Abstract

Currently, various types of news media that are developing have their own challenges, one of them is the increasing number of digital or online media. The increasing number of digital media in the form of online news sites not only has a positive impact on society, but also poses challenges. The more the number of online news portals increases, the more information is spread out. With a variety of topics and diverse information, it creates problems for readers to make time efficient in reading in full to obtain the desired information. This makes the phenomenon of text summarization very important. The purpose of this study is to analyze the Latent Semantic Analysis method in the text summarization process. The dataset used comes from previous research which includes 100 Indonesian news articles from various online news portals. In the experiment process, the Steinberger and Jezek techniques are used for the sentence selection process. The summary process is carried out using three types of compression rates, namely 10%, 30% and 50%. The best results obtained in this study are the precision value of 20% at a 10% compression rate, a recall value of 42% at a 50% compression rate, and an f-measure value of 22% at a 50% compression rate.

Abstract

Scientific article writing training is an important step in preparing quality PKM-AI and PKM-GT proposals. A good scientific article not only clearly and systematically describes the research, but also demonstrates its relevance and contribution in the chosen field. Therefore, students need to understand the basic concepts of writing scientific articles, the proper structure, and effective writing techniques and strategies. This research aims to provide the understanding and skills needed in writing scientific articles as tips for success in writing proposals for the Student Creativity Program (PKM) in Artificial Intelligence (PKM-AI) and Game Technology (PKM-GT). In an era of rapid technological development, PKM is a way for students to develop creative and innovative ideas related to AI and GT. Training methods include presentation sessions, discussions, and writing practice. Participants will be introduced to the main steps in writing scientific articles, including selecting topics, identifying research questions, reviewing the literature, developing a framework, collecting data, analyzing data, and discussing results. In addition, participants will be taught how to avoid plagiarism and adhere to scientific writing ethics. It is hoped that the results of this training will provide an in-depth understanding of writing scientific articles and improve participants' abilities in preparing strong PKM-AI and PKM-GT proposals. With good writing skills, students are expected to be able to present their ideas and contributions clearly, as well as gain support and recognition from institutions and related parties.

Abstract

The increase in electricity consumption goes hand in hand with the growth of population and industry. Sustainable power plants such as turbines are one option. Turbines and generators are the main components as well as the availability of sufficient water discharge to turn the turbine so that it can be forwarded to the generator. This research was conducted in order to test the performance of a turbine laboratory scale that has been designed. The output power generated in the crossflow turbine is 12.5 Watt to 287.906 Watt for a load of 100 Watt and a variable guide blade with a static head of 0.25 kg/cm

Abstract

Kualitas suatu pendidikan dapat ditingkatkan melalui berbagai langkah salah satunya adalah lewat penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK). Lewat PTK ini mutu pendidikan di Indonesia dapat ditingkatkan dengan memperbaiki proses belajar di dalam maupun di luar kelas. PTK merupakan hal yang penting sehingga wajib dilaksanakan pada semua sekolah-sekolah di Indonesia, salah satunya sekolah yang ada di Kabupaten Sidrap. Metode Pelaksanaan Pengabdian yang dilakukan adalah ceramah dan diskusi. Peserta kegiatan merupakan guru-guru sekolah, baik guru sekolah dasar maupun sekolah menengah ke atas di Kabupaten Sidrap. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan selama satu hari pada bulan Januari 2023 dan dilaksanakan di Aula Kementerian Agama Kabupaten Sidrap.

Abstract

Convolution neural networks (CNN) have been widely applied for the computer vision task. However, the success of CNN is limited by the computational complexity of the network, so it is difficult for the model to run the inference process in real time. In this paper, we apply Strassen matrix multiplication to reduce multiplications in convolution operations in CNN, in order to get faster execution for CNN. First, we transform the convolution operation into a matrix multiplication operation using the Toeplitz mapping method, then after that, we apply the Strassen method to these matrices. In the end, we compare the number of arithmetic operations (multiplication and addition) in the convolutional layer using Strassen and the standard algorithm. We apply this algorithm implementation in convolution layers 1 and 3 in LeNet-5 Architecture.

Abstract

Academic assessment is an evaluation process or learning outcomes to measure student learning progress and achievements in the context of formal education, using established methods, instruments and criteria, as well as providing relevant feedback. In improving the quality of education in schools, it is necessary to have an effective and objective academic assessment system which is an important element in improving the assessment system. Therefore, this study aims to provide training on how to assess learning outcomes or academic results for SD/SMP/SMA/equivalent teachers in Sidrap District. The method of implementing the service is lectures, discussions, and the practice of using the instruments provided. The results of the evaluation of practicing the instruments obtained are that teachers get a simple and easy academic assessment system when processing students' grades and teachers will be able to make assessment instruments according to the 2013 curriculum standards. This service in the form of training is expected to provide great benefits for teachers -teachers in SIdrap District in an effort to increase their understanding of good academic assessment and can improve the quality of assessment in schools.

