Abstract

This study aims to determine the feasibility of herbarium media used in the learning process on Pterydophyta material. This research is a mining study that refers to Dick and Carey. The sample used is 50 students taken by random sampling. The data obtained were analyzed descriptively quantitatively. Herbarium media is validated by media experts with 89.07% percentage with very reasonable criteria and validation by material experts with 86.46% value with media criteria produced also very feasible. After the improvement in accordance with the validator's suggestion and then continued product trial to students with a percentage value of 85.27% indicating that the herbarium media product produced is very good.Keywords: learning media, herbarium, Pterydophyta

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui kebutuhan bahan ajar mahasiswa terhadap capaian pembelajaran berbasis KKNI dalam mata kuliah Taksonomi Organisme Tingkat Rendah. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada mahasiswa pendidikan biologi di Universitas Negeri Medan semester V tahun akademik 2018/2019 yang telah mengampu mata kuliah Taksonomi Organisme Tingkat Rendah yang berjumlah 110 orang. Jenis penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif jenis survei dengan menggunakan teknik pengumpulan data berupa angket dan lembar observasi. Hasil pada penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa materi yang sulit dipahami mahasiswa adalah protista dan eubacteria karena bersifat mikroskopik sehingga sulit untuk diidentifikasi, sedangkan yang mudah dipahami berupa materi fungi dan pterydophyta dikarenakan sudah bersifat makroskopik dan mudah ditemukan dilingkungan sekitar. Sehingga Kesimpulannya adalah bahan ajar disusun sesuai dengan kebutuhan mahasiswa dilengkapi dengan lembar kerja mahasiswa berbasis masalah agar membiasakan mahasiswa untuk dapat menganalisis suata masalah berdasarkan fakta dan data.

Abstract

This research aims to describe and explain: (1) the conversation structure in the classroom interaction of Indonesian language subject between teachers-students and among students and (2) the language function of the teachers' language and students' language in the classroom interaction. This research was conducted at SMA Negeri 2 Sragen. The subjects of this study were the use of language the teacher and students in Indonesian language course. The data in the form of sentences and discourse were analyzed by Sinclair & Cotlthard (1975) theory and Halliday (1973) theory. This research belongs to qualitative research using case study methods. The results of this study are; first, in the teachers-students conversation structure and the students-students conversation structure found new actions, namely, repeat. Both of the sequences of the conversation structure unit are from the largest to the smallest, namely: lesson, transaction, exchange, move, and act. Second, the language functions in the teachers’ language and students’ language, namely: the instrumental function, the regulatory function, the interaction function, the representational function, the personnel function, and the heuristic function.

Abstract

Documentation of the use of medicinal plants is a race against time. This traditional medical science is not documented, only conveyed orally, it is attractive to the elderly and less attractive to teenagers, causing this knowledge to be left behind and lost in one generation. This study aims to publish and document belief systems, utilization practices, local knowledge and cultural importance values of traditional medicinal plant species of the Mandailing Tribe. Location The research was conducted in Manisak Village, Ranto Baek District, Mandailing Natal Regency, which was held from December 2021 to March 202. Data was collected through semi-structured interviews, participatory observation, documentation, Collection of plant samples and the manufacture of herbarium. The data were analyzed descriptively qualitatively and quantitatively. The results showed that the Mandailing people used 44 species of medicinal plants which were included in 30 families. The highest family was Zingiberaceae 4% while the lowest family was Rutaceae 1%. The highest habitus of herb and the least habitus was liana. The practice of using plants by the Mandailing Tribe begins with meeting the datu, providing materials, materials in the form of plants obtained from the advice of the datu or parents who understand the pulungan of medicinal plants, the method of processing is mostly boiled and the method of use is mostly by drinking. Eme (Oriza sativa) with an ICS value of 71, its use is as a medicinal ingredient, a staple food ingredient that has no substitute, and traditional ritual events (mythology). Keywords: Ethnobotany, Traditional Medicine, Mandailing Tribe Belief System, utilization practices, local knowledge, Values of cultural importanc.
