Abstract

The purpose of this study was to describe the results of a literature study on mathematical problem solving abilities in elementary schools. This research uses a qualitative descriptive study approach with the type of literature study research. This research is a literature study or library research that describes descriptively the mathematical problem solving abilities of students in elementary schools. The subjects of this study were elementary school students related to their ability to solve mathematical problems. The data sources for this research are secondary data obtained from scientific journals or articles related to the problems discussed. The data will be analyzed using descriptive analysis techniques. The results showed that students' mathematical problem solving abilities still tended to be low. Students have not achieved all of the problem solving indicators. The factors that influence students' mathematical problem solving abilities include prior knowledge, appreciation of mathematics, logical mathematical intelligence, experience, motivation, skills, self-confidence and teachers. Highlights: Students' mathematical problem solving abilities are low. Not all problem solving indicators are achieved. Factors influencing problem solving include prior knowledge, motivation, and teachers. Abstract

This study discusses the analysis of students' critical thinking skills through a problem-based learning model. With this, the researcher found a problem that needed to be researched. The problem is about how the results of a literature study on critical thinking skills of elementary school students through the use of problem-based learning models in science learning. This problem makes the researcher take a qualitative descriptive research approach using the literature study method. Sources of data obtained from journals, articles and other previous research. Sources of data taken in the study must be maximum within the last ten years. The results obtained from the research are that there are 15 previous studies with 35 total content of critical thinking indicators and there is relevance of the five critical thinking indicators in influencing the improvement of critical thinking skills of elementary school students through the use of problem-based learning models. Highlights: The study analyzes students' critical thinking skills through a problem-based learning model in science education. A qualitative descriptive research approach is employed, using literature studies from the past decade as the primary data source. The research reveals 15 previous studies with a total of 35 critical thinking indicators, emphasizing the relevance of five indicators in improving elementary school students' critical thinking skills through problem-based learning. Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the Experimental Method on cognitive learning outcomes in science learning at SDN Sawohan 1. The method used in this study is a quasi-experimental quantitative type of experiment with a Nonequivalent Control Group Design. Sampling using saturated sampling technique. The instrument used is a written test which is made according to the indicators of cognitive learning outcomes. Data collection in this research is by using pretest and posttest sheets. Data were analyzed using t-test and eta squared test. The results of the hypothesis test of the control class and the experimental class are 8.39 > 2.01 then H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted. So it can be seen that there is an effect of the experimental method to improve cognitive learning outcomes. In addition, the eta squared test results obtained a value of 0.08 with eta square criteria < 0.014, the result is that the experimental method has a moderate effect on improving students' cognitive learning outcomes in elementary schools

Abstract

This study aims to determine whether there is an effect of scan barcode based 3D Puzzle Media on Learning Outcomes in 5th Grade Students of SDN Krembung 1 Science Learning. This type of research is a quantitative experiment with the type of pre-experimental designs in the form of one-group pretest-posttest design. The instrument in this study uses pretest and posttest test instruments. The samples in this study were grade 5 students at SDN Krembung 1. The results showed that there was an effect of audio-visual-based 3D puzzle media on learning outcomes in science learning which was obtained t count = 2.052, then obtained t table 1729. Because 2,052 > 1,729 Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted, it means that there is a significant difference. From the calculation results of the normlized g > 0.70 test which interprets the high (high) effect of using audio-visual-based 3D puzzle media on learning outcomes in science learning. To find out how much influence scan barcode 3D puzzle media has on learning outcomes in science learning, 5th grade students of SDN Krembung 1 can see in the table n gain score % which interprets the use of puzzle media on learning outcomes in science learning as much as 70.71%.

Abstract

This reserch is motivated by the low learning outcomes of elementary school students after hybride learning are a new problem in the world of education, so there is a need for a solution to improve student learning outcomes. The purpose of this study was to determine the influence and improvement of learning outcomes of grade IV students at SDN Sidoarjo on the material properties of light. The use of the PBI model with a mind mapping method on science material is one of the effective ways to help students to understand the concept of science, so that the learning carried out is based on authentic problems in real life. Trianto (2011) PBI is a model that uses problems in everyday life so that students understand concepts not by memorizing but through their own discoveries. This research uses quantitative research methods for true experimental design experiments. The results of the hypothesis test study using the Independent Sample T-Test t test obtained a sig (α) < 0.05 (0.002 < 0.05). The percentage of increase in n-gain in the experimental class was 58% and the control class was 36%, so it can be concluded that there is a significant influence on the use of problem-based instruction models with the mind mapping method on the learning outcomes of grade IV students elementary school.

