Abstract

Dalam makalah ini dibandingkan bahasa Minangkabau yang digunakan di daerah asal dengan bahasa Minangkabau yang digunakan di daerah rantau Malaysia. Kajian beruang lingkup dialektologi karena isolek yang digunakan di rantau Malaysia dihipotesiskan sebagai variasi dari bahasa Minangkabau. Satuan bahasa yang dibandingkan adalah leksikon. Perhitungan persamaan dan perbedaan bentuk leksikal dengan menggunakan metode dialektometri diperoleh tingkat variasi bahasa dari titik-titik pengamatan yang dibandingkan. Hasil perhitungan tersebut menunjukkan bahwa tingkat variasi bahasa yang paling tinggi adalah perbedaan subdialek.

Abstract

Kieh or kiasan is seldom used in Minangkabau language. It is defined as prefix world and inserted for senses of giving on the sentence and stressing word as important meaning. Sentence style uses the equality performa, comparative, short sequential story, to explanation of morals and ethics, to describe of static materials or something else that it have the human souls, to give the same place and people, to show name and behavior, to apply the words that addressed on the other sentences and also many other style of language. In Minangkabau language, kiasan is one thing that is applied in every heart condition of speakers. This paper describes application of “Budi” word in Minangkabau language. It can be refer of human behavior on formal/non-formal frame ideas of Minangkabau speaker and word samples are also presented.

Abstract

The Educational Scouting Civilization is an educational process based on scout education which aims to improve the living conditions of civilization or society outwardly and spiritually. In Arabic, the meaning of civilization as same as "mudun", "madain" and "madani or civil society" that means a high polish, the opening of the city - the new city. The concept of education is based Al - Quran and the Sunnah of the Prophet Muhammad to the success of this world and the hereafter. Education process carried out with many handicaps such as; personal scouting ambition as a moslem scouting noble, active and fresh as the human body is beneficial to the country, the leadership soul of the moslem as high standing peoples, the life adventure as human responsibility to God and tobe Khalifa over the world. Standard competences of subject to be owned in the education concept are religion and morality, nationality and personality, science and technology, aesthetic, sport and health. Standard competence must be applied at the level of primary and secondary schools to achieve of successful outcomes of human resources.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the form and function of expressive speech acts in Novel Critical Eleven by using expressive speech act theory. The object of this research is the form of expressive speech contained in the novel Critical Eleven and classified by type and function based on the context of the speech. The method in this study used a qualitative descriptive approach with the free-involved-talk (SLBC) technique. The results showed that there were 40 (forty) data regarding expressive speech acts in the novel Critical Eleven. The function of speech acts contained in this novel is a function that is adapted to the context of the ongoing speech, namely the function to express apologies, complain, praise, regret, congratulations, thank you, disappointed, ask, longing, ask for help, attention, request, invites, jokes, hopes, commands, and sympathy.

Abstract

In this research, the authors compared the framing strategy used by the ANTARA media and TEMPO media for the issue of the ratification of the Omnibus Law on Job Creation. This research was conducted descriptively with comparative qualitative approach. A qualitative document procedure was applied in collecting the data. Fairclough's framework of Critical Discourse Analysis and the framing analysis model by Pan and Kosicki (1993) were combined to analyze the data. The result of the data analysis is presented in the table and the interpretation form. The result shows that TEMPO's framing strategy is more clearly defined, while ANTARA's strategy is less clear. In building a negative or positive representation, TEMPO Media tries to present information supported by many sources. Then, the use of images in TEMPO news supports the truth of information, while the use of images in ANTARA media improves the quality of information sources. The five news stories from ANTARA media selected in this study always use the face image of the selected informant as a source of news information. AbstrakPada penelitian ini, penulis membandingkan strategi pembingkaian yang digunakan media ANTARA dan TEMPO dalam membingkai isu pengesahan Omnibus Law Cipta Kerja. Penelitian ini dilakukan secara deskriptif dengan pendekatan komparatif kualitiatif. Prosedur dokumen kualitatif diterapkan dalam pengumpulan data. Kerangka analisis wacana kritis Fairclough dan model analisis pembingkaian oleh Pan dan Kosicki (1993) digabungkan untuk menganalisis data. Hasil analisis data disajikan dalam bentuk tabel dan interpretasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa strategi pembingkaian TEMPO lebih jelas, sedangkan strategi ANTARA kurang jelas. Dalam membangun representasi negatif atau positif, TEMPO mencoba menghadirkan informasi yang didukung oleh banyak sumber. Kemudian, penggunaan gambar dalam berita TEMPO mendukung kebenaran informasi, sedangkan penggunaan gambar di media ANTARA meningkatkan kualitas sumber informasi. Kelima berita dari media ANTARA yang dipilih dalam penelitian ini selalu menggunakan foto sumber informasi yang terpilih pada berita.

