Abstract

AbstrakPembelajaran di sentra alam dengan tema lingkungan alam memiliki tantangan tersendiri bagi guru-guru dalam pelaksanaanya dikarenakan lahan yang sedikit. Guru masih banyak menggunakan lembar kerja siswa yang dibeli dari toko-toko buku dan kurang kreatif sehingga tidak mengembangkan media sendiri. Maka dibutuhkan pelatihan pembuatan media yang dapat menggambarkan situasi ekosistem yaitu terrarium ekosistem. Terrarium merupakan media yang terbuat dari kaca baik botol, aquarium atau plastik transparan yang berisi tanaman dengan metode yang unik yang disesuaikan dengan kondisi alam yang sesungguhnya. Pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk memberikan pelatihan bagi guru TKIT Al Mishbah menciptakan eksosistem mini dalam suatu media kaca agar mempermudah guru dalam mengajarkan Lingkungn Alam yang disebut terrarium. Pelaksanaan kegiatan berlangsung selama 4 hari mulai 25 juni sampai 28 juni 2019. Metode pelaksanan kegiatan ini dilakukan dengan cara tutorial terbimbing. Pembuatan terrarium meliputi pembuatan terrarium ekosistem gurun, terrarium hutan hujan tropis, dan terrarium savana. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini menjadi solusi permasalahan yang dihadapi oleh guru dalam materi ekosistem di sekolah, sehingga guru dapat menyeimbangkan antara teori dengan kondisi alam sesungguhnya. Kata Kunci: Terrarium, Guru TKIT Al Mishbah , Lab Mini.

Abstract

Pada tumbuhan paku sering terjadi fenomena poliploidi dan salah satu penyebab yang diduga dapat menimbulkan peristiwa poliploidi adalah suhu dingin. Oleh karena itu penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui tingkat ploidi paku sayur (Diplazium esculentum) pada ketinggian yang berbeda di Gunung Merbabu. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimen menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL). Objek yang digunakan adalah tumbuhan paku Diplazium esculentum yang diambil dari ketinggian yang berbeda (±500 mdpl, ±1500 mdpl, dan ±2500 mdpl) di salahsatu gunung tinggi Indonesia, yaitu Gunung Merbabu. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan tingkat ploidi Diplazium esculentum pada ketinggian yang berbeda. Tumbuhan paku Diplazium esculentum yang berada pada ketinggian ±500 mdpl menunjukkan hasil tipe sitologi diploid (2n) yang memiliki jumlah rata-rata kromosom adalah 54,2; pada ketinggian ±1500 mdpl menunjukkan hasil tipe sitologi triploid (3n) yang memiliki jumlah rata-rata kromosom adalah 80,533; sedangkan pada ketinggian ±2500 m dpl memiliki jumlah rata-rata kromosom sebanyak 105,333 dengan hasil tipe sitologi tetraploid (4n). Dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan tingkat ploidi Diplazium esculentum pada masing-masing ketinggian di Gunung Merbabu.

Abstract

Agricultural and plantation areas dominate the Plandaan subdistrict, so the majority of the livelihoods of its residents are engaged in agriculture. In practice, in addition to using pesticides, crop pest control in the Plandaan subdistrict is to make use of refugia plants. The refugia technique is economical and environmentally friendly because it does not use synthetic chemicals that damage the environment. In addition to acting as natural pest control, refugia plants are also known to have potential as medicines. This study aimed to inventory or collect medicinal plants refugia in the agricultural area of ​​the Plandaan subdistrict. This study used descriptive explorative methods. Data collection techniques were carried out through observation and directly documenting species of refugia plants with potential drugs found in the area of observation plots. In this study, the subject was a potentially medicinal refugia plant found on an observational plot with a plot size of 10 × 10 meters. The observations were three plots of agriculture fields and three plots of telajakan (open space). The frequency of refugia plants found from the study on the plot of agriculture fields as many as 1035 plants, while in the plot of telajakan as many as 1007 plants consisting of 37 types of species that each has different medicinal potentials, such as heat and fever lowering, treating cough, flu, skin diseases, and wounds. Agriculture field plots had more frequency of potentially medicinal refugia plants than telajakan plots.

