Abstract

This study aims to determine the level of use mineral-vitamin complex in the diets on the weight of the slaughter and carcass of the pig breed from the age of 6 months. This research was conducted for 16 weeks in banjar lebah jadi, village jadi, Kediri, Tabanan. The design used was Randomized Block Design (RBD) consisting of 3 treatments and 4 replications/blocks, clustering based on weight. The treatments were attempted diets without of mineral-vitamin complex as the control (A), the diets with 0.10% mineral supplementation-vitamin complex (B), and 0.20% diets supplemented mineral-vitamin complex (C). The variables observed in this study were cutting weight, carcass weight, carcass percentage and back fat thickness. The result showed that the use mineral-vitamin complex at the level of 0,10 % and 0,20 % was not significantly different (P>0,05) in the cutting weight and carcass weight, in the percentage of carcasses there was an increase in treatment A and statistically significantly different (P<0,05). The use of mineral-vitamin complex 0,10 % and 0,20 % there was a decrease in back fat thickness of 17,0 % and 21,0 % of treatment A and was statistically significantly different (P<0,05). Based on the results of the above research, it can be concluded that diets using mineral-vitamin complex as much as 0,20 % in crossbred pigs can increase the percentage of carcess and reduce the back fat thickness Keywords : cutting weight, carcass, cross breed pigs, mineral-vitamin complex

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine the extent of the effect of garlic (Allium sativum) on physical quality of eggs lohmann brown age 22-30 weeks. This research was conducted for 3 months at laying hens farm in Dajan Peken Village, Tabanan Sub-district, Tabanan Regency. 36 Lohmann Brown chickens with homogeneous weights were kept in 18 plots of batrey cages. The design used in this study was a complete randomized design (CRD) with 3 treatments and 6 replications. The treatment consisted of drinking water without added garlic water extract (A) as control, drinking water with 3% extra garlic water extract (B) and drinking water with additional garlic water extract of 6% (C). The variables observed in this study were egg weight, percentage of egg white to egg weight, egg yolk percentage to egg weight, and percentage of egg shell to egg weight. The results showed the egg weight, egg yolk percentage and egg shell percentage in chicken has given garlic water extract was significantly heavier (P <0.05) compared with the controls, while in actual egg white percentage (P> 0.05) smaller than control. Based on the result of this research, it can be concluded that the giving of garlic extract (Allium sativum) with 3% and 6% level through the drinking water can increase egg weight, egg yolk percentage, and egg shell percentage, and decrease percentage of chicken egg white Lohmann Brown age 22-30 weeks. Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of turmeric leafextract (Curcuma domestica Val.) in drinking water on the physical quality of Lohmann Brown’segg. Completely Randomized Design (CRD) was used with three treatments. Each treatment was repeated six times usethree of hen bird of 60 weeks aged perspectively. The three treatments were K0 that is Lohmann Brown was given drinking water without water extracts turmeric leaf; K1 that is Lohmann Brownwas given an additional 2% of extracts turmeric leaf; K2 Lohmann Brown was given an additional 4% of extracts turmeric leaf.The variables in this study included the average of egg weight, percentage of albumen, percentageof egg yolk, percentage ofeggshell, eggshell thickness, and egg index. The results showed that the average of egg weight, percentage of egg yolk, percentage of eggshell, and eggshell thicknesswere highly significantdifferent (P<0,05) and the percentage of albumen wassignificant different (P<0,05) lower than control.The percentage of egg yolk with level 4% did not significantly different (P>0,05) from control and also from level 2%.Based on the results concluded that turmeric leaf extract at level 2% can increase average of egg weight, percentage of egg yolk, percentage of eggshell, eggshell thickness, decrease the percentage of albumen, but none effect of the egg index. Level 4% of turmeric leaf extract can increase the average egg weight, percentage of eggshell, eggshell thickness, decrease in the percentage of egg white, but none effect of the percentage of egg yolk and index. Abstract

This study aim was to find out the effect of noni leaf (Morinda citrifolia L.) extract water given into drinking water to egg production of Lohmann Brown the age of 22-30 weeks. Research in Dajan Peken village, Tabanan sub-district-Bali for 3 months with 36 Lohmann Brown chicken the age of 22 week as material. The design used is complete randomized design with 3 treatments and 6 replications. Such treatment: without added noni leaf (Morinda citrifolia L.) water extract as control (A); B: with 2% noni leaf (Morinda citrifolia L.) water extract; and C; with 4% noni leaf (Morinda citrifolia L.) water extract. Variables obserbed were feed consumption, water consumption, feed converation ratio, total egg production, average egg weight and total egg weight. The results obtained were tested by multiple analysis from Duncan. The results showed that giving leaf water extract of noni leaf into drinking water at level 2% and 4% significantly able to increased feed consumption, water consumption, total egg production, average egg weight, total egg weight and reduced feed conversion ratio value on Lohmann Brown chicken the age of 22-30 weeks. The conclusion of this study is giving water extract of noni leaf at level 2% and 4% into drinking water can significantly increase egg production and reduced feed conversion ratio value of Lohmann Brown chicken aged 22-30 weeks. Abstract

ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh tingkat penggunaan mineral- vitamin kompleks dalam ransum terhadap bobot potong dan karkas pada babi ras persilangan umur 2-6 bulan. Rancangan yang digunakan adalah Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) yang terdiri 3 perlakuan dan 4 kelompok sebagai ulangan, pengelompokan berdasarkan berat badan. Perlakuan yang dicobakan ransum dengan pollard tanpa suplementasi mineral-vitamin kompleks, (A) ransum penggantian pollard dengan dedak padi tanpa disuplementasi mineral-vitamin kompleks (B) ransum penggantian pollard dengan dedak padi yang disuplementasi mineral-vitamin kompleks sebanyak 0,20% (C). Variabel yang diamati adalah bobot potong, bobot karkas dan persentase karkas. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa ransum penggantian pollard dengan dedak padi yang disuplementasi mineral-vitamin kompleks sebanyak 0,20% tidak nyata (P>0,05) dapat meningkatkan bobot potong, bobot karkas dan persentase karkas pada babi ras persilangan umur 2-6 bulan. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa suplementasi 0,20% mineral-vitamin kompleks dalam ransum dapat meningkatkan bobot potong, bobot karkas dan persentase karkas pada babi ras persilangan. Abstract

This study aimed to determine the effect of the use of fermented dragon fruit powder by using yeast Saccharomyces cerevisiae toward the production of carcass broiler. The research was conducted at Research Station of Faculty of Animal Husbandry Udayana University, Jimbaran, Badung, Bali, for 5 weeks. This research used broilers type MB 202taken from PT Japfa Comfeed Indonesia Tbk which were 1 week old as many as 90 with a homogeneous weight. The design used was Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with 3 treatments and 6 replications, in which each replication consisted of 5 broiler aged 1 week. The treatments tried in this study were RKBN0: the ration was without dragon fruit skin, RKBN1: the ration had 5% fermented dragon fruit skin, RKBN2: the ration had 7% fermented dragon fruit skin. The variables observed were the weight of carcass, percentage of carcass, chest weight, thigh weight, wing weight and weight of back. The results showed that the chest weight with treatment of RKBN1 and RKBN2 had significant effect (P<0.05) compared to RKBN0 treatment while the weight of carcass, percentage of carcass, thigh weight, wing weight and weight of back had no significant effect (P>0,05) compared to RKBN0 treatment. Based on the results of the study it can be concluded that the administration of 5% and 7% dragon fruit skin flour fermented by Saccharomyces cerevisiae has an effect on chest weight and does not affect the production of carcass and other carcass parts. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberian ekstrak air daun mengkudu melalui air minum terhadap kadar protein, lemak dan kolesterol kuning telur ayam Lohmann Brown umur 22-30 minggu. Penelitian dilakukan di Desa Dajan Peken, Kabupaten Tabanan-Bali selama 3 bulan dengan menggunakan 36 ekor ayam Lohmann Brown umur 22-30 minggu. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian yaitu Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan 3 perlakuan dan 6 kali ulangan. Perlakuan tersebut: tanpa ekstrak air daun mengkudu (Morinda Citrifolia Linn.) sebagai kontrol (M0); pemberian 2% ekstrak air daun mengkudu (M1) dan 4% ekstrak air daun mengkudu (M2). Variabel yang diamati dalam penelitian ini adalah kadar protein kuning telur, kadar lemak dan kadar kolesterol kuning telur. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis dengan uji berganda dari Duncan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemberian ekstrak air daun mengkudu sebanyak 2% dan 4% dapat meningkatkan kadar protein kuning telur ayam, menurunkan kadar lemak dan kolesterol kuning telur ayam Lohmann Brown umur 22-30 minggu. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh suplementasi mineral-vitamin kompleks (pignox) dalam ransum terhadap performa produksi babi ras persilangan masa lepas sapih. Penelitian dilaksanakan selama 8 minggu di Banjar Lebah Jadi, Desa Jadi, Kediri, Tabanan. Rancangan yang digunakan adalah Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) yang terdiri 3 perlakuan dan 4 ulangan. Perlakuan yang dicobakan ransum tanpa suplementasi mineral-vitamin kompleks/pignox (A),ransum dengan suplementasi 0,10 % mineral-vitamin kompleks/pignox (B), dan ransum dengan suplementasi 0,20 % mineral-vitamin kompleks/pignox (C). Variabel yang diamati adalah berat badan akhir, pertambahan berat badan, konsumsi ransum dan feed conversion ratio. Hasil yang diperoleh dianalisis dengan analisis sidik ragam dan apabila terdapat perbedaan nyata (P<0,5) maka dilanjutkan dengan uji jarak berganda Duncan ( Steel and Torrie, 1991). Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa suplementasi mineral-vitamin kompleks pada level 0,10% dan 0,20% nyata (P<0,5) dapat meningkatkan berat badan akhir, pertambahan berat badan, meningkatkan konsumsi ransum dan menurunkan feed conversion ratio pada babi ras persilangan masa lepas sapih. Kata kunci : suplementasi, babi ras persilangan, performa produksi, pignox
