Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengembangkan dan menemukan asesmen alternatif yang valid, praktis dan efektif berlandaskan pembelajaran matematika dengan pendekatan realistik di Sekolah Dasar (SD). Penelitian ini merupakan peneli-tian pengembangan yang mengacu pada model pengembangan pendidikan dari Plomp dengan mengacu pada kriteria kualitas produk pengembangan yang dikemukakan Nieveen, yang melipu-ti kriteria kevalidan, kepraktisan, dan keefektifan. Hasil peneliti-an ini adalah seperangkat penilaian dalam pembelajaran mate-matika dengan pendekatan realistik. Hasil uji coba, menunjuk-kan bahwa asesmen alternatif telah memenuhi kriteria kevalid-an, kepraktisan, dan keefektifan. Kevalidan asesmen alternatif beserta perangkat asesmen yang digunakan termasuk dalam kategori sangat baik. Kepraktisan dan keefektifan asesmen alter-natif beserta seluruh perangkat asesmen yang digunakan dalam pelaksanaan asesmen di dalam kelas termasuk kategori sangat praktis dan efektif. Ketercapaian keefektifan asesmen alternatif berdasarkan proses dan hasil pembelajaran cenderung mening-kat dengan kategori baik. Demikian juga respons siswa dan guru terhadap penerapan asesmen alternatif yang cenderung positif.Kata kunci: asesmen alternatif, pendekatan realistik________________________________________________ DEVELOPING ALTERNATIVE ASSESMENT IN MATHEMATICS LEARNING USING THE REALISTIC APPROACH IN ELEMENTARY SCHOOLSAbstract This study aimed to develop and generate a valid, practical and effective alternative assessment based on the principle of mathematics learning using the realistic approach in elementary schools (Sekolah Dasar, SD). This study was a research and development study which referred to the model of educational development by Plomp based on the criteria of product quality proposed by Nieveen, including the criteria of validity, practicality, and effectiveness. This study produced a set of assessment in mathematics learning using realistic approach. Based on the result of the tryout, the generated alternative assessment has fulfilled the criteria of validity, practicality, and effectiveness. The validity of alternative assessment and its assessment sets are in very good category. The result of the testing shows that the alternative assessment is very practical and effective, in terms of the learning process and learning achievement which tend to improve toward the good category. The response of students and teachers towards the implementation of this alternative assessment is also positive.Keywords: alternative assessment, realistic approach

Abstract

This study investigates the current practices and challenges of alternative assessment for the teachers. While oral competence remains a productive skill in learning language process, the concept of alternative assessment or teacher-made assessment (classroom assessment) is another more authentic method of assessments which is different from the traditional ones. This study involved two EFL teachers who had more than five years teaching experience and used to give alternative assessment practice in the same Islamic Boarding School (IBS). An in-depth semi-structured interview and class observation was conducted with these two key aims: (1) to describe how English teachers are currently using alternative assessment practices on EFL students’ oral competence; and (2) to describe the difficulties faced by English teachers in implementing alternative assessment on EFL students’ oral competence. The results revealed that English Teacher in IBS has widely employed several methods such as peer assessment in collaborative work, and class students’ observation. In applying alternative assessment strategies, the teachers focused on oral skills which used many group activities and gave authentic materials as topic. The teachers increased the students’ involvement by giving activities such as role-play, assigning them to memorize short dialogue, drama, conversation, and presentation. The teachers also collected students’ notebooks as additional scores, raised students’ cases or problems to solve, and shared the components that would be assessed. The teachers gave some recommendations in order to use oral presentation to stimulate students’ oral competencies in their class and evaluate or control students to practice English outside of the classrooms as well. English teachers also faced several difficulties in implementing alternative assessment on EFL students’ oral competence, such as students’ lack of vocabulary, students’ weak of pronunciation and grammar which makes the students less confidence and motivation, and some slow-learners. In addition, teachers also had limited time to assess all student competencies.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the implementation of the role of public relations in develoving school’s image of SMK Negeri 3 Sampit.LPPThe type of this study is qualitative descriptive research. The study subjects consists of 4 informants namely Principal, vise principal of public relation, teacher, and committee. The techniques of collecting data are using interviews, observation, and documentation. The analyzing data are by data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion. The data validity procedure are using triangulation techniques sources and methods.The results showed that the implementation of the role of public relations in order to build the image of SMK Negeri 3 Sampit as a whole has gone well, to external and internal public. The media used in publicizing information and attracting public interest in SMK Negeri 3 were directly and indirectly, such as oral, print media (brochures, newspaper Radar Sampit, and smart magazines), online media (facebook and website, Whats App), Broadcasting media (radio and television), special events (carrying out promotions to junior high schools coordinated by public relations), and installing banners on certain streets.

