Abstract

Patient safety culture is a major aspect of quality Dental and Oral Hospital services. There are various professions, equipment, and provide services for 24 hours without stopping. The aim is determining culture perceptions of patient safety among dentists, young dentists and medical staff in dental and oral hospitals. This type of quantitative descriptive research with cross-sectional approach. Research site in the dental and oral hospital of the University of Muhammadiyah Semarang. A sample of 65 respondents consisting of dentists, young dentists, and medical staff used simple random sampling techniques. Data analysis using univariate is presented in the frequency distribution table. The results are Perception of Dentists, Young Dentists and Medical staff, the assessment of internal cooperation, poor (50.8%), Perception the assessment of managers, good (64.4%). Perception communication appraisal of work unit, good (50.8%), Perception frequency reports of wrong actions or events is not expected, good (53.8%). The perception of the assessment of the patient safety level, good (55.4%). The perception of hospital management overall assessment, poor (58.5%). The conclusion is the culture of patient safety in the Dental and Oral Hospital from the perception of Dentists and Medical Staff are good, but the perception of Young Dentists is still poor.

Abstract

Suatu budaya keselamatan pasien merupakan suatu tanggung jawab bersama dilingkungan rumah sakit. Rumah Sakit Gigi dan Mulut ini merupakan salah satu tempat pelayanan kesehatan yang masuk dalam kategori baru. Belum adanya survey mengenai data keselamatan pasien pada Rumah Sakit tersebut. Dalam hal itu perlu dilakukan upaya untuk meminimalisir terjadinya insiden keselamatan pasien sebagai bentuk upaya peningkatan mutu Rumah Sakit Gigi dan Mulut. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan Persepsi Manajemen Keselamatan Pasien Rumah Sakit Gigi dan MulutUniversitas Muhammadiyah Semarang.Tipe penelitian deskriptif kuantitaif digunakan sebagai model pendekatan. Sampel penelitian melibatkan 65 responden. Uji keabsahan data didapatkan hasil bahwa memiliki nilai r hitung lebih besar dari r tabel (>0,5529). Adapun hasil reliabilitas kuesioner didapatkan nilai cronbach alpha sebesar 0,783. Analisis penelitian dilakukan dengan menghitung persepsi responden mengenai Manajemen Keselamatan Pasien Rumah Sakit Gigi dan Mulut Universitas Muhammadiyah Semarang. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa manajemen rumah sakit secara keseluruhan, keselamatan pasien di RSGM Unimus dikatakan sangat baik dengan mayoritas respon positif (87,41%). Indikator mengenai kekurang nyamannya jika harus berkolaborasi dengan unit lain merupakan persepsi yang paling rendah dibanding indikator manajemen rumah sakit terkait mengenai komitmen terhadap keselamatan pasien lainnya.

Abstract

Background: Hospital environmental management is a series of cycles and management strategies to develop environmental management capacity. The hospital is one of the biggest waste producers that has the potential to cause pollution to the surrounding environment, both the community and the hospital itself. Hospitals produce waste that increases every day, especially solid waste which can be divided into medical and non-medical waste. Management of hospital medical and non-medical solid waste is needed for the comfort and cleanliness of the hospital environment, because it can prevent health problems. Method: This type of research is qualitative with a research design a Focus Group Discussion (FGD), with a sample of 5 respondents. The types of data used are primary and secondary data. Result: Based on results of the research, it was found that the Unimus Dental Hospital has a permit and also corporation with third parties related to medical management, where in this case, of course, the Unimus Dental Hospital already has a storage room for medical and non-medical waste according to applicable standards. Conclusion: Management of medical waste at RSGM Unimus is already good, it needs regular mentoring and evaluation so that performance in medical waste management is well monitored.
