Abstract

The general objective was to design an institutional alternative model that is more participatory that can function efficiently and effectively in the prevention of slaughtering and selling productive cows.  Research method was a survey by the institutional model of participatory approaches(Participatory Rural Appraisal/ PRA).  Random sampling was undertaken using technique of multistage group (Random multistage cluster sampling).  Processing and tabulation of data using Microsoft excel.  Method of analysis using a simple mathematical approach and descriptive analysis was used in this study.  Based on the research results can be concluded that 1) the public interest to maintain highrelative productive cows and sell them only done on urgent conditions.  2) Program productive handlingof depleted cows can be done through a variety of alternative points but more effective done at household.  3) Strengthening institutional of cattle groups need to be supported by strengthening the financingcapacity of groups such as LKM.

Abstract

The research objective to evaluating of the heifer distribution system which’s can be using as a base of the capacity building program of the farmer institution empowerment. The research survey doing 8 (eights) month which’s unit analysis is the livestock farmer households who’s receive the meat cow on the breeding program. Data collected by multi-stage cluster random sampling at the three regencies which’s representative of the three regions of Jambi Province were west, middle and east. Data analyzed using the compound interest and structural equation model with threes equation behavior divide 3 endogenous and 6 exogenous variable. The result of the research can be indicated that the interest rate of the 1 : 2 system was 22,65% and this rate more than higher from Grati system (6,60%), 1 : 1 system (4,39%) and so commercial credit investment. The evaluation of the distribution system show that the long time to first restore cattle are not different among the system rotate (average  > 30 months), the level of restored is lowest and predicted will be more length than contract period (60 months). This level of restored significantly influenced by the share cropping system, the first of restored period, and the running of shared cropping period. The interest rate of which’s must be pay by households different significantly among the share cropping system and will be significantly effected by the time period of the restored. Based on the result and discussion will be conclude that not only unfair among the share cropping system but on the same system too. Nothing incentive as a reward of the fast of restored will be decreasing the household livestock motivation to effort to acceleration of their heifer productivities.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menigkatkan kualitas hara biourin dari ternak sapi yang mendapat perlakuan trychoderma harzianum.Penelitian ini menggunakan rancangan acak lengkap dengan 4 perlakuan dan 4 ulangan. Perlakuan penelitian adalah P0 = 95% urin sapi + 5% empon-empon, P1= 94 % urin + 5% empon-empon +1% trychoderma Harzianum, P2 = 93%urin + 5 % empon-empon + 2% trychoderma Harzianum, P3 = 92% urin + 5 % empon-empon + 3% trychoderma Harzianum. Satu liter urin dicampurkan dengan empon-empon, urea dan trychoderma harzianum sesuai perlakuan. Semua bahan diaduk dan dimasukkan kedalam botol untuk difermentasi selama 21 hari. Setiap hari dilakukan pengadukan sebanyak 3 kali (jam 7.00, jam 13.0 dan jam 18,00). Setelah proses fermentasi berlangsung selama 21 hari, dilakukan pengamatan pH, bau , dan warna biourine, analisis kandungan C, N,P,K dilakukan di laboratorium BLHD kota Jambi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perlakuan trychoderma harzianumdapat merubah warna biourine yang dihasilkan. P0 berwarna coklat kehijauan 100%, P1 dan P2 coklat dan P3 berwarna coklat pekat (100%). Bau biourine dari perlakuan trychoderma harzianum berkurang dari sangat menyengat (100%) pada P0, menyengat pada P1, P2 dan P3 (100%). Perlakuan trychoderma harzianum nyata menurunkan pH biourine. Rataan pH 6,70 ± 2,49 dengan kisaran 5,2 – 9. perlakuan trychoderma harzianum sangat nyata (P<0.01) meningkatkan kandungan P biourin. Rataan P biourine 0,0803 ± 0,44 kisaran antara 0,027- 0,144 %. Perlakuan trychoderma harzianum tidak berpengaruh (P>0,05) terhadap kalium biourine,rataan kalium adalah sebesar 0,01445 ± 0,0459 mg/l dengan kisaran 0,01303 –0,01602 %. perlakuan trychoderma harzianum berpengaruh nyata (P<0,015) terhadap kandungan nitrogen (N) biourin yan dihasilkan,rataan nitrogen biourin sebesar 0,0245 ± 0,019 dengan, kisaran antara 0,0213 – 0,0177. Kesimpulan penelitian adalahperlakuan terbaik dalam menghasilkan kualias biourine adalah trychoderma harzianum 3% (P3) Kata kunci : Biourin, trychoderma harzianum, hara

Abstract

Efforts to accelerate oil palm replanting in Jambi Province are constrained due to internal and external factors that greatly affect oil palm farmers. The total area of oil palm plantation in 2022 in Jambi Province is 1,099,191 ha consisting of 201,835 ha of immature plants, 759,455 ha of yielding crops and 137,902 ha of damaged or old plants. Oil palm replanting needs to be done considering to the age of oil palm which has got unproductive period. Information on internal and external factors is needed to provide solutions to the obstacles faced by smallholders in oil palm replanting. These two factors influence the decision of farmers to rejuvenate their oil palm and find alternatif strategic options that can be done in order to accelerate the replanting of oil palm plantations in Jambi Province. The study design is cross sectional. The data analysis method used in this study is  SWOT analysis
