Abstract

Abstrak:Cadangan minyak bumi semakin menipis seiring dengan peningkatan konsumsi sumber energi fosil. Sumber energi listrikalternatif yang baru sangat dibutuhkan untuk mengatasi hal tersebut. Penggunaan peralatan pendingin ruangan (AirConditioning) yang semakin meningkat akan menimbulkan dampak pemanasan global. Panas yang dikeluarkan oleh kondensorpendingin ruangan akan terbuang dan bersatu dengan udara lepas tetapi belum dimanfaatkan. Tujuan penelitian ini adalahmenganalisis daya yang dihasilkan oleh kalor buang kondensor pendingin ruangan untuk dikonversikan menjadi energi listrikdengan bantuan generator termoelektrik (TEG). Energi kalor dikonversikan menjadi energi listrik dengan bantuan generatortermoelektrik. Pendingin ruangan kapasitas 1 HP (0.747KW). Ducting dari bahan plat aluminium dibentuk silinder dengandiameter 355 mm, panjang 100 mm, ketebalan 1.2 mm digunakan untuk menyalurkan udara panas dari kondensor. Penampungkalor buang kondensor dari bahan plat aluminium dengan konduktivitas termal 205 J/s.m.°C dan tembaga 385 J/s.m. °C.dihubungkan dengan menempelkan sisi panas generator termoelektrik sedangkan heatsink dan fan dipasang untuk bagian sisidingin termoelektrik. Pengujian pertama dilakukan dengan ducting tanpa insulasi, kedua menggunakan insulasi dari bahanglasswool dengan ketebalan 2 mm dan 12 mm. Pengujian pada ducting tanpa insulasi dan dengan insulasi untuk penampungplat aluminium dihasilkan temperatur kalor buang 35°C. Plat tembaga dihasilkan temperatur 35°C tanpa insulasi, 38°C insulasi 2mm dan 38.9°C untuk insulasi 12 mm. Daya maksimal untuk bahan aluminium dan tembaga adalah 0.0192 dan 0.0216 Watt.Kemudian pada ducting dengan insulasi glasswool 2 mm dihasilkan daya maksimal 0.0248 dan 0.0242 Watt. Pada ductingdengan insulasi glasswool 12 mm dihasilkan daya maksimal 0.0390 dan 0.0330 Watt. Temperatur kalor buang dari bahanalumunium lebih rendah daripada tembaga. Semakin tebal bahan insulasi peredam panas semakin besar daya yang dihasilkan.Daya yang dihasilkan dari kalor buang dengan bahan aluminium lebih besar daripada tembaga.Kata Kunci : Pendingin Ruangan, Kondensor, Kalor, Energi Listrik, Generator TermoelektrikAbstract:Dwindling petroleum reserves in line with the increase in the consumption of fossil energy sources. Source of electrical energybadly needed new alternative to overcome it. The use of air-conditioning equipment (Air Conditioning) to growing impacts ofglobal warming. Heat released by the condenser air conditioner will be wasted and unite with the air separated but not yetutilized. The purpose of this study was to analyze the power generated by the air conditioning condenser waste heat to beconverted into electrical energy with the aid of a thermoelectric generator (TEG). Heat energy is converted into electrical energywith the aid of a thermoelectric generator. Air conditioning capacity of 1 HP (0.747KW). Ducting of the aluminum plate materialshaped cylinder with a diameter of 355 mm, length 100 mm, thickness of 1.2 mm was used to channel hot air from thecondenser. Container condenser waste heat from the aluminum plate material with a thermal conductivity of 205 J / B.C. ° C andcopper 385 J / s.m. ° C. connected by gluing the hot side of the thermoelectric generator while the heatsink and fan mounted tothe side of the thermoelectric cooler. First test was done with ducting without insulation, the use of materials glasswool insulationwith a thickness of 2 mm and 12 mm. Tests on ducting without insulation and insulation for the container with aluminum plateproduced waste heat temperature 35 ° C. Resulting copper plate temperature of 35 ° C without insulation, 38 ° C insulation 2 mmand 38.9 ° C for 12 mm insulation. Maximum power for aluminum and copper are 0.0192 and 0.0216 Watt. Then in glasswoolinsulation ducting with 2 mm maximum power generated 0.0248 and 0.0242 Watt. In ducting with 12 mm glasswool insulationmaximum power generated 0.0390 and 0.0330 Watt. The temperature of the exhaust heat of aluminum is lower than that ofcopper. The thicker the heat-absorbing insulation material greater the power generated. Abstract

