Abstract

Character education for students is important for their future because personal character traits determine the quality of human life. This qualitative study aims to analyze the planning and implementation of character education at Taruna Nusantara Senior High School (SHS), Magelang - a boarding senior high school that combines teaching-loving-caring (asah-asih-asuh) and semi-military education. The unit of analysis consists of individuals and group of subjects directly or indirectly involved in the education process at the researched school and the surrounding, as well as the artifacts. The data are collected through interview, observation, and documentation, and  are subsequently analyzed using Huberman and Saldana’s interactive model. The results indicate that, in the planning, the school put more emphasis on three characteristics in character education that characterizes the school:  religiosity, morality and leadership. The planning of character education is participatory and integrated. It is implemented in and around the boarding school learning environment. The activities include teaching, training, parenting, and student development.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh kepemimpinan kepala sekolah, supervisi pendidikan dan budaya sekolah terhadap kinerja guru. Lokasi penelitian yaitu sekolah dasar negeri (SDN) di Kecamatan Kajoran Kabupaten Magelang. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif. 144 guru dipilih sebagai sampel penelitian dengan teknik area proportionate random sampling. Pengumpulan data menggunakan kuesioner. Pengujian hipotesis menggunakan rumus regresi sederhana dan ganda. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terdapat pengaruh yang positif dan signifikan antara kepemimpinan kepala sekolah, supervisi pendidikan dan budaya sekolah terhadap kinerja guru secara sendiri-sendiri atau bersama-sama. Implikasinya yaitu peningkatan kinerja guru perlu memperhatikan ketiga variabel yang mempengaruhi tersebut.

Abstract

A decision-making process in an organization is more effective if it is supported by reliable and valid information systems. Management Information System (MIS) and Decision Support System (DSS) are two systems commonly used by organizational leaders to collect information for making the Quality of Decision (QD). This study aimed to empirically investigate MIS influences on vocational high school principals’ QD. Besides, this study examined the moderation effect of the DSS on the decision-making processes. This quantitative research employed the survey method and purposive sampling technique. As many as 60 vocational high school principals and vice-principals in Yogyakarta, Indonesia were the participants of this study. They filled in questionnaires consisting of 19 items that were developed using the Likert scale. The quantitative data obtained were analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling. The research findings show that MIS has a significant effect on the quality of the decision-making process by vocational high school principals. However, for improving the decision quality, the model must be assisted by DSS as the moderator variable. MIS carries information required for principals while DSS provides data, model, and analysis instruments used for special cases in vocational high schools.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan pelaksanaan program Edmodo di Sekolah Dasar Percobaan Negeri (SDPN) Sabang dan Sekolah Dasar Kristen (SDK) 5 BPK Penabur kota Bandung. Pendekatan penelitian yang digunakan adalah kuali-tatif, desain studi kasus. Subyek penelitian dengan purposive sampling yaitu ambassador, manajer Edmodo Amerika Serikat, guru, siswa, orang tua, kepala SDPN Sabang dan SDK 5 BPK Penabur, pengawas, Kepala Dinas Pendidikan kota Bandung dan staf program sarana dan prasarana. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah wawancara, observasi, dan dokumen. Pengujian keabsahan data adalah teknik triangulasi, member-check, dan audit eksternal oleh dosen pembimbing. Teknik analisis data menggunakan model Creswell. Hasil penelitian mengungkap pelaksanaan program Edmodo yaitu mengkaji dimensi siswa, guru, dan stakeholder yang terlibat dalam pelaksanaan program Edmodo. Permasalahan dalam pelaksanaan Edmodo adalah hambatan mindset dan niat, signal, sarana dan prasarana Edmdo, dan limitasi grup. AbstractThis research aims to describe the implementation of the Edmodo program at Sekolah Dasar Percobaan Negeri (SDPN) Sabang and Sekolah Dasar Kristen (SDK) 5 BPK Penabur Bandung. The research approach was qualitative, case study design. Research subjects with purposive sampling consisted of Ambassador, Edmodo’s United States manager, teachers, students, parents, head of SDPN Sabang and SDK 5 BPK Penabur Bandung, supervisor, head of Bandung Education Office, and staff of infrastructures. The techniques of collecting data were interviews, observation, and documents. The validity testing of data was triangulation, member-checking, and external audits by the lecturer. The analysis data used was qualitative analysis data from Creswell. The results of this research were the implementation of the Edmodo program was to examine the dimensions of students, teachers, and stakeholders involved in the implementation of the Edmodo program. The problem in the implementation was the barrier of mindset and intention, signal, infrastructure, and group limitation.

