Abstract

Due to the increased population, accessibility from one place to another, and effort to support economic growth, the Indonesian Central Government plans to build 71 kilometers of Yogyakarta-Bawen Toll Road. It is, however, important to state that the technical requirements of a connecting road are an integral part of the toll road construction. Therefore, this research was conducted to determine the sufficient length for the connecting road between the toll gate and existing one to reduce the investment of Toll Road Business Entity and ensure a more extended return period of concession. The data used include the vehicle speed and daily traffic on the road while the maximum length value of vehicle queue occurring in the peak hour period and interval for each type of toll gate was calculated in the modeling simulation. The results showed the satellite gate with 4 lines has 159 meters, tandem with 2 lines has 434 meters, and extending with 3 lines has 513 meters. Since all the gates have less than 2 kilometers of queue length, the stretch of the connecting road in each toll of the plan needs to be analyzed to ensure effective development

Abstract

Flight operation delays occur if there are delays both on the ground and in the airspace. It happened while the demand for air traffic exceeded the available capacity. The aim of the study is to analyse the airspace capacity based on Air Traffic Controller’s workload to support safety, expeditious, and orderly flow of air traffic which are the responsibility of the ATC. Primary data in this analysis were obtained by observing the activities conducted by ATC when delivering services to the airspace sector for 1 hour during peak hours within 30 days. The secondary detailed used to help the study relate to the amount of flight during peak hours, weather conditions, and flight plans. The analytical method used to determine the airspace capacity shall be the Pessimistic Sector Capacity. The result indicated a theoretical capacity of 31 aircraft per hour and practical capacity of 25 aircraft per hour with ATC personnel working time of 33 minutes being included in the heavy load category.

Abstract

In the middle of social distancing imposed by the government of Indonesia to reduce the spread rate of COVID-19 virus, the use of bicycles has emerged as a new trend in various cities in Indonesia, one of which is the Special Region of Yogyakarta. However, the increasing growth of bicycle users are also directly proportional to the data on cyclists' accidents. One of the factors causing high number of accidents on cyclists is the human factor. The purpose of this study was to analyze the behavior of cyclists in the Special Region of Yogyakarta. The data used in the study were granted from questionnaires and field observations of cyclists. Descriptive analysis is used to describe the characteristics and behavior of cyclists. Samples were taken using purposive sampling method with a questionnaire resulting the number of respondents as many as 362 cyclists. The results showed that the behavior of cyclists in Special Region of Yogyakarta were quite good, but there are still a lot of cyclists that do not know about regulations governing road cycling safety. It was found that the use of safety equipment does not present traffic compliance.

Abstract

One of the pioneer flight route approved by Communication Ministry in 2018 is Batam-Rengat route. In progress, the pioneer route changed into commercial route, signed by initiation commercial company of Wings Air in August 2018. However, in August 2019, the Wings Air Company did not offer the route to the public. Finally, now, there is no flight service provided to the route, which is detrimental to people who need air transportation on that route. For the reason, it is needed to conduct research to express significance behind the closing event of the flight route. This study aimed to analyze the process of Batam-Rengat route progress from 2018 to 2019 and identify factors that affecting the closure of the Batam-Rengat flight route in 2019. Method used in this study was qualitative study with case study. Information was chosen according to specific criteria and data were collected by in-depth interview and secondary data request to relevant institutions/organizations. Hereinafter, interview data were reduced and classified according to specific themes. Furthermore, primary and secondary data were compiled into a unit to make description of activity event of Batam-Rengat route flight from 2018 to 2019. Times series analysis was used to find description of route progress process from the pioneer flight to commercial flight, and factors analysis was used to identify the factors affecting the route closure. The results of time series analysis indicate that the pioneer flight operated during six months from February 2018 to July 2018; then, along with the commercial flight for five months from August 2018 to December 2018. From January 2019 to June 2019, there was only one flight service, namely, commercial flight by the Wings Air. The results of factor analysis indicate the closure of the Batam-Rengat commercial route is influenced by passenger demand, flight schedules, airplane fares, and demand patterns. This study found other findings, namely the Japura-Padang flight route has good market potential and community/business participation efforts in Indragiri Hulu to help the occupancy rate of aircraft on the Batam-Rengat flight route

Abstract

Jalur Utara Pulau Jawa merupakan jalur penghubung pusat-pusat perekonomian besar di Pulau Jawa, hampir 85% pergerakan lalu lintas orang dan barang melalui lintas ini. Untuk mengurangi beban pada jalan nasional lintas utara Pulau Jawa, maka dibangunlah jalur ganda kereta api lintas utara Jawa yang mulai beroperasi pada tahun 2015. Kemudian pertanyaan muncul bagaimana kinerja angkutan barang melalui jalan darat dan jalur kereta api setelah beroperasinya jalur ganda kereta api lintas utara Jawa. Penelitian kinerja angkutan barang dilakukan dengan membandingkan waktu tempuh, biaya operasional antara moda jalan dan kereta api dari Jakarta menuju Surabaya berdasarkan studi literatur penelitian dan survei yang pernah dilakukan, sementara pengukuran kepuasan jasa pelayanan dilakukan menggunakan metode survei kuesioner secara online terhadap konsumen jasa pengiriman moda jalan dan kereta api, kemudian akan dianalisis menggunakan service quality, importance performance analysis, dan dimensi servqual. Hasil penelitian kinerja angkutan barang dalam segi waktu menunjukan moda jalan melalui jalan tol membutuhkan waktu perjalanan tercepat yaitu 10 jam, dan biaya operasional untuk mengangkut 800 ton barang menggunakan kereta api merupakan moda dengan biaya operasional terendah yaitu Rp. 506.336.000,-, sementara pengukuran kepuasan jasa pelayanan perusahaan angkutan jalan darat mempunyai nilai rata-rata servqual -0,356 dengan nilai Quality yang mendekati memuaskan, sehingga perlu perbaikan pelayanan pada 11 atribut faktor prioritas IPA dengan nilai Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI) dalam kategori puas, sementara pelayanan perusahaan angkutan kereta api mempunyai nilai rata-rata servqual -0,573 dengan nilai Quality yang mendekati memuaskan, sehingga perlu perbaikan pelayanan pada 11 atribut faktor prioritas IPA dengan nilai CSI dalam kategori cukup puas.