Validity and reliability are the minimal characteristics of standardized test. Both of characteristics are fundamental requirement in measuring students achievement cognitively because the quality test will achieve quality achievement. The research conducted to describe teachers perspective on standardized test. As much as 20 respondents are chosen purposefully. Qualitative approach with descriptive method are used concerning this research. Observation, documentation and interview are the tools of gaining qualitative data. The findings show that 85% from the 20 respondents knew the terminology of standardized test (validity and reliability) but do not practice it. As much as 80% never validate the test by their self. As much as 20 % from 20 respondents do not understand how to validate the test manually or electronically. The conclusion of the research are the teachers have various perspective towards standardized test. Some teachers assume that the test should be standardized and some have other perceptions.

Abstract

ABSTRACTDetermining the implementation of the assessment and evaluation being used in Foundation of Listening Subject Lecturer become the objective of this study. It is conducted to the Foundation of Listening Subject lecturer in first semester of English Education Study Program, School of Education, Pakuan University, Bogor Indonesia. Qualitative approach and Descriptive are used as method. Observation, questionnaire and interview are utilized for data collection. The findings of the study are that most of the lecturer applied multiple choice question taken from TOEFL test book to test students knowledge, while the classroom performance is assessed by performance test.Keywords: Assessment, Evaluation, Foundation of Listening

Abstract

ABSTRAKSkripsi yang berjudul Students Difficulties in Using Statistical Formula to Analyze Research Data ditulis untuk menganalisis kesulitan mahasiswa dalam menggunakan formula statistik beserta penyebabnya. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada mahasiswa semester akhir program studi Bahasa Inggris, Fakultas Keguruan dan Ilmu Pendidikan, Universitas Pakuan. Sembilan mahasiswa terpilih menjadi responden penelitian. Metode deskriptif digunakan dalam melakukan penelitian ini. Dokumentasi, questionnaire dan wawancara digunakan untuk mengumpulkan data dalam penelitian ini. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa mahasiswa mendapat kesulitan dalam mengkalkulasikan dan menginterpretasikn data penelitian. Hal itu dapat dilihat dari data skripsi mahasiswa. Selain itu, mereka mendapat kesulitan dalam menggunakan koma dalam empat digit number. Sebagai tambahan, mereka juga mendapat kesulitan dalam membandingkan antara r table dan r kalkulasi. Bahkan, ada beberapa penyebab atas kesulitan mereka dalam menggunakan formula statistik untuk menganalisis data penelitian. Pertama dari semua, mahasiswa kurang hati-hati dalam mengkalkulasikan data penelitian. Kedua, mereka jarang membaca buku mengenai statistik dan penelitian. Ketiga, mereka jarang berlatih mengkalkulasikan data penelitian dan jarang bertanya kepada dosen mengenai hal apapun yang mereka tidak pahami.Kata Kunci: kesulitan, formula statistik, data penelitian

Abstract

The paper entitled “Students’ Difficulties in Understanding Statistical Calculation” is conducted to analyze the students’ difficulty in understanding statistical calculation and the causes of it. The research is applied to the seventh semester students of English Education Study Program, Faculty of Teacher Training and Educational Sciences, Pakuan University. Students who got low score in statistics subject are chosen as the participants. Descriptive method is used in conducting this research. Questionnaire and interview are used to collect the data of this research. The result of this research shows that the students get difficulties in understanding statistical calculation. The problems are students are not able to answer statistics questions. Additionally, they are not able to understand the statistical formulas, not able to use scientific calculator, and not able to absorb the material that was taught well. Then, the causes are they are not interested in statistical calculation, they are not taught by interesting method, they were weak in calculating, and they are not familiar with scientific calculator.