Abstract

There is an interesting phenomenon in mushalla Al-Kautsar MAN Kotawaringin Timur, Central Kalimantan at each first break. Not a few students and students come to the mushalla to perform Dhuha prayer, which is one of the sunnah prayers performed around the sun begins to rise until the time of Dhuhr. The students came one by one to the mushalla, took ablution water and performed Dhuha prayers between two and eight rak'ahs. This phenomenon shows the growth and development of students' spiritual attitudes, which at the next level grow and develop also the social attitudes of students. So that the strength of character of the students of MAN Kotawaringin Timur. The issues raised in this study are: first; what is the motivation of students to perform Dhuha prayers. Second; what character strengths appear in students after diligently performing Dhuha prayers? The methodology used in this study relies on the paradigm of social definition, with verstehen (interpretative understanding) method. While the approach used is phenomenological approach. The results of this study showed that the motivation of students to perform Dhuha prayers include: to draw closer to God, to feel calm, to refresh the body. The strength of character that arises include: courage, integrity, hope, vitality, and spirituality.

Abstract

This study was conducted to determine the effect of the effect of learning motivation to the learning difficulties in eight class at smp negeri 3 sampit in the academic year 2016/2017. Population in this study are all Class VIII of at SMP Negeri 3 Sampit totaling 286 students, which later than 286 students 114 students were acquired as the sample with techniques propotional simple random sampling for 2 weeks. Data learning motivation to the learning difficulties obtained from questionnaires, which is obtained meet regulations questionnaire validity and reliability instrument. Analysis techniques in this study using simple linear regression, meet regulations classic assumption test (normality, linearity, and autocorrelation, T test, and the coefficient of determination. Based on the analysis, obtained t_count equal to 8,256, because t_count>t_table (8,256 > 1,984) then the hypothesis is accepted, that there is an the effect on learning motivation learning difficulties in eigth classat SMP Negeri 3 Sampit in the academic year 2016/2017. While coefficient of determination of 0,378 which means that in this study the effect if learning motivation 37,8% to learning difficulties satisfaction.

Abstract

Personality problems are very closely related to one’s self, as is the nature of introverted. If the introverted is owned by someone, it will cause him to become someone who is vindictive, unable to establish relationship with other people and will have difficulty communicating well.This study aims to overcome children who have introverted nature by applying Gestalt counseling models with reversal techniques. Intake of data is using qualitative descriptive methods with case study approach.The results of this study indicate that the application of the Gestalt counseling model with reversal techniques successfully composed student who have introverted traits. There is a decrease in introverted characteristics from high category to low category after carrying out individual counseling.

Abstract

Without realizing it in our daily lives, a child who experiences a broken home has negative thoughts. This study was to determine the effectiveness of the Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy approach in Overcoming Negative Thinking in Broken Home Children. This study uses descriptive phenomenological qualitative research with a case study approach, data collection using interviews, observations and problem check list models. The final results of the process of implementing individual counseling in this study are considered to be quite effective with a percentage of 40%. These results can be seen from the change in negative thinking from the subject which gradually diminishe.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the influence of parental attention to student learning motivation in the class XI IPA at SMA 2 Sampit in The Year of 2015/2016. Population in this study all students of grade XI IPA in SMA 2 Sampit as many as 195 students. The samples in this study was using the Simple Random Sampling technique with a sample size of 49 students. The research instrument using a questionnaire with Likert Scale. Test the validity using Product Moment Correlation formula, while the reability test in this study using the formula Coeffecient Alpha Cronbach. Technique of data analisys used is simple regression analisys and hypothesis test processed with SPSS for windows version 20. The results of research show that there is influence of parents attention to students motivation to study class XI IPA at SMA 2 Sampit in The Year of 2015/2016. The magnitude of the influence of parents attention to student learning motivation is 17% and the remaining 83% is obtained from other factors that can not be researched in this study.

Abstract

Adolescence is a period in which decision making is increased. Decisions taken are decisions that determine their future. When facing a situation like this many teenagers cannot explore their choices. This study aims to address career decision making for students at MA Nurul Ummah Sampit by applying the Trait and Factor approach. This study is a qualitative descriptive research with case study approach. The data collection in this study is using interview and observation method. The results of this study indicate that applying of trait and factor approach successfully overcome difficulties in career decision making. The increase in students' career decision making from the low category becomes a very high category after individual counseling.