Abstract

Science based process skills are those that involve the use of tools and materials and interact in learning activities. The research was back to back by needs analysis questionnaire that science teacher and biology teacher never did a skill assessment but not yet applied a science based process skill assessment and the science teacher has applied science but hasn’t practice. The research aims to describe the feasibility of a science based process assessment instrument on the material of the sensory system developed. This development has been using the 4D model namely Define, Design, Develop, Disseminate. but at this stage of disseminate of cost limitations and time. The data collection instruments used included a questionnaire on the needs of educators, an expert validation questionnaire and an expert validation questionnaire. The results of the expert validation of the assessment instrument obtained a percentage of the feasibility of the science based process skills assessment instrument is 72.72% with feasible criteria, and the results of the material expert’s validation percentage of eligibility is 93.75% with worth it criteria. The research conclusion describes the feasibility of a science based process assessment instrument on the developed sensory system material that is worthy of use.

Abstract

Media pembelajaran merupakan sarana komunikasi antara pendidik dengan peserta didik dalam proses pembelajaran. Media pembelajaran memiliki beragam jenis, satu di antaranya adalah media 3 dimensi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan media pembelajaran 3 dimensi materi polinasi dan fertilisasi tumbuhan berbiji untuk Sekolah Menengah Pertama (SMP). Metode penelitian yang digunakan mengikuti model pengembangan ASSURE (Analyze learner;State performance objectives; Select methods, media, and materials; Utilize materials; Requires learner participation; Evaluate and revise). Media yang telah dikembangkan selanjutnya dilakukan validasi oleh ahli materi dan ahli media. Hasil validasi akan direvisi dan diuji coba kepada pengguna, (peserta didik). Analisis data dilakukan secara deskriptif. Media pembelajaran 3 dimensi yang dikembangkan mendapat nilai 88,80% dengan kriteria sangat layak dari ahli materi; 93,85% dengan kriteria sangat layak dari ahli media; dan 90,10% dengan kriteria sangat menarik dari pengguna. Abstract

Arthropod daily visits were seen from how often the Arthropod family visited the refugia plants of Zinnia elegans and Ruellia tuberosa species which were determined based on the Arthropod average per hour observed. This study aims to (1) find out what arthropods are found in Zinnia elegans and Ruellia tuberosa in Megaluh District, (2) find out the frequency of daily visits of arthropods to Zinnia elegans and Ruellia tuberosa plants in Megaluh District. This research is an exploratory descriptive study with a quantitative approach. This research was conducted in February 2021. Determination of the sampling point (sampling) was determined using the purposive sampling technique. The technique of collecting data is by collecting data using the visual control method at a distance of 2 meters at 06.00-07-00, 11.00-12.00, and 16.00-17.00. The data analysis technique was using SPSS paired t-test (pair-sample t-test). The results showed 22 families were found consisting of Paradoxosomatidae, Calliphoridae, Formicidae, Salticidae, Muscidae, Pentatomidae, Apidae, Vespidae, Flatidae, Gryllidae, Chrysomelidae, Crambidae, Hesperiidae, Stratiomyidae, Oxypidae, Coenagrionidae, Mantidae, Alyphecidae, Coccinellidae, Coccinellidae. , Pieridae. The highest average daily visitation frequency for Zinnia elegans was the Formicidae family with an average daily visit frequency of 8.5556 individuals/hour, while the highest family Ruellia tuberosa was also the Formicidae family with an average of 14.3333 individuals/hour. In Zinnia elegans and Ruellia tuberosa based on t-test, the significance level (2-tailed) was significant in the Pentatomidae family with a significance value of 0.003.

Abstract

The purpose of this development research is to determine the design and feasibility of STEM-based learning videos on Escherichia coli bacteria material. The type of research used is research and development (R & D) with a 4D development model. However, in this study, it was limited to 3D without the Dessiminase stage. The research subjects were students of the 6th semester biology education study program with a total of 7-10 students. The data used are quantitative data (validation questionnaire scores and student responses) and qualitative data (suggestions and comments from validators and students). Data retrieval using a material and media validation questionnaire instrument and student response questionnaires. The results obtained are the formation of a product in the form of STEM-Based Learning Videos on Escherichia coli Bacteria with the "Eligible" category where 69.4% for material validation and 70.2% for media validation. Meanwhile, for student responses, the percentage is 78% in the interesting category. This product is expected to help students in learning independently so as to support the improvement of learning outcomes and student interest in learning. In addition, this product can be a source of supporting learning in the learning process as well as a source of reference for the wider community.