Abstract

This research is motivated by a conventional science learning model that is teacher-centered, so that the level of student learning activity is still low, learning activity is influenced by teachers who can stimulate students to be more active in learning, discussing, expressing opinions, curiosity, seeking information. new (Zaeni 2017, Hidayah 2017). This study aims to determine the effect and how much influence the TGT learning model assisted by audio-visual media has on science learning activities at SDN Kepunten Tulangan for the 2021/2022 academic year. This study uses a quantitative research method of pre-experimental design, one-shot case study which is given posttest treatment, to determine the effect and magnitude of the influence the researcher uses the t-test one sample t- test to determine the effect of the TGT learning model assisted by audio-visual media on student learning activities. which obtained a significant value (2 – tailed) of 0.023 <0.05, and a tcount of 4.333 > ttable 2.04523, so it can be concluded that there is a positive and significant effect of the TGT learning model assisted by audio-visual media on student learning activities at SDN Kepunten Tulangan. In the F and R square tests to find out how much influence the TGT learning model has, the significant value is 0.00 < 0.05 and the R Square value is 0.929 or equal to 92%, which means that the TGT learning model assisted by audio-visual media has a major influence, namely 92% on student learning activity. So in conclusion, the TGT learning model assisted by audio-visual media on science learning activities for class V at SDN Kepunte has an effect of 92%.

Abstract

This research was conducted to analyze the effect of the make a match cooperative learning model on students' learning motivation. Motivation to learn is important in the learning process because with motivation to learn, individuals can have goals and enthusiasm for learning. The make a match type cooperative learning model is a learning model that invites students to look for answers to a question or pair of a concept through a pair card game. The research method used is a one group pretest-posttest design. The experimental group will be given a treatment, namely the application of the make a match model to the material of the solar system. Whereas the control class was not given treatment, but it was given another method, namely the lecture and question and answer method. After that, a post test is given, using a questionnaire sheet at the final stage in order to find out how much influence the make a match learning model has on students' learning motivation in the solar system material. Based on the analysis carried out, it can be concluded that there is an influence of the make a match type cooperative learning model on student learning motivation. This can be seen from the increased learning motivation of students in the high N-Gain category after being given learning with this model.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the influence of the interactive picture and picture learning model on improving students' learning motivation in elementary school science. The author used quantitative research, which involved the entire class V A population at Oro-Oro Ombo Wetan 1 Elementary School in the academic year 2022-2023. The research method used was Pre Experimental Design with a non-pure experimental model (one-shot case study). Data collection was conducted using a questionnaire to measure the increase in students' learning motivation in class V A. For data analysis, the independent variable (x) was the interactive picture and picture learning model, while the dependent variable (y) was the improvement in students' learning motivation. The analysis used was the one-sample t-test, with a significance level of 5% (0.05), resulting in a significant t-value (2-tailed) of 0.006. Therefore, the obtained significance value of t 0.006 < 0.05 means that the null hypothesis (H0) is rejected, and the alternative hypothesis (Ha) is accepted. Hence, there is an influence of the interactive picture and picture model on improving students' learning motivation in elementary school science at Oro-Oro Ombo Wetan 1 Elementary School in class V A.

Abstract

This research aims to determine student activeness by implementing the problem-based learning model in elementary school science education. It is a quantitative research study with the entire 5B class population. The design used in this study is a one-shot case study, and data collection involved using observation sheets to measure student activeness. The subjects of this research are 31 students from class 5B at SDN Oro-Oro Ombo Wetan 1. Data collection utilized validity tests, reliability tests, tests for prerequisite analysis of normality, and the results of the T-test (One-Sample Statistics) with a significance level of 5% (0.05), yielding a significant t-value (2-tailed) of 0.004. Based on the validity results, all 30 observation items and 31 student responses were deemed valid. The reliability test indicated reliability, and the normality test confirmed that the residual values were normally distributed. The t-test result showed that the significance value of student activeness was 0.004, less than 0.05. Therefore, the null hypothesis (H0) was rejected, and the alternative hypothesis (Ha) was accepted. This means that there is an influence of the problem-based learning model on student activeness in science learning. If this model is implemented in elementary schools, it will positively impact student activeness and engagement in the learning process.

Abstract

The research is motivated by the low understanding of students concepts in terms of the percentage of ability on each indicator which is below 50% of each student class V. This research was conducted to find out whether there s an influence of the mind mapping method on students understanding of concepts and to find out how much students understanding conceptual class V has on the use of the mind mapping method in science subjects about changes in the from of objects. The method in this study used a quasi-experimental design with nonequivalent control grup design. The population in this study class V at SDN Cangkringmalang II. The instrument used in this study was a three-tier multiple choice (TTMC) diagnostic test. Testing the analysis requirements for the normality test using the Kolmogorov smirno technique and homogeneity test. Testing the hypothesis in this study used the t-test and the results obtained were tcound > ttable (5,887 > 1,674) which means the hypothesis (Ha) in this study was accepted. Learning by using the mind mapping method can have an influence on students' understanding of the concept of material changes in class V objects at SDN Cangkringmalang II.
