Abstract

A macroscopic movement of traffic consists of traffic volume, speed and density which are used to evaluate the quality of transportation system. By analysing these three variables, a result which infrom about the condition about a transportation system will be provided. The information from the analysis of the variables shows the condition of the traffic condition through the traffic volume and density. When a road has a bad condition of transportation system, the analysis will describe it through high density of traffic and the maximum traffic volume is exceeded.This research is conducted on Padjajaran Street to evaluate the characteristic of transporatation system on the road.The data, which were collected, consists of traffic volume and spot-speed on every lane of the road. Those were collected on Monday, Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday at peak-hours, which are 6.30am-8.30am, 11am-1pm and 4pm-6pm. The analysis used vehicles classification according to MKJI 1997 and conducted an analysis through several models, which are Greenshield, Greenberg, Underwood and Bell models. By comparing these four models, the best one is chosen and become the model to describe the quality of the transportation system on Padjajaran Street.The best result according to the value of R2 and the analysis of the traffic variables, every lane has their own best model which can be applied. However, most of the lanes are well-modelled using Underwood method. Finally, it comes to a conclusion that Padjajaran Street is classified as urban road.

Abstract

In 2008, the city of Yogyakarta adopted a buy the service scheme in the Trans Jogja public transport aiming to improve the quality of public transport and reduce congestion. Based on the study of GIZ-SUTIP in 2012, there were several problems in Trans Jogja, including inadequate bus stops and excessive staff numbers. The aim of our study were to evaluate and improve bus stops performance and analyze bus stop service quality according to passenger perceptions. This study is a descriptive study using purposive sampling technique, conducted on 12 Trans Jogja bus stops and 180 respondents. The data obtained were analyzed using MS Excel and SPSS 22 computer program. The results showed that bus stop performance was not good on headways, waiting times, and on-time performance. The clearance time of far-side bus stops was shorten than near-side and mid block bus stops. The near-side and far-side bus stops were accessed by passengers on foot. The service quality of the Trans Jogja shelter does not match the expectations of the passengers with a Gap Servqual value of -0.790. The service attribute was in quadrant C of the Cartesian Diagram, that requires corrective action from the Trans Jogja operator.

Abstract

An evaluation of the condition and performance of the BBT Port needs to be carried out because of the significant increase in the number of tourist visits to the Bintan Beach International Resort area. Still, since its inauguration in 1994, the port has not changed much. Passenger terminal needs are commonly defined through projections using the exponential trend method based on ship and visitor flows in the last five years. A port performance is based on BOR (Berth Occupancy Ratio) calculation. In contrast, for the performance evaluation of passenger terminal services is based on the perception of tourists as passenger terminal users obtained from the questionnaire results with a Likert scale and the Importance Performance Analysis (IPA) method from the IPA, interviews with the BBT port manager, are conducted by using the Strength Weakness Opportunities Threats (SWOT) method to formulate the development strategy. The analysis result shows that it needs to increase the waiting area up to 613 m² in 2033, and the parking area of 17,173 m², while the BOR at the BBT port is still in a proper category, by  24.11% of the UNCTAD 50% requirement. In evaluating the passenger satisfaction to the port services, the improvement focuses on the priority quadrant, namely the physical condition of the BBT port facilities. Next, formulating a development strategy in terms of physical aspects and management to adjust the passenger needs, and the BBT port is ready to face business competition in the future.

Abstract

Karet Station has an average number of passengers at 12,594 people per day in 2018, has a large potential of pedestrian trip generation. The basic problem experienced by pedestrians at Karet Station is when they (KRL passengers) leave the station, they cannot find a clear pedestrian path to accommodate their movement towards other public transport facilities. As the result, the pedestrians scattered and even crossed the road and stopped the public transportation arbitrarily. This activity causes a high risk of accidents and traffic flow constraints caused by reduced capacity of road section due to public transport activities while waiting, lowering, and raising passengers. The purpose of this research was to analyze the pedestrian lane characteristics, and service level based on technical guidelines and stated preferences of passangers. In this research, the primary data were collected by conducting direct surveys in study area to get characteristics of pedestrian, traffic flow, and passanger perception about pedestrian facilities performance. Analytical results from this study conclude that from technical guidelines approach, there are two sidewalk segments in the Karet Station area which require special attention with the level of service categori at C and E level, and  also requires improved pedestrian crossing facilities from zebra cross type to be underpass or pedestrian bridge. Based on stated preferences approach, from the assessment of 24 service attributes, there are 6 attributes of lowest performance services included in quadrant I of Importance Performance Analysis (IPA) matrix which are the main priority that must be resolved immediately.