Abstract

Okra (Abelmoschus esculentus) contains secondary metabolite compounds that can function as an antibacterial which can inhibit the growth of gram-negative bacteria. This study aims to determine the antimicrobial inhibition zone of purple varieties of okra extract on the growth of gram-negative bacteria (Escherichia coli). This research is an experimental study using a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with a disk diffusion testing method. The object used was purple okra fruit extract at concentrations of 10%, 20%, 30%, 40%, 50%, 60%, 70%, 80%, 90%, 100% with negative control of DMSO and positive control of chloramphenicol. Inhibition zone diameter measurements are indicated by clear areas, ie areas that are not overgrown with bacteria. The results showed that the most optimum inhibition zone of purple varieties of okra fruit extract was at a concentration of 40%, 50% and 60% with an average value of 6.67 mm.

Abstract

Kegiatan ini dilakukan di TPQ Darussalam desa Mojokambang Jombang. Santri di TPQ Darussalam masih mengalami kekurangan pengetahuan di bidang agama dalam penerapan dikehidupan sehari hari. Karena banyaknya santri dan kurangnya tenaga pengajar, membuat santri menjadi tidak fokus dalam belajar. Masih banyak kekurangan dalam membaca al qur’an dengan baik dan benar. Yang pada akhirnya, kesalahan pelafalan huruf dan tajwidnya menjadi sama dan tidak ada perubahannya, selain itu juga banyak dari santri yang masih belum mengerti do’a-do’a dalam kehidupan sehari hari dan juga bacaan sholat lima waktu. Metode pendekatan untuk pelaksanaan kegiatan pengabdian pada masyarakat ini adalah metode brain based learning. Metode brain based leraning dilaksanakan pada kegiatan pembelajaran setelah membaca al qur’an. Metode yang digunakan dalam kegiatan ini yaitu observasi, sosialisasi, bimbingan dan evaluasi. Adapun respon Peserta terhadap kegiatan sosialisasi yaitu dalam aspek pemahaman, sebanyak 87,4% santri sudah lebih paham tentang asmaul husna, doa sehari-hari dan surat-surat pendek. Aspek pengetahuan, sebanyak 83,7% santri sudah mengetahui dan mempraktikkan asmaul husna, doa sehari-hari dan surat-surat pendek sesuai apa yang sudah disosialiasikan. Secara keseluruhan sebanyak 82,6% santri merasa sangat senang dengan adanya pembelajaran dengan menggunakan metode brain based learning. Kegiatan ini dapat memberikan tambahan wawasan dan pengetahuan tentang asmaul husna serta memberikan inovasi baru kepada pengajar dan santri dengan pendekatan brain based learning.

Abstract

Polyploidy is a condition when the individual has more than two genomes, this polyploidy phenomenon is common in fern plants and one of the causes that is suspected to cause polyploidy events is cold temperatures. Therefore, this research aims to determine the level of ploidi fern vegetables (Diplazium esculentum) at different altitude in Semeru Mountain. This research is an experimental research using Completely Randomized Design (CRD). The object used is the Diplazium esculentum taken from different altitude (500 masl, 1500 masl, and 2500 masl) in Semeru Mountain. The next step is making the preparatory and chromosomal counts were then calculated on 5 root hood cells and each cell was counted for 3 repetitions. The data obtained were analyzed by one way Anova analysis with SPSS. The research results showed that there were differences in ploidy levels of Diplazium esculentum at different altitude indicated by F count (126.849) > F table 0,05 (3.885). Diplazium esculentum located at an heights of 500 masl showed the result of diploid cytological type (2n) which has an average number of chromosomes was 62.934; at an heights of 1500 masl indicated the result of triploid cytological type (3n) which has an average number of chromosomes was 80.334; while at an heights of 2500 masl has an average number of chromosomes as much as 106.4 with tetraploid cytological type results (4n). Thus it can be concluded that there is a difference in ploidy level of Diplazium esculentum at each altitude in Semeru Mountain.