Abstract

Tujuan dari Penelitian ini adalah untuk mengatahui gambaran pelaksanaan pola pelatihan manajement di de Giripurwo, Purwosari, Gunungkidul sebagai peningkatan sumber daya manusia. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian yang menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif. Diawali dengan melakukan analisis data sekunder mengenai gambaran terkait dengan produk - produk yang dapat dikembangkan di desa Giripurwo. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan cara observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Subjek penelitian sebagai sumber data dalam penelitian ini adalah masyarakat giripurwo. Pola management pelatihan yang dipilih ialah pelatihan management pengemasan nilai-nilai produk yang ada di desa giripurwo dan juga pengemasan yang berbasis IT. Di era new normal ini banyak sekali produk-produk yang ditawarkan lewat sosial media. Sosial media kini sudah menjadi teman dan disana disediakan apapun yang kita butuhkan. Digital marketing dibicarakan sebagai upaya pemasaran produk berbasis IT. Dengan digital marketing dan pemanfaatan sosial media dapat menekan biaya promosi dan dapat dialihkan untuk bahan produksi.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara mutu guru dengan kinerja guru, hubungan kepemimpinan kepala sekolah dengan kinerja guru, hubungan status  ekonomi (SE) guru dengan kinerja guru, dan hubungan bersama-sama antara mutu guru, kepemimpinan kepala sekolah, dan SE guru dengan kinerja guru di Kecamatan Suralaga, Kabupaten Lombok Timur. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan korelasional. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa: (1) ada hubungan yang  positif dan signifikan antara mutu guru dengan kinerja guru, nilai koefisien r sebesar 0.446, koefisien r2 sebesar 0.199, besar sumbangan sebesar 19.9 % dan p (signifikan) sebesar 0.000; (2) ada hubungan yang positif  dan signifikan antara kepemimpinan kepala sekolah dengan kinerja guru, nilai koefisien R sebesar 0.569, koefisien R2 sebesar 0.323, besar sumbangan 32.3% dan p (signifikan) sebesar 0.006; (3) ada hubungan yang positif  dan signifikan antara SE dengan kinerja guru, nilai koefisien r sebesar 0.214 sedangkan koefisien R2 sebesar 0.046; besar sumbangan 4.6% dan nilai p (signifikan) sebesar 0.014; (4) ada hubungan positif dan signifikan antara mutu guru, kepemimpinan kepala sekolah dan SE dengan kinerja guru, nilai korelasi R sebesar 0.769, koefisien r2 sebesar 0.591, besar sumbangan 59.1% dan nilai signifikan sebesar 0.001.Kata Kunci: mutu, kepemimpinan, SE, dan kinerja

Abstract

Abstract: The Aim of this research is to find out the effect of teacher leadership, work motivation, and teacher’s self efficacy either individually or simultanously on teacher performance. Research was conducted in state junior high school in East Bekasi with total sample of 100 persons. Data were obtained using expost facto method and analyzed using multiple regression. There is significance effect of teacher leadership on teacher performance, and work motivation on teacher performance, teacher self efficacy has no significance effect on teacher performance, and there is significance effect of teacher leadership, work motivation, and teacher self efficacy simultanously on teacher performanceAbstrak: Tujuan pada penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengetahui pengaruh kepemimpinan guru, motivasi kerja, dan efikasi diri guru baik secara independen maupun simultan terhadap kinerja guru. Penelitian dilakukan di SMP Negeri di Kecamatan Bekasi Timur dengan total sampel 100 orang guru dengan menggunakan pendekatan expost facto dan analisis dengan uji regresi berganda. Berdasarkan penelitian kepemimpinan berpengaruh secara signifikan terhadap kinerja. Selain itu, terdapat pengaruh motivasi kerja terhadap kinerja guru. Adapun variabel efikasi tidak berpengaruh secara signifikan terhadap kinerja guru. Secara simultan, kepemimpinan guru, efikasi diri, dan motivasi berpengaruh terhadap kinerja guru.

Abstract

Conceptually there are many definitions of quality from experts who originally came from the industrial world to be adopted in education. Various purposes of quality include customer satisfaction, conformity to specifications, and continuous improvement. Quality management is used in education through management functions such as quality planning, quality implementation, quality control and evaluation. Quality standards have been set as ideal regulations to become a quality assessment measure in education. This article aims to examine the basic concepts of quality and quality management and compare their application in Indonesia. Technical differences in the implementation of quality management through the stages in each institution still provide the same substance, namely quality management, which is always based on regulatory standards or certain theoretical concepts. These stages are linear with general management functions such as quality planning, quality implementation and quality control/ evaluation.

Abstract

Class climate plays a dual role as a dependent and independent variable. As a dependent variable, the class climate is influenced by several variables. On the other hand, as an independent variable, the class climate is correlated with other variables. This research aims to confirm the studies that have been done before and ensure that these related variables must be increased or become the impact of increasing the classroom climate. This type of research is a literature study that explores more than 40 articles about classroom climate conducted in Indonesia and other countries. The data analysis technique used is descriptive qualitative analysis. The results of this study indicate that among the variables that influence or contribute to classroom climate are simulation strategies, student attitudes, teacher behaviour, and integration between media and learning approaches. Variables that are affected by classroom climate include student behaviour, student achievement, student motivation, learning outcomes, and bullying behaviour. Therefore, teachers and principals are recommended to increase the variables that affect classroom climate and the classroom climate itself because they will also affect other variables. This study convinces the reader that classroom climate is an intermediary variable which is a key factor for improving the learning process.

Abstract

This article presents a systematic literature review (SLR) on blended learning in elementary school science learning. The method used is SLR and PRISMA protocol with the stages of identification, screening, eligibility, inclusion, abstraction, and data analysis assisted by Publish or Perish 7, Mendeley, VOSviewer, and NVIVO 12 Plus applications. The findings in Scopus found 906 articles, and then filtered them according to compatible themes into 54 pieces. The topic findings were blended learning, science learning, elementary school, the concept of blended learning, type of blended learning, the impact of blended learning, flipped learning, flip classroom, distance learning, distance education, active learning, online learning, blended and face-to-face learning, STEM, which were directly and indirectly connected. The 54 articles were analyzed according to the defined topics through NVIVO 12 Plus, and the results were described according to the research questions. The research findings explain that blended learning in elementary school science learning is a mixed learning model with the integration of synchronous-asynchronous technology, information, and communication technology (ICT), technological pedagogical content knowledge (TPACK), multimedia, and Android from planning to evaluation. The most studied type of blended learning is the flipped classroom, with as many as 11 studies. The implementation of blended learning has more positive impacts on students and teachers. Future research needs to explore blended learning in elementary school science learning and what students, teachers, and technological developments need.
