحصولة فهي أن المجلة الأسبوعية العربية لها دور كبير في ترقية سيطرة الطلاب على الثروة اللغوية وتؤثر أثرا كبيرا في تنمية الثروة اللغوية لدى الطلاب كما يتضح لنا الجدول 405 أن 81 % من الطلاب موافق على أن المجلة الأسبوعية العربية تؤثر أثرا كبيرا وتلعب دورا هاما في ترقية سيطرة الطلاب على الثروة اللغوية.

Abstract

Arabic is a language that has a highly strict grammatical structure, both in terms of pronunciation, writing and others. The language consists of systematic rules and one of them is writing rule. This term is an important thing that must be considered. In Arabic, writing errors can be fatal, as damaging meanings or even changing meanings into other meanings. Similarly,  the rule of using hamzah at the beginning of a sentence. There are several students of high school or even in Arabic department who still make mistake in doing this, as happen to  Arabic students’department in UIN Ar Raniry. The purpose of this research is to analyze the students’ ability of Arabic department in UIN Ar Raniry in writing hamzah at the beginning of Arabic words. This research took 128 Arabic students’department in UIN Ar Raniry in 2020/2021 as population. Then, the researcher chose 15 students in unit five to be a sample. This research used descriptive analyze and quantitave method to analyzed the data. In this research, the researcher collected the data from the question’s answer that given by researcher to the resondent. Therefore, this data was analyzed by the researcher through percentage formula. The result showed that  the students’ ability of Arabic department in UIN Ar Raniry in writing hamzah at the beginning of arabic words is low. It related to the average value of the correct answer is only 58,66%.

Abstract

The researcher choose this title because some of students at MTsS Darul Ulum thought if Arabic lesson is difficult and complicated. This because the teacher used old instructional media and made class atmosphere bored. So that makes students don’t like Arabic lesson. Expecially in listening, even though listening is a basic skill that students must have in learning a language. Therefore, researcher wants to use cartoon films and Arabic songs as a instructional media to improve student's listening skill. This study use an experimental method with a quasi-experimental research design. And the researcher took samples from class VIII3 and class VIII4 which amounted to 40 students, 20 students for the experimental cartoon film class and 20 students for the experimental Arabic song class. This study uses test instruments, namely pre-test and post-test, using descriptive statistical data analysis techniques, paired sample T-test, and independent sample T-test using the SPSS 25 program. The results of this research is the use of cartoon films media and Arabic songs are effective in improving student's listening skill. With the results of the paired sample T-test of cartoon film media of -7.958 (sig < 0.05) and the paired sample T-test of song media of -7.764 (sig < 0.05). And there are differences in the use of the two media with the results of the independent sample T-test (Sig 2 tailed) 0.134 (sig > 0.05) where the use of Arabic song media (86.00) is more effective than the use of cartoon film media (82.00) to improve student's listening skill.

Abstract

The tittle of this research is a “Comparison Between the Drill and Practice Method and the Total Physical Response Method to Improve Student’s Ability in Vocabulary Mastery (Experimental Study at MIN 20 Aceh Besar)”. The researcher chose this tittle because the researcher found that the students felt Arabic was a difficult subject. This is caused by the use of methods by teachers who do not vary by only taking notes and memorizing vocabulary so that it makes students bored and eventually had difficulty following the lesson. Therefore, the researcher wants to use these two methods in improving student’s vocabulary mastery skills in order to find out if there is a difference in the effect between these two methods. The research method is the experimental method. The researcher took samples from class 5.1 with 20 students for the control class and class 5.2 with 20 students for the experimental class. This study uses a question instrument consisting of pre-test and post-test with descriptive statistical data analysis techniques, paired sample t-test and independent sample t-test using the SPSS v.25 program. The results of this study using the paired sample t-test showed that the Drill and Practice method and the Total Physical Response method had an effect on increasing student’s ability in vocabulary mastery. Which the alternative hypothesis is accepted and the null hypothesis is rejected. The results of the study using the independent sample t-test showed that there was no difference in the effect between the use of the Drill and Practice method and the Total Physical Response method in vocabulary learning. Thus, the alternative hypothesis is rejected and the null hypothesis is accepted.

Abstract

Parental religious education is the most important thing in educating and raising children. The religious education that parents have will influence the norms and behavior of children to be educated and mature individuals. But now, even though parents understand the religious values, it is still difficult to implement these values in the family, especially in controlling the interaction of their children. This study investigated the religious value of parents in raising their children and the solution they offer to solve the problem related to sexual harassment issues faced by the children. This study used interviews, documentation, and observation, conducted in three locations namely in Bireuen district with four families, in North Aceh with three families, in Pidie Jaya with seven families, a total of all 14 families. The survey results in Bireuen showed even though their children suffered sexual harassment and rape but the parents were still able to hold their emotions because they had a strong religious education. They were happy to have children because it was assumed that they came from intact families. There is a stigma of society that their children are victims of sexual violation, whereas their parents have a good religious education. Complete intact families that still have both parents, can bring happiness, comfort, protect, and communicate well with their children. Otherwise, incomplete families whose children suffered sexual abuse victims are difficult to solve the problems being faced, especially to cheer up their children.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to find out the application of imlak manzur using projector media can improve students' writing skills. The research method used by the researcher is experimental research. To collect data, researchers conducted pre-test, post-test. The research population is all students at MIN 8 Aceh Barat Daya while the sample in this study is grade 5 students, totaling 30 students. The research results obtained in this thesis, namely the results of the paired sample T-test -18.660 (sig<0.05) and the results of the independent sample T-test 0.489 (sig>0.05) at the significance level (Sig) (0.05> 0.00) and this shows that the null hypothesis (Ho) is rejected and the alternative hypothesis (Ha) is accepted.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the level of pedagogic competence of Arabic language teachers in MTs throughout Banda Aceh. This research is quantitative research with the research method taken is the survey method.  The research instrument used was a questionnaire distributed to a number of 21 Arabic teachers at MTs throughout Banda Aceh City.  Data analysis used descriptive statistics (Mean, Percentage, Standard deviation, and Frequency).  The results showed that the level of pedagogic competence of Arabic language teachers in MTs throughout Banda Aceh was in the high category. This research implies that the pedagogical competence of teachers is very good in carrying out Arabic language learning.
