Abstract

Generally, a display LED which can display character in large numbers and needs many LEDs too. The aim of this research is to make display LED using 16 LEDs which arranged in horizontal. That display LED is well known in mechanical display LED or propeller LED that can display many characters. The work of mechanical display LED rotates lines of LEDs in high speed and utilizes the speed of LEDs blink alternately, so in the certain speed can form a character letter or number. The method used in this research is a quasi-experimental methods. Basically, this tool utilizes optical phenomenon commonly called Persistence of Vision. Persistence of Vision is the inability of the human eye to see a rapid change of image, so they translate as image sequence. Mechanical LED display is equipped with Infrared remote to give input in real time on the display. Sensor Hall-Effect in Mechanical LED display is used as position of display reference when the display rotates. Input is processed by microcontroller Atmega16A to control LED. The data which received by microcontroller was displayed in 16 LEDs that rotated by DC motor on 2400 rpm speed. Based on the result and observation of the project, the mechanical LED display can display clock using RTC IC. The communication with infrared remote can send well the data at maximum distance of 5 meters without obstructions.

Abstract

AbstractThis study designs an Arduino-Based Floor Cleaners Robot to help people in an efficient floor cleaning.  Arduino-based floor cleaning robot consists of keeping the circuit, ie: proximity sensors, sensor drivers, motor drivers and DC motor connected to the digital ports on arduino uno. Robot will work when the proximity sensor can distinguish between black and white stripes. Simultaneously, arduino will execute the command data and continue to drive the motor so that the robot works to clean the floor. Results showed that robot cleaning the floor by following the black lines that serve as its path. The movement of the robot will transport the waste passed on the track so that the areas that have been passed robot will clean..Keywords: robot, arduino, floor cleaners, line follower AbstrakPenelitian ini merancang sebuah Robot Pembersih Lantai Berbasis Arduino yang bertujuan untuk membantu manusia dalam membersihkan lantai secara efisien.  Robot pembersih lantai berbasis arduino terdiri dari beberap arangkaian, yaitu: proximity sensor, driver sensor, driver motor dan motor DC yang dihubungkan dengan ports digital pada arduino uno. Robot akan bekerja saat proximity sensor dapat membedakan garis hitam dan putih. Bersamaan dengan itu, arduino akan mengeksekusi data dan melanjutkan perintah untuk menggerakkan motor sehingga robot bekerja membersihkan lantai. Hasil pengamatan menunjukkan bahwa robot membersihkan lantai dengan mengikuti garis hitam yang dijadikan sebagai jalur kerjanya, pergerakan robot akan mengangkut sampah yang dilalui pada jalur tersebut sehingga area yang telah dilalui robot akan bersih.        Kata kunci: robot, arduino, pembersih lantai, line follower

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to analyze the needs of students and teachers in developing a learning media in the form of a trainer to support the sensor and transducer practicum process during the Covid-19 Pandemic. This type of research is quantitative research with descriptive statistical analysis techniques. Data were collected through questionnaires distributed online to 75 respondents, including productive electronic engineering and electrical engineering teachers at SMK Negeri 2 and SMK Negeri 10 Makassar and their students. In addition, there were also respondents from electronic engineering students at the two schools. This study indicates that facilities and infrastructure in schools are in the high category with a percentage of 64%. Learning conditions during the Covid-19 Pandemic based on data from respondents are in the medium category with a percentage of 67%. The level of need for IoT-based sensor trainer learning media to support distance learning at SMK Negeri 2 Makassar and SMK Negeri 10 Makassar is in the high category with a percentage of 72%. Based on this value, it can be concluded that practicum facilities are needed in the form of IoT-based sensors and transducer trainers that can be used as alternative learning during the Covid-19 Pandemic. It is hoped that the teachers can adjust learning tools according to pandemic conditions so that the implementation of the learning process can run smoothly.