Abstract

The use of private vehicles that are increasingly out of control causing traffic congestion. About 71% students and college students in the city of Yogyakarta use private vehicles daily. The main solution to overcome this in Yogyakarta is by improving the quality of public transportation. Students are reluctant to use public transportation because their residential area is not yet reached by Trans Jogja. The purpose of this study is to analyze the need to add bus stops that are suitable for students in the Urban Aglomeration Area of Yogyakarta in order to increase the student's desire to use Trans Jogja, so that it is expected to reduce congestion. The results of this study indicate that the distance between the school or campus to a bus stop has already met the standard, but there are still as many as 9% of students whose school or campus's location is within >400 meters to the bus stop. Meanwhile, the distance from the house to the bus stops does not meet the standards because as many as 45% of students whose house location is within > 400 meters to the bus stop. So Trans Jogja need to add additional stops around residential houses and around schools or campuses to increase the number of students to use Trans Jogja as many as 330 bus stop points consisting of 267 existing bus stops and 63 new bus stops. Abstract

Branta Port, located in Pamekasan Madura, is a connecting port area around Java Island and Madura Island. The port has an important role in logistics and supply chain activities as well as economic development in Indonesia, especially in Java and Madura. But the reality is Branta Port has some shortcomings in the port facilities to security sector. It based on the lack of regulation enforcement of the port management itself. The lack of renewal of the port master plan is also one of the obstacles to the port's poor performance. Therefore, with this research, it is expected to obtain a broad picture of the development strategy at the Branta Port. The methods are Location Quotient (LQ) & ships loading and discharge at port forecast using several forecasting analysis. The results show the ships call, loading and discharge flow at Branta Port have a fluctuating pattern follow the seasonal trends in salt production activities in Madura region. Where in 2039 (long-term) the loading and discharge flow at Branta Port is predicted to reach 380,927 tons which in 2018 amounted to 139,855 tons. The results of the port performance calculation are performed using port performance indicators called Berth Occupancy Ratio (BOR), where the BOR value from year to year to the long-term forecasting year (2039) is 22.08%, which is still below 40% for an additional indicates that the jetty is not busy according to UNCTAD criteria. Whereas the need for port facilities such as warehouses and stacking fields has increased. The development strategy focused on port facilities such as the berth length expansion from 100m to 186m, construction of port warehouses of 183m2, improvement of several port facilities such as navigation facilities and causeways, also the addition of port waste treatment facilities.Keywords: Location Quotient, forecasting, econometric method, Berth Occupancy Ratio

Abstract

One of the pioneer flight route approved by Communication Ministry in 2018 is Batam-Rengat route. In progress, the pioneer route changed into commercial route, signed by initiation commercial company of Wings Air in August 2018. However, in August 2019, the Wings Air Company did not offer the route to the public. Finally, now, there is no flight service provided to the route, which is detrimental to people who need air transportation on that route. For the reason, it is needed to conduct research to express significance behind the closing event of the flight route. This study aimed to analyze the process of Batam-Rengat route progress from 2018 to 2019 and identify factors that affecting the closure of the Batam-Rengat flight route in 2019. Method used in this study was qualitative study with case study. Information was chosen according to specific criteria and data were collected by in-depth interview and secondary data request to relevant institutions/organizations. Hereinafter, interview data were reduced and classified according to specific themes. Furthermore, primary and secondary data were compiled into a unit to make description of activity event of Batam-Rengat route flight from 2018 to 2019. Times series analysis was used to find description of route progress process from the pioneer flight to commercial flight, and factors analysis was used to identify the factors affecting the route closure. The results of time series analysis indicate that the pioneer flight operated during six months from February 2018 to July 2018; then, along with the commercial flight for five months from August 2018 to December 2018. From January 2019 to June 2019, there was only one flight service, namely, commercial flight by the Wings Air. The results of factor analysis indicate the closure of the Batam-Rengat commercial route is influenced by passenger demand, flight schedules, airplane fares, and demand patterns. This study found other findings, namely the Japura-Padang flight route has good market potential and community/business participation efforts in Indragiri Hulu to help the occupancy rate of aircraft on the Batam-Rengat flight route

Abstract

Pada awal Tahun 2019, JD.com bersama JD.ID berhasil melakukan uji coba pengiriman barang menggunakan pesawat udara tanpa awak (drone) di Indonesia untuk layanan logistik yang lebih maju, hal ini merupakan isu yang penting dalam pengiriman barang yang lebih efisien. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk memberikan gambaran bagi jasa pengiriman barang yang akan memanfaatkan teknologi pesawat udara tanpa awak (drone) dalam menyiapkan pesawat udara tanpa awak (drone) dan jalur terbang yang tepat untuk digunakan. Metode deskriptif kualitatif yang diawali dengan mengumpulkan literatur, melakukan observasi dan juga mengumpulkan data hasil wawancara terstruktur dengan 10 orang informan digunakan dalam penelitian. Hasil penelitian ini adalah Teknologi pesawat udara kecil tanpa awak (small drone) terus berkembang, delivery drone di daerah perkotaan merupakan pengembangan terbaru pada tahun 2020, pesawat udara kecil tanpa awak (small drone) tipe multi-rotor serta memiliki sistem terbang VTOL tepat untuk digunakan dan jalur terbang yang mengikuti median ataupun sisi jalan didarat aman untuk operasional pengiriman barang.