Abstract

Inventory recording is critical for business players, not only for giant corporations but also for micro, small, and medium enterprise (MSMEs). A thorough record of entering and exiting items can reduce errors, streamline work procedures, and make future investment decisions easier. However, due to limited human resources in information technology, MSMEs may continue to keep records manually. Store N, a costume rental MSME, also encountered a similar issue. Business owners need help keeping track of the rotation of costumes, especially at certain events. This research aims to create a web-based shop inventory information system based on the waterfall model to assist store N in running its business. Purchases, rentals, returns, and the state of costumes are all recorded centrally in a database. The research results found that this system functions properly, speeds up employees serving customers, and makes it easier for owners to monitor business activities and allocate funds appropriately to procure new costumes.

Abstract

Ketika model jaringan saraf tiruan menjadi lebih baik , keinginan untuk mengimplementasikannya di dunia nyata semakin meningkat. Namun, konsumsi energi dan akurasi jaringan saraf tiruan sangat besar karena ukuran dan kompleksitasnya, sehingga sulit untuk diimplementasikan pada embedded devices. Kuantisasi jaringan saraf ini adalah sebuah teknik untuk dapat memecahkan masalah seperti mengurangi ukuran dan kompleksitas jaringan saraf tiruan dengan mengurangi ketepatan parameter dan aktivasi. Dengan jaringan yang lebih kecil, dimungkinkan untuk menjalankan jaringan saraf di lokasi yang diinginkan. Artikel ini mengkaji tentang kuantisasi yang telah berkembang dalam beberapa dekade terakhir. Dalam penelitian ini, kami mengimplementasikan kuantisasi dalam algoritma lenet-5, yang merupakan algoritma jaringan saraf convolutional pertama yang pernah ada, dan dievaluasi dalam dataset MNIST dan Fashion-MNIST.

Abstract

Peningkatan kecepatan aksesibilitas informasi yang ditandai oleh lahirnya teknologi digital telah mengubah cara kita menjalani kehidupan kita sehari-hari. Keterampilan pada bidang teknologi ini dapat membantu kita mengatasi berbagai tantangan di era digital. Dari sekian banyaknya keterampilan dalam bidang teknologi dan informasi saat ini, kemampuan dan penguasaan dalam bidang Internet of Things (IoT) menjadi salah satu bidang yang cukup penting. Salah satu aspek kunci untuk dapat memahami teknologi Internet of things adalah dengan menguasai komponen mikrokontroller. Komponen tersebut adalah bagian utama dalam teknologi IoT. Kegiatan Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat ini berbentuk pelatihan dengan tema “Pelatihan Mikrokontroller Berbasis Arduino Uno Untuk Pemuda di Kelurahan Maccini Parang Kota Makassar”. Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan pada peseta tentang teknologi IoT khusunya Mikrokontroller yang menjadi komponen utamanya. Pelaksanaan kegiatan ini dilakukan dengan melakukan observasi awal dan berkoordinasi dengan ketua RT pada salah satu lokasi di Kelurahan Maccini Parang sebagai mitra kegiatan ini, dilanjutkan dengan tahap pelaksanaan kegiatan pelatihan. Adapun metode pelaksanaannya yaitu pemberian materi tentang mikrokontroller berbasis Arduino Uno, serta pengerjaan simulasi dan praktek penggunaan mikrokontroller itu sendiri.

Abstract

Tujuan pengabdian ini membahas tentang upaya peningkatan kapasitas guru dalam menulis artikel ilmiah dengan memanfaatkan Artificial Intelligence (AI). Melalui pendekatan Action Research, para guru terlibat langsung dalam proses perbaikan dan pengembangan kemampuan mereka dalam literasi digital dan teknik penulisan artikel ilmiah. Tahapan pengabdian kepada masyarakat melibatkan langkah-langkah sistematis untuk mencapai tujuan peningkatan kemampuan guru dalam memanfaatkan AI. Hasil pengabdian menunjukkan peningkatan kemampuan guru dalam menulis artikel ilmiah, yang diharapkan dapat meningkatkan kualitas publikasi ilmiah mereka. Dengan pemahaman yang lebih baik tentang AI, guru diharapkan dapat mengintegrasikan teknologi ini secara efektif dalam pembelajaran, menciptakan lingkungan pembelajaran yang lebih inovatif dan adaptif. Kesimpulannya, pengabdian ini memberikan kontribusi nyata dalam meningkatkan literasi digital dan kemampuan menulis artikel ilmiah guru, serta memberikan landasan untuk pengembangan kegiatan pengabdian di masa mendatang.