Abstract

Sistem irigasi sawah di Desa Lempangang Kecamatan Bajeng Kabupaten Gowa masih mengandalkan sumur bor untuk menyuplai air ke sawah mereka. Hal ini disebabkan karena struktur tanah persawahan di daerah ini tidak rata, terdapat area sawah yang rendah dan ada pula yang tinggi. Sebenarnya terdapat saluran irigasi pada area sawah yang rendah, namun tidak selamanya tersedia aliran air, sehingga pada musim kemarau para petani kesulitan dalam mendapatkan air. Oleh karena itu, para petani menggunakan pompa air berbahan bakar premium untuk mengalirkan air dari sumur bor mereka ke area persawahan. Biasanya untuk satu petak sawah dengan luas sekitar 30 sampai 35 are membutuhkan sebanyak 7 liter premium dengan waktu rata-rata 12 jam hingga air memenuhi seluruh permukaan tanah. Metode pengujian system irigasi ini dilaksanakan selama 3 tahapan yaitu: tahapan pertama, pompa akan dijalankan selama 4 jam. Pengujian dilakukan dengan melihat kondisi pompa dan menghitung jumlah debit air yang dihasilkan. Tahapan kedua, pompa akan dijalankan selama 8 jam dan memantau kondisi pompa dan jumlah debit air yang dihasilkan. Tahapan ketiga, pompa akan dijalankan selama 12 jam dan memantau kondisi pompa dan jumlah debit air yang dihasilkan. Ada dua manfaat utama yang dirasakan oleh mitra yaitu tersedianya pompa irigasi sawah dengan sumber tenaga listrik dari tenaga surya, dan petani memiliki pengetahuan tambahan tentang teknologi terbaru yang lebih ramah lingkungan dan lebih efisien.

Abstract

Abstract. The use of learning devices in public lectures is an absolute requirement to provide convenience and smooth learning in the teaching process. The purpose of this research is to create a complete sensor trainer based on Arduino. The sensor grouping used in this trainer consists of light sensors, temperature sensors, tilt sensors, colour sensors, sound sensors, GSM & GPS, and Accelerometers. The overall research procedure is to start from the manufacture of box trainer design, PCB layout design, box trainer creation, PCB layout creation, module trials, repair, and module installation. Based on the research procedure, the creation of this trainer consists of two parts namely hardware and software. Trainer trials are conducted by examining the voltage source on the power supply and connecting it to each sensor module according to the required amount of voltage. The sensor module is in good condition and works when the indicator light on the module is lighted. Next, create a basic Arduino IDE-based sensor value reading program to ensure that the sensor module can function as in its usability. The development of this trainer can be done by connecting sensor and controller devices with the internet so that the monitoring and controlling process can be done based on IoT

Abstract

Mitra Program Kemitraan Masyarakat ini adalah SMK Negeri 2 Makassar. Permasalahan utama dari kegiatan ini yaitu kurangnya media pembelajaran dan motivasi guru dalam menyiapkan media pembelajaran itu sendiri. Akibatnya, proses pembelajaran berjalan apa adanya, peserta didik hanya mencatat, perangkat pembelajaran tidak dirancang secara sistematis dengan ketersediaan sarana dan prasarana yang belum lengkap. Oleh karena itu dilakukan pelatihan bagi guru-guru produktif jurusan teknik elektronika di SMK Negeri 2 Makassar agar dapat mengembangkan kompetensinya dalam bidang pembuatan media pembelajaran berupa trainer. Kegiatan ini dilakukan dengan metode ceramah, diskusi, tanya jawab, dan mitra pendamping. Hasil yang dicapai dalam kegiatan ini adalah diperoleh trainer sensor dan transduser sebagai media pembelajaran praktikum bagi peserta didik. Selain itu, indikator keberhasilan penerapan desain media pembelajaran trainer sensor dan transduser menunjukkan hasil memuaskan yang terlihat dari hasil evaluasi dan pemantauan terhadap uji coba penggunaan trainer sensor dan transduser oleh guru-guru di SMK Negeri 2 Makassar. Hasil Uji Coba penggunaan trainer menunjukkan bahwa 94% guru-guru mampu melakukan simulasi rangkaian sebelum melakukan praktek secara langsung pada trainer, 82%  peserta mampu membuat program dan sebanyak 76% peserta mampu merangkai dan menggunakan trainer sensor dan transduser. Serta respon guru terhadap kegiatan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat ini menunjukkan 88% peserta menyatakan puas terhadap kegiatan ini

Abstract

Abstract. This PKM partner is SMK Negeri 2 Makassar. The main problem of this activity is the lack of instructional media and teacher motivation in preparing the learning media. As a result, the learning process runs as it is, students only note, learning devices are not designed systematically with incomplete facilities and infrastructure. Therefore, training was conducted for productive teachers majoring in electronic engineering at SMK Negeri 2 Makassar in order to develop their competence in the field of making learning media in the form of trainers. This activity is carried out by means of lectures, discussions, questions and answers, and companion partners. The results achieved in this activity were obtained by sensor and transducers trainer as practical learning media for students. In addition, indicators of the success of implementing the design of the sensor and transducer trainer instructional media show satisfactory results as seen from the results of evaluation and monitoring of the trial use of sensor and transducer trainers by teachers at SMK Negeri 2 Makassar. The results of the trial using trainers showed that 94% of the teachers were able to simulate a series before practicing directly on the trainer, 82% of the participants were able to program and 76% of the participants were able to assemble and use the sensor and transducer trainers. As well as the teacher's response to this Community Service activity, it shows that 88% of participants expressed satisfaction with this activity.

