Abstract

Program PSR adalah upaya pengembangan perkebunan dengan melakukan penggantian tanaman tua/tidak produktif dengan tanaman baru, baik secara keseluruhan maupun secara bertahap serta memiliki dampak negatif bagi RTP berupa kehilangan pendapatan sementara (temporary loss income/TLS) Tujuan utama kegiatan adalah memanfaatkan kondisi lingkungan mikro untuk budidaya jamur sela tanaman sawit tua berbasis sumberdaya lokal yang memiliki fungsi ekonomi, pendidikan dan wisata dalam rangka diversifikasi sumber pendapatan Kegiatan abdimas selama 6 (enam) bulan bermitra dengan Poktan KTM Dataran Kempas dengan menggunakan pendekatan Participatory Rural Appraisal (PRA) dimana proses pemberdayaan ditekankan pada keterlibatan sasaran pada keseluruhan kegiatan yang diimplementasikan melalui aksi kolektif (collective action). Hasil pelaksnaan kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa pengembangan usaha berbasis jamur disambut baik oleh rumah tangga sebagai sumber pendapatan alternatif dalam menghadapi kehilangan pendapatan selama proses peremajaan sawit rakyat. Pengembangan dilakukan secara terpadu dari sektor hulu (industri baglog), budidaya (kumbung jamur) sampai pada pengolahan hasil (pasca panen) dengan berbasis pada potensi sumberdaya lokal. Pengelolaan usaha dilakukan secara kolektif atas nama kelompok tetapi dalam operasionalnya langsung oleh rumah tangga dengan komposisi yang berimbang antara ketiga sektor yaitu beberapa kelompok usaha baglog, mayoritas disektor budidaya dan dilengkapi 1 atau 2 unit usaha pengolahan hasil. Berdasarkan hasil kegiatan dapat diambil simpulan bahwa untuk optimalisasi rantai nilai maka pengembangan usaha berbasis jamur dilakukan dengan pendekatan terspersialisasi antara usaha baglog, budidaya dan industri pengolahan.

Abstract

Koto Petai Village is one of the villages near Lake Kerinci, especially in Danau Kerinci District, fishing activities in Koto Petai are carried out in the morning and evening according to the fishing gear used by the local community. The fishing gears found in Koto Petai village are tangkul / pesap, gill nets, nets, stick charts and traps.The aims of this study was to determine the differences in the catch of tilapia and to determine the composition of the catch in the form of weight, number and type of fish caught against the soaking time of the traps.The research method used is the experimental fishing method and the data analysis used in this study was a completely randomized design analysis (CRD). The results of the analysis of variance show that soaking time treatment had a doesn’t significant effect on the average weight to the whole catch,Meanwhile, the catch of tilapia does not significantly affect the immersion time and result of Duncan test showed that the weight of the catch of immersion for 8 hours10 hours and for 12 hourswas not significantly different (P >0.05) .Based on research that has been done inconclude that long ago soaking iron fish trap for 8 hours resulting in a more optimal catch the most caught fish is tilapia.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the satisfaction level of Jambi University alumni employers and aspects of higher education services that must be optimized to increase Jambi University alumni job satisfaction. The research method used is a survey method with a sampling technique that is Stratified Random Sampling, each strata is selected one sampling unit with a simple random sampling technique. Measurement of qualitative variables using a questionnaire in the form of questions with Summated Rating's Scala Likert which was tested for validity and reliability. Aspects of satisfaction analysis include: Integrity (ethics and morals), Expertise in the field of science (main competence), Broadness of insight between disciplines, Leadership, Teamwork, Foreign language skills, Communication skills, Use of information technology, and self-development. To analyze the determinants of the level of satisfaction of the Jambi University alumni employer used Path Analysis. The overall satisfaction index of Jambi University alumni is still lacking with a score of 73.78 or C. Then, the satisfaction index of Jambi University alumni who work in Government agencies (Provincial and Regency/City Governments) is still lacking with a value of 73.50 or C. Furthermore the satisfaction index of Jambi University alumni who work in companies (Private, BUMN, Foundation) is still lacking with a score of 74.76 or C. The ability of Jambi University alumni who work in government agencies and companies to solve problems is the biggest or most decisive factor on employer satisfaction Jambi University alumni.

