Pengaruh Penambahan Air Perasan Jeruk Nipis (Citrus aurantiifiolia) Dalam Air Minum Terhadap Tampilan Karkas Ayam Broiler Aditya Rakhmansyah; Warsono Sarengat; Teysar Adi Sarjana

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penambah air perasan jeruk nipis terhadap tampilan karkas ayam broiler. Materi yang digunakan yaitu 90 ekor day old chick (DOC) broiler dengan bobot rata-rata sebesar 38±0,1g. Rancangan yang digunakan pada penilitian ini adalah rancangan acak lengkap (RAL) 3 perlakuan dengan 6 ulangan. Perlakuan mulai diterapkan pada umur 21 hari. air minum ayam broiler terdiri dari T0 (air minum tanpa tambahan perasan jeruk nipis), T1 (air minum yang ditambah 0,5% perasan jeruk nipis), dan T2 (air minum yang ditambah 1% perasan jeruk nipis). Parameter yang diukur bobot potong, persentase karkas, potongan komersial dan lemak abdominal. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penambahan perasan jeruk nipis sampai 1% dalam air minum tidak memberikan pengaruh nyata terhadap tampilan karkas meliputi bobot potong, bobot karkas dan persentase karkas namun mampu menurukan persentase lemak abdominal secara signifikan pada penambahan 1%. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah penambahan air perasan jeruk nipis pada level 1% mampu menurunkan lemak abdominal tanpa mempengaruhi tampilan karkasnya.Kata kunci: jeruk nipis, broiler, tampilan karkas, lemak abdominal

The aim of the experiment was to determine the utilization of kayambang (salvinia molesta) leaves meal on protein consumption, protein efficiency ratio, nitrogen retention, and digestibility protein. Experiment used 200 japanese female quails aged 9 weeks with average body weight 114.86 ± 2.69 g (CV 2.34%). The experiment was conducted in battery cages. The study used a completely randomized design with 4 treatments and 5 replications. The treatment diets were T0 (control), T1 (2.5% Salvinia molesta leaves meal), T2 (5% Salvinia molesta leaves meal) and T3 (7.5% Salvinia molesta leaves meal). The dose of a liquid additive was 5 ml/quail. Observation of crude protein digestibility and the energy was carried for 3 days and protein measurements were analysed using Kjeldahl method. The results showed that administration of salvinia molesta leaf meal up to 7.5% level in the diet decreased the quality of the ration so that the protein utilization was also decreased as indicated by the decline of protein consumption, protein efficiency ratio, nitrogen retention, and digestibility protein. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji pengaruh sistem pemeliharaan semi intensif dan intensif terhadap kualitas fisik telur seperti berat telur, berat kerabang, tebal kerabang, warna kuning telur, indeks kuning telur, indeks putih telur dan indeks haugh. Penelitian ini menggunakan Itik Tegal berumur 36 - 48 minggu yang diberi pakan dengan komposisi ransum dari peternak rakyat. Data yang diperoleh kemudian dibandingkan rata-ratanya dengan menggunakan uji Mann-Whitney. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa itik yang dipelihara menggunakan sistem pemeliharaan semi intensif menghasilkan telur dengan kualitas fisik yang lebih baik dibandingkan dengan itik yang dipelihara menggunakan sistem pemeliharaan intensif. Berat telur, berat kerabang, ketebalan kerabang, indeks putih telur dan indeks haugh memberikan kualitas yang sama antara sistem pemeliharaan intensif dengan semi intensif.

A research aims (i) to calculated the variable cost in a farm hen laying chicken which include feed cost, sanitation and vaccines cost, employer cost, and marketing cost on every month. (ii) to calculated effort of income hen laying chicken on every month per year. (iii) to analysis influence of total population of hen laying chicken, total production egg, feed cost, sanitation and vaccines cost, employer cost, and marketing cost to effort of income hen laying chicken farm. This research implemented at Sumur Banger Farm in Sumur Banger Village, Tersono District, Batang Regency. The data collection in this research using the interview and observations. The kind of data collected is the primary data and data secondary. The data primary in the form of the data “time series” for 3 years of the period of the production of 2013, 2014 and 2015. A quantitative analysis tested using analysis linear regression. Based on research results are known to the variable cost Sumur banger Farm on breed as 35760, 35676, and 35870 chickens for 2013-2015 reached the value of Rp 5.803.076.721; Rp 6.572.239.037; Rp 7.241.422.443, while variable of cost per month on the year 2013 reached Rp 393.589.727, in 2014 reached Rp 453.686.586, and in 2015 reached Rp 505.451.870. Total revenue at Sumur Banger Farm in 2013 reached Rp 3.143.597.467, in 2014 Rp 2.988.318.193 and in 2015 Rp 3.011.419.770, while revenue each month on the year 2013 reached Rp 261.966.456, in 2014 Rp 249.026.516 and in 2015 Rp 250.951.648. Based on analysis linear regression the variables that significantly partially on poultry layer farm business income is the amount of egg production (sig 0,000<0,05) and marketing cost (sig 0,000<0,05). Then for partial values that do not significantly affect the revenue that is population of hen laying chicken (sig 0,447>0,05), feed cost (sig 0,404>0,05), vaccines cost (sig 0,621>0,05), and employer cost (sig 0,111>0,05). ABSTRACT The purpose of this research were to know level of profit, capability of getting profit, capability of return investment, time capability of return investment, capability to know ratio of getting profit from production cost on Suroso Farm of layer chicken. The data which to be analyzed was primary data taken from interview and secondary data taken from institution. This research use kind of type financial analyzed Return On Investment (ROI), Payback Periode (PP), dan Benefit Cost Ratio (BC Ratio). The result of analyzed show rate of population Suroso Farm 35.870, ROI 68%, PP value to return investment 1 year and BC ratio 2,6. That means this company Suroso Farm is feasible to be going on and profitable. Keywords: ROI, PP, BC ratio.

A research dedicated to understand just what exactly motivate breeders and its influences (knowledge, conduct and skills) on chicken farming in Grobogan District. Data in this research are collected through observation and interview with questionnaire, including the primary data.Methods used are quantitative and qualitative. Testing analysis is done by using a computer program called Statistic Package for Social Seience (SPSS 16) with a simple linear regression test to find out breeders’ motivation and behavioral effects on the broiler chicken business. Based on the research in Grobogan District, it can be concluded as such: geographically, Grobogan District is suitable for chicken farming due to the abundance of food resources especially corn. Motivation level of the breeders is relatively high. The breeders’ behavior which includes knowledge, conduct and skills is categorized as also high. The result of the simple linear regression test shows that motivation is influenced by behavior and knowledge, while conduct and skills do not visibly affect the motivational aspect of the breeders.