Abstract

Abstrak. Pertanian merupakan salah satu sektor ekonomi yang paling banyak ditekuni oleh masyarakat Kabupaten Gowa, khususnya pada Kecamatan Bajeng Desa Lempangang. Kegiatan rutin petani pasca panen padi adalah melakukan pengeringan gabah secara manual di lahan kosong dekat rumah atau di lapangan. Permasalahan yang muncul dilapangan adalah (1) pengeringan gabah yang dilakukan merupakan pekerjaan yang berat karena petani harus membolak-balikkan gabah yang terhampar di atas lahan lapang setiap jamnya dan membutuhkan banyak tenaga karena dilakukan di bawah terik matahari, (2) kurangnya pemahaman petani terhadap teknologi yang sehingga kegiatan pengeringan masih sepenuhnya dilaksanakan secara konvensional. Sasaran dari kegiatan Program kemitraan Masyarakat (PkM) ini adalah Kelompok Tani Desa Lempangang Kec. Bajeng Kab. Gowa. Metode yang digunakan adalah: ceramah, demonstrasi, diskusi, tanya jawab, dan mitra pendamping. Hasil yang dicapai adalah (1) robot pengaduk gabah saat pengeringan yang dapat dikontrol dari jarak jauh dengan menggunakan remot kontrol, (2) Partisipasi aktif dalam kegiatan mencapai 100% mitra mengikuti kegiatan secara penuh waktu. Sehingga mitra memiliki pengetahuan tentang teknologi yang dapat mempermudah proses pengeringan gabah konvensional dan dapat menerapkan teknologi robot pengering gabah sehingga mampu mengefektifkan pengeringan padi pasca panen, (3) Respon mitra sangat tinggi mencapai 92% terkait kebermanfaatan kegiatan PkM Robot Pengaduk Gabah. Kata kunci: Robot Pengaduk, Gabah, Pengeringan, Kualitas, Padi

Abstract

The design of the UV Smart Robot aims to produce alternative technology that can keep the mosque floor sterile as a solution to prevent the transmission of the corona virus 19 amid the emergence of new variants. This robot is able to maintain the cleanliness and sterility of the floor which is equipped with a type C ultraviolet lamp based on the internet of things, so that this robot can work automatically and can be monitored in real time. The research method we use is Research and Development (R&D) research that aims to produce or develop certain products. This method is applied to research procedures into 3 namely needs analysis, user needs analysis, product analysis. There are 3 tests carried out in the smart robot design, namely, remote control and ESP32 testing, camera testing and sterilization. As well as mathematical testing by conducting literature studies related to the level of effectiveness of UV rays used in robots. In testing the remote control and ESP32 runs according to the commands given to the robot. Then in camera testing which was carried out three times the experiment showed the location well. Furthermore, the mathematically sterilization of the SARS-CoV-2 virus requires 5 mj2 doses to be eradicated, so that through the use of an ultraviolet C oesram lamp with a dose of 10.48 J/m3 the eradication process can be carried out effectively. So it can be said that Smart Robot UV is able to be a solution to the spread of the emergence of new variants of covid-19, especially in houses of worship in mosques that are congregants and become an application of appropriate technology.

Abstract

The purpose of this service activity is to provide solutions to overcome the problems faced by productive teachers majoring in electronics engineering at SMK Negeri 2 Makassar including designing learning media in the form of sensor and transducer trainers, providing material related to the development of learning media, providing material and training related to learning media in the form of trainers, and provide materials and training related to the use of sensor and transducer trainers. The method of implementing this activity is design, definition, manufacture and deployment. Furthermore, to determine the achievement of this activity (whether the output of this activity is of good quality to be used as material in designing learning media development patterns), it is necessary to evaluate the implementation of activities during the activity process and after the end of the activity. Evaluation of this media was carried out by conducting trials on productive teachers at SMK Negeri 2 Makassar. The results of an evaluation of the level of partner satisfaction can be seen in Figure 3. with P1 to P10 being statement items given to partners covering PkM themes, PkM materials, benefits, community needs, planning, monitoring and evaluation, budget use, application of PkM results, exchange of information and follow-up of PkM activities. Statements about the usefulness of implementing PkM activities got 59% who answered very satisfied, the remaining 41% answered satisfied with the benefits of PkM. In addition, the statement regarding the exchange of information that occurred during the implementation of the PkM obtained a percentage of 53% very satisfied and 47% said they were satisfied.
