Abstract

Learning media is an important part of learning facilities and infrastructure in schools to help students not only learn abstractly but also concretely. According to Faizal (2010), learning media as audio and visual instruments are used to help the learning process become more interesting and arouse students' interest in exploring a material. However, in reality it is often found in schools that learning media is very limited and not many teachers are interested and creative in making learning media. They are many reasons such as limited funds, time, knowledge, and the reluctance of teachers to make learning media. Therefore it is necessary to equip teachers in making easy and cheap ICT-based learning media. This training was given to teachers at the YPAC school in Palembang who were in great need. The targets and outputs of this activity are to produce simple learning media for children with special needs and to train teachers' creativity in making and using these learning media. The basic training by a team of lecturers at the SI and PGSD Study Program at Musi Charitas Catholic University is the first step to stimulate interest and collaboration between teachers to be more creative in making simple ICT-based learning media as well as expanding teacher knowledge. The training is provided in the form of basic training in making simple learning media for children with special needs and how to use them in learning. The methods used are lectures, questions and answers, demonstrations, and experiments. Hopefully, all participants have sufficient skills to create learning media according to student characteristics.

Abstract

Mathematics is a special discipline that is often considered a difficult discipline by many people. Many people are afraid and try to avoid math. Mathematics requires special methods and tools so that math is interesting and not scary and students can achieve maximum and high quality learning outcomes. One of those tools is an instructional media that we call props. Basically, simple mathematical props do not have to buy and be expensive. Even elementary school children can be trained to make simple mathematical props so that their creativity is sharpened and math learning becomes more interesting. With experimental methods, lectures and discussions, children can be guided to make these simple mathematical props. It turns out that children can produce good props. Furthermore, mathematics lessons are more interesting and hope they master math with satisfying results.

Abstract

Untuk memahami perubahan zat yang terkandung dalam jenis substansi dan sifat zat maka perlu kajian mendalam terhadap konsep tersebut. Dalam konsep ini diharapkan dapat memahami perubahan objek seperti jenis zat dan karakteristik zat. Jenis zat dan karakteristik zat melalui perubahan fisik dan perubahan kimia serta sarana pemisahan terdiri dari dua atau lebih zat. Prinsip pemisahan campuran didasarkan pada perbedaan sifat fisik konstituennya, seperti zat, ukuran partikel, titik leleh, titik didih, sifat magnetik, kelarutan, dan sebagainya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan modul perubahan berbasis web pada objek yang valid, praktis, dan memiliki keefektifan hasil belajar siswa dan kegiatan pembelajaran ilmu alam. Percobaan dilakukan terhadap 30 anak di Sumatera Selatan. Kasus pengembangan modul pembelajaran perubahan objek dipengaruhi oleh pemahaman anak terhadap konsep. Diharapkan bisa diadaptasi oleh guru dunia.