Abstract

Kecelakaan lalu lintas merupakan salah satu indikator utama kinerja keselamatan infrastruktur jalan. Permasalahan yang muncul adalah kecelakaan lalu lintas yang masih sangat tinggi terjadi di negara berkembang, khususnya di Indonesia. Di beberapa negara maju, upaya dalam maminimalkan jumlah kecelakaan terus dikembangkan, salah satu langkah awalnya adalah melakukan penelitian mengenai hubungan antara tingkat kecelakaan dan kondisi jalan/ lingkungan. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pola hubungan hasil penilaian keselamatan jalan berupa Road Protection Score (RPS) dengan tingkat kecelakaan. Pada penelitian ini, hubungan tingkat kecelakaan dan RPS ditinjau pada studi kasus ruas jalan Nasional Pantura dalam Kota Tegal, Provinsi Jawa Tengah. Dalam hal ini kondisi infrastruktur jalan dan lingkungan jalan diwakili oleh suatu nilai Road Protection Score (RPS) dan/atau Star Rating yang dikembangkan oleh International Road Assessment Programme (iRAP). Nilai RPS dihasilkan berdasarkan penilaian terhadap elemen-elemen jalan yang disimpulkan dalam suatu formulasi. Hubungan tingkat kecelakaan dan Star Rating di analisis dengan menggunakan teknik korelasi dan uji statistik untuk mengetahui kekuatan serta signifikansi hubungan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa hubungan yang terjadi antara tingkat kecelakaan dan Star Rating adalah sangat lemah. Hasil tersebut mengindikasi kondisi infrastruktur jalan dan lingkungan jalan memiliki dampak yang berbeda-beda terhadap resiko kecelakaan suatu lokasi jalan.

Abstract

State employees of Tanjungpinang consists of 4,303 people whose origins and destinations are spread throughout the city. This is the reason for the high travel demand where private vehicles are still superior to the other modes of choice. This adds to problems in environmental aspects, especially the contributors to air pollution and noise on the road. This study uses a quantitative method with descriptive analysis and spatial analysis. Descriptive analysis is used to identify existing employee travel characteristics. The graphic display presented in the results of the descriptive analysis aims to make it easier to explain the results of the analysis of the formation of zones, the number of trips in each zone, as well as the focus services and existing facilities. Spatial analysis is used to point to the edge of the location of existing facilities, and the ease of origin and destination of employee travel. The results of the study indicate that the current supply of services and facilities has not been able to accommodate the travel demand of state employees. The supply of transport services and facilities is still lacking because they only serve and available in several sub-districts which are the points of origin and destinations travel for employees. This caused low interest of employees by using green transport whose origin and destination areas are not covered and crossed by services. Therefore, it is necessary to request institutional-based travel demand management to encourage employees to travel using green transport in the form of policies, coordination, and cooperation within the internal scope of the Tanjungpinang city government.

Abstract

The Bakter Toll Road, which is managed by PT. Hutama Karya is a freeway that connects traffic movements between cities and provinces. The Bakter Toll Road has been operating for more than 3 years. However, so far no research has been conducted on whether the Bakter toll road has met the expectations of its users. Based on this, it is necessary to conduct a study on the analysis of road service satisfaction related to the services it provides. The data used are in the form of questionnaire data, observations of available toll road facilities, and data from related agencies. Sampling for the questionnaire used purposive sampling to 306 respondents online and offline. Based on the results of the analysis using the factor analysis method regarding the factors that influence the service performance of the Bakauheni-Terbanggi Besar toll road, it is known that there are 3 influencing factors, namely the facility factor 9.83 (44.68%), service factor 2.71 (12.32%) ) and a traffic flow performance factor of 1.42 (6.43%).

Abstract

In 2021, the population of motorized vehicles in DIY reached 3 million units of which 85% were motorcycles. The growth in the number of motorized vehicles results in increased congestion, pollution, and traffic accidents. To overcome transportation problems in Yogyakarta, in 2008 the government operated BRT (Bus Rapid Transit) based public transportation, Trans Jogja. However, various studies have shown that the load factor of Trans Jogja is very low. This study was conducted to see the characteristics of motorcyclist and latent factors of public transportation services that are prioritized by motorcycle users to switch modes to Trans Jogja. Primary data was obtained online and offline from 455 motorcycle users by answering a research questionnaire consisting of four sections, namely sociodemographic characteristics, travel characteristics and service factors that are prioritized to switch to Trans Jogja. Data analysis was conducted using descriptive methods, crosstab and factor analysis with SPSS. The results of the crosstab analysis show that the sociodemographic characteristics of respondents that correlate with the number of motorcycle ownership are age, income, pocket money, number of family members.Based on the factor analysis of public transport services prioritized by motorcycle users to switch to Trans Jogja, 4 latent factors were obtained, namely Trans Jogja service performance, transit experience, bus facilities and fees and parking.
