Abstract

Rasch model is a method that has a long history in its application in the fields of social and behavioral sciences, including educational measurement. Under certain circumstances, Rasch models are known as a special case of Item response theory (IRT), while IRT is equivalent to the Item Factor Analysis (IFA) models as a special case of Structural Equation Models (SEM), although there are other ‘tradition’ that consider Rasch measurement models not part of both. In this study, a simulation study was conducted using simulated data to explain how the interrelationships between the Rasch model as a constraint version of 2-parameter logistic (2-PL) IRT, Rasch model as an item factor analysis were compared with the Rasch measurement model using Mplus, IRTPRO and WINSTEPS program, each of which came from its own 'tradition'. The results of this study indicate that Rasch models and IFA as a special case of SEM are mathematically equal, as well as the Rasch measurement model, but due to different philosophical perspectives, people might vary in their understanding of this concept. Given the findings of this study, it is expected that confusion and misunderstanding between the three can be overcome.

Abstract

One of the most challanging problems of our nation is mocal decadence and this problem needs to be solve urgently. There are many factors that lead to the moral decadence, among those factors are inconsistence in law enforcement, lack of role model, reduced role of parents and teachres, and inconducive environment. Given the fact of moral decadence, the government has made an effort in moral education or character building. This effort cannot be solely done by single authority or party, rather it need wider engagement and comprehensive involvement from all stakeholders. Using this method and strategy, it is expected that moral education or character building may succeed. In the context of family education and school, parents and teachers play very significant roles in moral education and character building. This paper aims at revitalizing the roles of parents and teachers in inculcating moral values for our children through family education and school education.

Abstract

The primary objective of this study is: First, determine the application of the model core curriculum in faith at Al - Fatah SDIT Bekasi. Second, knowing Implementation of faith as the core curriculum. Third, knowing the curriculum evaluation form cored faith. This study used a qualitative approach with descriptive methods. In the form of a research procedure that generates the data in the form of speech or descriptive writing and the observable behavior of people (subjects) themselves. A qualitative approach is used to reveal the descriptive data about what they do, and they feel natural to the formulation of the problem. Therefore, researchers are trying to record the activity that occurs at the site and observe the condition of the school as well as to collect data from both direct and indirect sources. The validity of the data examined using an extension of participation, persistence observation, triangulation, negative case analysis, checks member/peer discussions, member checking, and use references adequacy. Based on the purpose of the study, the results of this study can be summarized as follows: First, faith as the core curriculum in elementary school Isam Al - Fatah Bekasi is a model that integrates the values of faith into the curriculum since the structure of the curriculum as an idea, as a curriculum document, until the implementation of the curriculum. The process of integrating is to integrate faith into the subjects of Natural Sciences, Mathematics and Technology Knowledge Base; integrate faith into subjects Indonesian, English, Social Science and Citizenshipand integrate faith into the lessons of Physical Education, Sport and Health. Second, the steps to implement integrative curriculum are train teacher, the creation of a religious atmosphere, the value of integrating faith into general subjects, and applying problem-based learning approach. Integrating faith values into general subjects in 2 ways: (1) through a basic search and matching concepts, theory of knowledge is sought from the Al-Qur'an and Hadith of the Prophet and the opinion of the scholars; (2) take or learn concepts and theories of general subjects and then combined with the subjects of Islamic Education.Keywords: Keimanan, kurikulum, sekolah dasar
