Abstract

Penelitian tentang aspek repoduksi ikan tambakan (Helostoma temminckii) di perairan umum Kecamatan Kumpeh telah dilakukan pada bulan Juni sampai dengan bulan Agustus 2013, pengoleksian ikan sampel dengan alat tangkap jaring insang dan jala dengan ukuran mata jaring 0,75 inchi dan 1,0 inchi. Pengumpulan ikan sampel dilakukan seminggu sekali dan pengambilan dilakukan secara acak sederhana. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat aspek biologi reproduksi ikan tambakan yang meliputi seksualitas, nisbah kelamin, tingkat kematangan gonad dan nilai indek somatik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ikan tambakan bersifat heteroseksual dengan nisbah kelamin ikan jantan betina (1,25:1,00). Nilai gonado somatik ikan betina lebih besar dari ikan jantan pada setiap tingkat kematangan gonad.   Kata kunci: gonad, tingkat kematangan gonad, heteroseksual

Abstract

This action research was motivated by the existence of problems in early reading learning in elementary schools. Early reading learning is not creative. Students are only instructed to memorize letters, words, and sentences in reading books, so that when students read simple sentences in writing, students are unable to read smoothly. The study was conducted in class I 204 Cidadap Elementary School with a total of 23 students. The research objectives were to: (1) describe the initial reading activities in class I by using the EPA 5 model for students in Class I of SD Negeri 204 Cidadap; (2) to find out the initial reading ability using the EPA 5 model for students of Class I of SD Negeri 204 Cidadap. This research was conducted with Classroom Action Research (PTK) method in three cycles. Data analysis was carried out in a qualitative way descriptively and quantitatively by searching for the average. Based on the research that has been done, the average value of students' initial reading activities in cycle I was 67.83, cycle II 72.17, and cycle III 76.52. Whereas reading ability in cycle I was 56.96, cycle II 69.13 and cycle III 80.00. It shows that the EPA 5 model can increase students' activities and abilities in learning to read early.

Abstract

Koto Petai Village is one of the villages near Lake Kerinci, especially in Danau Kerinci District, fishing activities in Koto Petai are carried out in the morning and evening according to the fishing gear used by the local community. The fishing gears found in Koto Petai village are tangkul / pesap, gill nets, nets, stick charts and traps.The aims of this study was to determine the differences in the catch of tilapia and to determine the composition of the catch in the form of weight, number and type of fish caught against the soaking time of the traps.The research method used is the experimental fishing method and the data analysis used in this study was a completely randomized design analysis (CRD). The results of the analysis of variance show that soaking time treatment had a doesn’t significant effect on the average weight to the whole catch,Meanwhile, the catch of tilapia does not significantly affect the immersion time and result of Duncan test showed that the weight of the catch of immersion for 8 hours10 hours and for 12 hourswas not significantly different (P >0.05) .Based on research that has been done inconclude that long ago soaking iron fish trap for 8 hours resulting in a more optimal catch the most caught fish is tilapia.

Abstract

Mangrove is a coastal vegetation community which dominated by several species of mangrove trees. They are able to grow and to flourish in the tidal area of muddy beach. This study aims to determine a stand and volume potency of mangrove forest in Coastal Territory of Equator village. The applied method was a partition strip. This method means to use combination between strip and partition process. On the tree level, it is used partition process while on the seedling and stake level, they are applied a small strip in the big one. The result describes that there are 5 (five) mangrove species in the spot namely Sonneratia ovata, Rhizophora mucronata, Avicennia lanata, Xylocarpus moluccensis dan Acanthus ilicifolius, particularly in Equator village. The higher INP is Avicennia lanata species which is 93, 69% level of the tree, 90,72% of the stake, and 70, 51% of seedling while the lower INP is Xylocarpus moluccensis species which is 48, 09% level of the tree, 49, 99% level of the stake and 13, 97% level of seedling. Then, it is concluded that Avicennia lanata becomes the most dominant species in mangrove forest. On the tree level potency of each hectare, Avicennia lanata species with 3, 638 m2 is higher than Xylocarpus moluccensis species with 1, and 819 m2 and the potency value of stall level is 110,25 m3/Ha. The percentage of stake volume potency of Xylocarpus moluccensis type with 0,439 m3 is lower thanAvicennia lanata type with 0, 0795 m3 in an area 10, 36 m3/Ha potency of each hectare.Keywords: Mangrove Forest Vegetation