Abstract

It is not doubt that writing has important role in real life.  People can communicate, give information, and share their ideas through written way. Writing is classified as difficult skill because there are some components that should be considered, some kinds of text that should be understood, some steps that should be done, etc. Many students face difficulty to write explanation text, especially for generating the ideas. For that reason, chart is chosen as the media. The aim of this research is to find out the use of chart on students’ ability to write explanation text. It is conducted to the eleventh grade students of SMA Negeri 2 Jonggol. In this research, Pre Experimental method and Pre-test Post-test Group design are used. There are 36 students from class XI MIPA 1 taken as the sample by using random sampling. The data were taken from pre-test and post-test which were analyzed by using t-test formula after having the normal data. Based on the data calculation, the mean of gain is 20.04, and the total of deviation of gain is 9.46. Moreover, t-test value is 9.45. Meanwhile, t-table value is 2.03 at significant level 0.05 with the degree of freedom (df) is 35. In this case, the t-test value is higher than that of the t-table value (9.45 more than 2.03). It means that null hypothesis (Ho) is rejected. Therefore, the use of chart affects students’ ability to write explanation text.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan kemampuan komunikasi guru dalam membimbing siswa autis di Sekolah Luar Biasa Al Irsyad Bogor tahun pelajaran 2016/2017 dan mengetahui cara guru membimbing siswa autis di Sekolah Luar Biasa Al Irsyad Bogor tahun pelajaran 2016/2017. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif studi kasus. Observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi digunakan sebagai alat pengumpulan data. Adapun pemeriksaan keabsahan data dalam penelitian ini digunakan teknik credibility, transferability, dependability, dan confirmability. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa autis, guru, kepala sekolah dan orang tua siswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa selama kegiatan pembelajaran berlangsung, guru menggunakan bentuk komunikasi secara personal dan komunikasi melalui media. Untuk menjaga komunikasi antara guru siswa berjalan dengan baik, selama di kelas guru mampu mengembangkan sikap positif, bersikap luwes dan terbuka, tampil secara bergairah. Guru menggunakan strategi ekspositori dengan menggunakan metode cermah dan demonstrasi, serta menggunakan media audiovisual. Faktor yang mencapai keberhasilan dalam proses pembelajaran yaitu guru selalu memberitahukan kepada orangtua tentang perkembangan yang sudah dicapai oleh siswa selama pembelajaran. Ada beberapa bentuk komunikasi yang digunakan guru selama pembelajaran berlangsung. Karena siswa mengalami kesulitan untuk berkomunikasi, guru menggunakan bentuk komunikasi secara personal yaitu guru melakukan komunikasi dengan mengajarkan kepada siswa satu persatu agar siswa dapat memahami pembelajaran.

Abstract

This paper is aimed to know the students’ difficulties in statistics especially in formulating experimental statistics data. Descriptive method is used to describe and analyze students’ barries in statistics. Students’ work as documentation, questionnaire and interview are used for collecting the data. The data from the documentation, questionnaire, and interview showed that the students have difficulties in the experimental data calculation. There are factors that cause their difficulties in experimental statistics data calculation. First, they seldom read experimental statistic data processing. Second, the experimental formula is more difficult from others statistic formulas. Many tables should be prepared, and taking the conclusion is also becoming students’ difficulties. To overcome these barriers, basic of math or statistics, the usage of suitable teaching method and technique are needed very much. It may change students’ behavior towards this material. Additionally, sharing to friends and students’ perception change will affect their confidence towards experimental statistics data calculation.
