Abstract

The program of the empowerment of the women living in Mataram City implemented inthe form of life skills including vocational skill, social skill, and personal skill has been carriedout since 2001. In reality, the attempts already made could not improve the well-being of thewomen in Mataram City in general and the women living along the coastal area of Ampenan,South Ampenan District and Banjar District in particular. Based on the background mentionedabove, the researcher was interested in exploring the effectiveness of the program of theempowerment provided in the form life skills. Three problems are formulated in this research.They are (1) how effective the implementation of the empowerment program of the womenresiding at the coastal area of Ampenan District was?; (2) what factors contributed to theeffectiveness of the empowerment program of the women residing at the coastal area?; (3) whatwere the effects and meanings of the effectiveness of the empowerment program of the womenresiding at the coastal area? The theories employed to answer the problems formulated above arethe theory of post feminism by Ann Brooks, the theory of social practice by Bourdieu and thetheory of power/knowledge by Foucault. The theories were eclectically applied. The qualitativemethod was employed in this study and the data needed were collected by the techniques ofobservation, in-depth interview, Focus Group Discussion (hereon abbreviated to FGD),documentation and library research.The results of the study show that (1) the program of the empowerment of the womenliving in the coastal area was ineffective; (2) the factors which contributed to the effectivenessof the empowerment of the women living along the coastal area are economic capital, culturalcapital, socio culture and symbolic culture; (3) the effects of the effectiveness of theempowerment program were on the skills acquired, the income earned, the independenceacquired, the environment where they live and their pattern of consumerism. The meanings feltby one third of the women empowered were the meaning of awareness, the meaning ofsolidarity, and the meaning of being independent.In relation to this research, several things are suggested; (1) it is necessary to continue theempowerment program for the women living at the coastal area with the development ofpersonal and social skills as the priority; (2) it is necessary for the government to build a qualitytechnological, informational and communicative network in the form of educative informationalcenters at the coastal area; (4) it is time to establish vocational schools, which are accessible tothe local people, starting from the basic level to middle level in which skills how to managecoastal areas and sea would be provided. If it is possible, such schools should be free of charge;(5) further research needs to be conducted to understand the characteristics of the women livingalong the coastal area of Ampenan.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendapatkan gambaran yang jelas mengenai hubungan kualitas layanan, kepuasan mahasiswa dan loyalitas mahasiswa di STAHN Gde Pudja Mataram, yang dilatar belakangi karena adanya peningkatan jumlah mahasiswa dan juga tingkat loyalitas mahasiswa yang tinggi kepada STAHN Gde Pudja Mataram sedangkan layanan yang diberikan masih banyak memiliki kekurangan. Jika dilihat dari konsep loyalitas, maka seharusnya ketika mahasiswa loyal berarti mahasiswa puas akan kualitas layanan yang diberikan oleh perguruan tinggi terkait. Maka dengan demikian, timbul pertanyaan bahwa dari berbagai layanan yang diberikan oleh STAHN Gde Pudja Mataram yang masih memiliki kekurangan, sudahkan memenuhi tingkat kepuasan mahasiswa? sehingga mahasiswa mampu memberikan loyalitas yang tinggi pada STAHN Gde Pudja Mataram. Adapun jenis penelitian yang digunakan yaitu jenis penelitian kuantitatif. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa STAHN Gde Pudja Mataram, dengan jumlah sampel 85 orang, serta pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik stratifield random sampling. Dalam penelitian ini teknik yang digunakan untuk mengumpulkan data yaitu observasi, kuesioner dan dokumentasi. Selanjutnya data yang telah terkumpul dianalisis dengan menggunakan teknik analisis jalur. Hasil penelitian yang diperoleh yaitu : (1) kualitas layanan berpengaruh langsung positif secara signifikan terhadap kepuasan mahasiswa dengan koefisien sebesar 0,435, (2) kualitas layanan berpengaruh langsung positif secara signifikan terhadap loyalitas mahasiswa dengan koefisien sebesar 0,251, (3) kepuasan mahasiswa berpengaruh langsung positif secara signifikan terhadap loyalitas mahasiswa dengan koefisien sebesar 0,215 serta, (4) kualitas layanan berpengaruh tidak langsung secara signifikan terhadap loyalitas mahasiswa melalui kepuasan mahasiswa di STAHN Gde Pudja Mataram dengan koefisien sebesar 0,094.

Abstract

The aim of this study is to analyze the benefits of group communication in building farmers' perceptions of the AUTP program; to analyze the factors that influence group communication in building farmers' perceptions of the AUTP program; and to analyze how to encourage effective group communication in building farmers' perceptions of the AUTP Program in West Lombok Regency. This study uses a descriptive method with a qualitative approach. Data were collected through observation: observations and interview methods. Analysis of the research data showed that 66,7% of farmers gave a positive perception of the AUTP program because of the establishment of effective communication within the group so as to increase the confidence of farmers (based on the assessment of 73,3% of farmers). As many as 66% of farmers considered that experienced extension workers have the ability to build group communication so that they can build positive farmer perceptions of the AUTP program. The intense knowledge transfer process from the extension workers takes place in group communication so that it stimulates stimulation to farmers and causes a response in the form of a very good perception of the AUTP program.

Abstract

Pasraman is a Hindu education system which aims to give birth to the younger generation who is not only a candidate in religious knowledge, but also has a noble character. One of the learning held by most of the pasraman is yoga learning as an effort to raise awareness of health and form of students character. Referring to that background, the writer conducted a study related to yoga learning that focused on planning, implementing, evaluating, and characters formed through yoga learning at Pasraman Samiaga Mataram. This research was conducted using qualitative methods with descriptive qualitative data analysis. Data obtained from observation, interview, documentation, and checking data validity carried out with credibility, transferability, dependability, and confirmability. This research supported by behavioristic theory, Burner learning theory and theory of learning connectionism. This study shown that yoga learning planning carried out by instructor by determining the learning objectives, designing learning materials, and determine the learning schedule. In the implementation of yoga learning is done gradually and at each stage tugged the strengthening of the character for the students. As for the stages of yoga learning at Pasraman Samiaga Mataram includes preparation stage, appetite prayer, stretching, surya namaskara, asanas, acro yoga, relaxation, and prayer cover. The evaluation of yoga learning which is carried out includes evaluation of process and evaluation of results are overseeing the development of each student’s ability, carry out assessment at each meeting, and held a yoga race in the pasraman. The characters formed through yoga learning at Pasraman Samiaga Mataram includes religious character, discipline character, the characters are responsible, character appreciate achievement, character of curiosity and independent character.