Abstract

The research on the growth of Peranakan Etawah goat until six months-old during rainy and drought season  was  done  in  Petaling  Jaya  village Kecamatan  Kumpeh  Kabupaten  Muaro  Jambi.  Ninety  three Peranakan Etawah goats were used as sample based on the date of birth. Survey method was used to obtained satisfactory  data,  throughout  interview,  recording  and  weighting  of  body  goat.  Body  weight,  weaning weight, 6 months old-weight, pre weaning weight gain and 6 months old-weight gain were recorded during observation. Result showed that average of birth weight; weaning weight; 6 months old-weight; pre weaning weight  gain  and  body  weight  gain  obtained  were  2.33  ±  0.45  kg;  9.72  ±  194  kg;  13.24  ±  3.28  kg;  81.76  ± 20.69  and  46.07  ±  24.92  gr,  respectively.  In  conclusion,  the  growth  of  Peranakan  Etawah  goat  was  not affected (P>0.05) by season for weaning weight, 6 months old-weight and pre  weaning weight gain as well, but season had significantly effect (P<0.05) on  weight of birth and 6 months old weight gain.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh lama penyimpanan dalam suhu kamar terhadap kualitas fisik dan mikrobiologi daging kambing yang diawetkan dengan substrat antimikroba Lactobacillus plantarum BAF514 yang dikemas vakum. Rancangan yang digunakan adalah Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL), 5 perlakuan dan 4 ulangan. Perlakuan yang diberikan yaitu P1= penyimpanan 1 hari, P2= penyimpanan 2 hari, P3= penyimpanan 3 hari, P4= penyimpanan 4 hari, P5= penyimpanan 5 hari. Peubah yang diamati nilai pH, daya ikat air, susut masak dan total mikroba. Hasil analisis ragam menunjukkan bahwa lama penyimpanan daging kambing yang diawetkan dengan substrat antimikroba Lactobacillus plantarum BAF514 yang dikemas vakum berpengaruh sangat nyata (P<0,01) terhadap nilai pH, daya ikat air, susut masak dan total mikroba. Disimpulkan bahwa lama penyimpanan daging kambing yang diawetkan dengan substrat antimikroba Lactobacillus plantarum BAF514 yang dikemas vakum mengalami peningkatan nilai pH, daya ikat air, susut masak dan total mikroba setelah penyimpanan hari ketiga. Lama penyimpanan daging kambing yang disimpan pada suhu kamar yang diawetkan dengan substrat antimikroba Lactobacillus plantarum BAF514 dapat bertahan sampai hari ke 3.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to determine the shape and closeness of the relationship between slaughter weight and carcass weight with yield grade and rib eye muscle area in kacang goats. The material used in the research was 30 male kacang goats at the Mat Beken livestock business with 15 age groups I2 (2 -2,5years), and 15 I3 (3 -3,5 years). The tools used are knives, machetes, ropes, "WeiHeng" hanging scales with a capacity of 50 kg with an accuracy of 0.01 kg, digital cake scales with a capacity of 10 kg with an accuracy of 0.001 kg, transparent plastic, grid paper, number label paper, latex gloves. , calipers with an accuracy of 0.01 mm and writing tools. The variables observed were slaughter weight, carcass weight, rib eye muscle area, fat depok percentage, back fat thickness. Data analysis was carried out using correlation and regression analysis. To determine the form of relationship between slaughter weight and carcass weight (Independent Variables) with yield grade and rib eye muscle area (Dependent Variables) in kacang goats. Multiple linear regression was used, while to determine the relationship between slaughter weight and carcass weight with yield grade and rib eye muscle area, simple linear regression was used. To determine the accuracy of the regression formula in estimating yield grade and rib eye muscle area, the deviation percentage is used. The results of a simple correlation analysis showed that there was a very significant relationship (P<0.01) between slaughter weight and yield grade and rib eye muscle area for I2-aged Kacang goats, while the age of I3-aged Kacang goats for slaughter weight and yield grade had a correlation. significant (P<0.05), there was a very significant relationship between carcass weight and yield grade and rib eye muscle area for I2 and I3 goat ages (P<0.01). The results of multiple analysis showed that slaughter weight and carcass weight with yield grade and rib muscle area for I2 and I3 age goats had a very significant relationship (P<0.01). Based on the results and discussion it could be concluded that slaughter weight and carcass weight can be used as an estimate of yield grade and rib muscle area of kacang goats.