Abstract

Kota D.I Yogyakarta merupakan kota wisata yang sangat kaya akan potensi didalamnya, dimana salah satunya terdapat pada Destinasi Super Prioritas KSPN Borobodur, sehingga sudah seharusnya ditunjang dengan dukungan dari sisi aspek transportasi. Aspek transportasi merupakan salah satu unsur penting dalam kegiatan pariwisata, khususnya saat proses pengantaran wisatawan dari dan ke tujuan wisata. Akan tetapi, hal tersebut sering kali tidak melibatkan perspektif sisi transportasi dalam proses pengembangan kawasan pariwisata terutama dalam segi perencanaannyayang menyebabkan sebagian besar pelayanan periwisata lemah pada sistem transportasi akibat melalaikan unsur keberlajutan dampak lingkungannya. Layanan Angkutan DAMRI KSPN merupakan angkutan penumpang umum yang berfungsi sebagai bentuk konektivitas dan aksesibilitas layanan dalam mendukung pengembangan destinasi KSPN Borobudur. Berdasarkan hal tersebut, hal yang perlu diperhatikan adalah kondisi pelayanan angkutan ini sebagai moda layanan angkutan wisata dimana berdasarkan hasil analisa nantinya dapat diperoleh hasil urgensitas karateristik perkembangan layanan dari tingkat persepsi responden terhadap kualitas pelayanan. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini perlu dilakukan agar output hasil penelitian dapat menjadi rekomendasi dan evaluasi bagi stakeholder terkait dalam menentukan arah kebijakan di masa mendatang.

Abstract

Pemerintah dalam menerapkan sebuah kebijakan manajemen lalu lintas guna mengatasi permasalahan lalu lintas dan mewujudkan lalu lintas yang aman, lancar, selamat dan efisien dibantu dengan kajian yang dilakukan oleh peneliti. Hal tersebut dilakukan guna mengetahui setiap kebijakan manajemen lalu lintas yang dilakukan dapat tepat sasaran. Manajemen lalu lintas tersebut dapat berupa manajemen prioritas, manajemen kapasitas maupun manajemen permintaan. Jalan Khatib Sulaiman di Kota Padang pada Tahun 2018 dilakukan manajemen kapasitas Jalan dengan mengurangi lebar median jalan menjadi 0.8-0.9 meter. Penerapan manajemen kapasitas dapat mengurangi ruang manuver pada fasilitas u-turn sehingga berpotensi meningkatkan tundaan rata-rata dan kecepatan rata-rata. Penelitian ini menggunakan software microsimulation vissim dalam memodelkan kondisi eksisting serta melakukan simulasi dalam upaya peningkatan kinerja lalu lintas. Hasil survey traffic counting menunjukan bahwa volume lalu lintas Jalan Khatib Sulaiman sebesar 1870,30 smp/jam untuk arah utara dan 2048.35 smp/jam arah selatan dengan waktu perjalanan rata-rata sebesar 5,15 menit dan kecepatan rata-rata sebesar 27,56 km/jam. Selanjutnya model vissim dibuat dengan menggunakan network, distribution, dan driving behaviour. Kemudian dengan menginput data lalu lintas ke dalam software microsimulation vissim, didapatkan kondisi eksisting dan dilakukan kalibrasi dan validasi. Validasi dengan menggunakan GEH menghasilkan nilai 0,67 dan 2,17 pada try and error ke- 7 sehingga model diterima. Validasi dengan menggunakan Mean Absolute Percentage Error (MAPE) menghasilkan nilai 2,84 persen yang berarti bernilai sangat baik. Hasil running terhadap alternatif 1 berupa pelebaran median menjadi 2,45 meter menghasilkan nilai tundaan rata-rata sebesar 55.06 detik, kecepatan rata-rata sebesar 29.06 km/jam, dan waktu perjalanan sebesar 5.01 menit. Hasil running terhadap alternatif 2 berupa pelebaran median menjadi 2,45 meter dan penambahan laybay menghasilkan nilai tundaan rata-rata sebesar 98.90 detik, kecepatan rata-rata sebesar 29.07 km/jam waktu perjalanan sebesar 5.63 menit, Hasil running terhadap alternatif 3 berupa bentuk jalinan dengan lebar 13 meter menghasilkan nilai tundaan rata-rata sebesar 25.66 detik, kecepatan rata-rata sebesar 29.54 km/jam, waktu perjalanan sebesar 4.57 menit. Hasil perbandingan parameter kinerja lalu lintas menunjukan alternatif 3 menjadi rekomendasi terbaik yang menurunkan tundaan rata-rata sebesar 64 persen, meningkatkan kecepatan sebesar 7.2 persen dan menurunkan waktu perjalanan sebesar 18 persen.