Abstract

The goal of this article is to identify and explain impoliteness strategies in the 2019 presidential election debate and to evaluate the role of impoliteness used in the 2019 presidential debate. Qualitative descriptive is the kind of method that used by the researcher. The data was gathered from four YouTube videos of the 2019 presidential election debates and analyzed using the distributional and identity methods. This study used the theory of impoliteness by Jonathan Culpeper (2005) which withhold politeness, sarcasm or mock politeness, negative impoliteness, positive impoliteness, dan bald on record impoliteness. Based on the research result, it is found negative impoliteness was the most frequent impoliteness strategy, accounting for 43%. The speaker demonstrated his superiority by accusing and condemning the flaws of others in this strategy.Keywords: Impoliteness, Impoliteness Strategies, Debate, Election

Abstract

This study aims to determine the imperative sociopragmatics form on speech of ‘amak-amak’ during the cooking process for the ‘manujueh hari’ tradition in Nagari Salayo in March 2020. The method used in this study is descriptive qualitative method. The results of the analysis of this study reveal that there are 33 imperative sociopragmatic forms of data used as imperative sociopragmatics analysis material. 6 advertisements in the form of imperative sociopragmatic ordinary, 11 advertisements in the form of imperative sociopragmatic licensing, 7 advertisements in the form of imperative sociopragmatic invitations, 9 advertisements in the form of imperative sociopragmatic orders. Based on the results of this analysis, it can be concluded that the form of sociopragmatics that often arises is licensing sociopragmatics.

Abstract

Permasalahan yang dikaji dalam skripsi ini, yaitu: (1) Apa saja jargon yang digunakan oleh anggota organisasi AIESEC Unand? (2) Apa faktor situasional yang mempengaruhi penggunaan jargon tersebut? Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menjelaskan apa saja jargon yang digunakan oleh anggota organisasi AIESEC Unand dan faktor situasional yang mempengaruhi penggunaan jargon tersebut.                 Metode dan teknik peneitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode dan teknik yang dikemukakan oleh Sudaryanto. Penelitian inn terbagi atas tiga tahap, yaitu: (1) tahap penyediaan data, (2) tahap analisis data, dan (3) tahap penyediaan hasil data. Pada tahap penyediaan data, digunakan metode simak yang terdiri dari teknik dasar dan teknik lanjutan. Teknik dasar yang digunakan adalah teknik sadap, teknik lanjutan yang digunakan, yaitu teknik Simak Bebas Libat Cakap (SBLC) terdiri dari rekam, catat, dan wawancara. Pada tahap analisis data, metode yang digunakan adalah metode padan translasional, metode padan refensial, dan metode padan pragmatis yang terdiri dari teknik dasar dan teknik lanjutan yaitu Pilah Unsur Penentu (PUP), dan Hubung Bandin Perbedaan (HBB). Selanjutnya, pada tahap penyajian hasil analisis data, dugunakan metode penyajian informal.  Berdasarkan analisis data, ditemukan jargon-jargon yang digunakan oleh anggota AIESEC Unand. Jargon yang ditemukan adalah: roll call, ori, pre-ori, newie, role, high role, expa, exp, bad case, isi, overwhelmed, op, teamdays, host fam., sustain, drum roll, ice breaking, global village, gtky, etek-etek, sucek, prede, buddies, lcp, lcvp, ocp, oc. Faktor situasional yang mempengaruhi penggunaan jargon oleh anggota AIESEC Unand yaitu: (1) siapa yang berbicara, (2) kepada siapa berbicara, (3) kapan, (4) di mana, dan (5) mengenai masalah apa.

Abstract

AbstractThis research is based on the productive use of morphological processes that change words into abbreviations, namely abbreviations in the online news media Bangkapos.com. This research aims to, 1) explain the forms of abbreviations used in the online news media Bangkapos.com and 2) explain the process of forming abbreviations used in the online news media Bangkapos.com.There are three research stages carried out in this research, namely 1) data provision stage, 2) data analysis stage, and 3) data analysis results presentation stage. At the data provision stage, the listening method was used with the basic tapping technique, then the Cakap Free Involvement Listening (SBLC) technique, and the note-taking technique as an advanced technique. At the data analysis stage, the method used is the matching method with the basic technique of Selecting Determining Elements (PUP) and the Contrasting and Comparing technique (HBB and HBS) as an advanced technique. The next stage, namely the stage of presenting the results of data analysis, uses formal and informal presentation methods. Based on the results of data analysis of abbreviations in the online news media Bangkapos.com, a) forms of use of abbreviations were found, namely: 1) abbreviations, 2) acronyms, 3) fragments, 4) contractions, 5) letter symbols, and 6) other forms of abbreviations. b) Based on the formation process, 1) abbreviations are formed through 10 processes, 1 of which is the process of forming a new finding; 2) the acronym was formed through 24 processes, 18 of which were new discoveries; 3) fragments are formed through 5 processes; 4) contraction is found through 3 processes; 5) letter symbols are formed through 5 marking processes; 6) other forms of abbreviation are formed through 5 processes in accordance with the Kridalaksana formulation, namely: affixation of abbreviations; reduplication over shortening; merging of abbreviations; disclaimer of abbreviations; abbreviation of abbreviations, and 1 other form was found, namely the form of abbreviation, a new finding from this research: the pun abbreviation form.

Abstract

Cooperative Principle is one of the pragmatics disciplines that should be known by everyone to conduct effective communication, especially diplomats. This research studied the utterances which were uttered by two Russian diplomats who are actively working at the Russian Embassy in Indonesia, Denis Tetyushin and Lyudmila Vorobyova in their interviews with Asumsi.co. The objectives of this research were to identify the maxims of cooperative principle which are produced by the interviewees in the Asumsi.co interviews, to figure out the types of maxims disobedience which are produced by the interviewees, and to recognise the motives behind the interviewees obeying and disobeying the maxims. This study was conducted with a qualitative approach assisted by a statistical descriptive method to see the distribution of the obedience and disobedience utterances. The result of the research revealed 47 data obey and disobey the maxim of cooperative principles. The most obeyed maxim was the maxim of manner, followed by the maxim of quantity, the maxim of quality, and there was no utterance which followed the maxim of relevance rule.
