Abstract

AbstractREVISITING GOD IN THE SPACE OF ‘LOCAL WISDOM’ (EFFORTS TO FORMULATE THE CONTEMPORARY PHILOSOPHY OF DIVINITY). The discourse about God should be seen in the history of human civilization as a whole, not partial and piecemeal, and not also only in the perspective of the West or the East alone. A civilization that narrows the space of reasoning, which is instrumental, will percieve God in similar way. The results is the emergence of nihilism, absurdity, and even atheism on the existence of God. This article discusses the concept of God in the local chamber of wisdom with a philosophical approach. In the ‘local wisdom’ understandings, reasoning God is not just reasoning an sich by allowing the ratio walks alone. It must be coupled with other potentials- such as : taste, zauq, emotion and so on,- so that the reasoning process will be in balance. This as it appears in the divinity teachings of the Java community which can be categorized as a monotheistic culture. Reasoning of God may only be done if the human reasoning process intertwinedly involves all the potentials- rational space, zauq space, emotional space,- and recognize both the locality and the historicity of human existence itself.Kata Kunci : Genealogi; Transendensi; Immanensi; Positivisme; Local Wisdom.

Abstract

The research constitutes an analysis on the conflict between community in Ujungpangkah, Gresik, East Java and a gas company, PT Aramada Hess (now PGN Saka Energy Indonesia). The research aims at finding a conflict resolution model that is distinctive, appropriate, and successful. To support the qualitative research, data collection methods use purposive sampling, participatory observation techniques, in-depth interviews and document reviews.  The collected data are analysed with the theory of mapping C.R. SIPPABIO. The theory under which the researcher applying to understand the role of Ujungpangkah religious leaders in resolving conflicts between the community and PGN Saka Energy Indonesia. As a result, it is found that: 1) public leaders are derived from various groups (fishermen, fishpond entrepreneurs and Islamic boarding school leaders) who positively resolve the conflict; 2) the intervention method is used as conflict resolution with a negotiation model; 3) Ujungpangkah religious leaders become social cohesion in this open conflict.

Abstract

Diskursus tentang Tuhan semestinya harus dilihat dalam sejarah peradaban manusia secara utuh, tidak parsial dan sepotong-potong, dan tidak juga hanya dalam perspektif Barat atau Timur saja. Sebuah peradaban yang mempersempit ruang gerak penalaran yang bersifat instrumental akan menalar Tuhan dengan cara yang sama. Implikasinya, terjadi nihilisme, absurditas, dan bahkan ateisme atas keberadaan Tuhan. Artikel ini membahas tentang konsep ketuhanan dalam ruang lokal wisdom dengan pendekatan filosofis. Dalam pemahaman ‘local wisdom’, menalar Tuhan bukan hanya sekedar menalar an sich dengan membiarkan rasio berjalan sendirian. Ia harus dibarengi dengan potensi-potensi lain seperti rasa, zauq, emosi dan seterusnya, sehingga dalam proses penalarannya berjalan dengan seimbang. Hal ini sebagaimana yang nampak dalam ajaran ketuhanan masyarakat Jawa yang bisa dikategorikan sebagai monoteistik kultural. Penalaran terhadap Tuhan hanya mungkin dan bisa dilakukan jika dalam proses penalaran tersebut manusia melibatkan segala potensi, ruang rasio, ruang zauq, ruang emosi, secara berkelindan dan terkait, serta menyadari lokalitas dan historisitas keberadaan manusia itu sendiri.

Abstract

The post structuralism approach is no longer a conventional approach. The emergence of this new approach was not only to respond to structuralism, but also to answer the bluntness of the old approach which was barely able to read the very complex reality and to break down the so complicatedly cultural lines. What al-Jabiri practises in dismantling the nature of Arabic reasoning is his experiment in examining the Arab community reasoning. Interestingly, in practicing the post-structuralism approach, al-Jabiri does not only immediately practice it, but he reconstructs the post-structuralism approach by borrowing others for sharper analysis. It means that the post-structuralism approach is not the final approach. However, criticism and development are needed to achieve the establishment of theory.The foundation of the first theory of this research stems from Foucault's idea of archeology-genealogy of knowledge. The foundation of the next theory that the author takes from Foucault's thinking is about discourse. This research is entirely library research; therefore, the first step that researchers did is to collect primary data, especially data related to the focus of this research. The data analysis phase was carried out using the following methods: method of interpretation, analysis and historical.The results of the research indicate that the advantages of the post-structuralism approach are the methodological implications of very different readings and producing something else and new. The results are quite astonishing that al-Jabiri is able to examine the logic of Arabic construction and find the character of reasoning that had been thinkable and unthinkable. The post-structuralism approach is ultimately able to distinguish the nature of the Arab community's reasoning which can be distinguished into forming and formed reasoning.

Abstract

Small-scale farmers in Tlogosari, Pagak, Malang have many limitations, especially economically. Instead of wanting to improve economic prosperity, small-scale farmer makes changes to the commodities they grow from sugar cane to sengon (Paraserianthes falcataria (L) or albizia). But the change in this commodity has an impact on changing the pattern of short to long harvests. This condition has increasingly resulted in the economic downturn of the farming family, coupled with the existence of the COVID-19 pandemic, making farmers increasingly powerless. This research focuses on the survival mechanism of small-scale farmers who switch commodities from sugar cane to sengon during the COVID-19 pandemic. This study uses James Scott's theory of the ethics of subsistence as a knife of analysis and uses a qualitative approach with a case study method. The research informants were determined by purposive sampling with the criteria of small-scale farmer informants who were affected by the COVID-19 pandemic due to the change of sugarcane commodity to sengon. The price of sengon during the COVID-19 pandemic dropped dramatically due to many factories closed, so farmers are also confused looking for sengon buyers. This condition makes small-scale farmers feel like poor famine. Faced with such conditions, smallholders do survival by other work, namely making gatot, tiwul, and corn grits (ampok) as a profitable employment opportunity in the future of COVID-19

Abstract

Pemaknaan Komunitas Sobat Ambyar terhadap Lagu Didi Kempot sebagai Nilai-Nilai Penguatan Karakter. Karakter adalah watak atau akhlak seseorang yang diperoleh dari internalisasi dengan lingkungannya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menjelaskan pemaknaan anggota Komunitas Sobat Ambyar terhadap lagu Didi Kempot serta menjelaskan bagaimana peran pemaknaan tersebut dalam mempengaruhi karakter mereka. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan fenomenologi. Data diperoleh melalui wawancara dengan 5 orang anggota Komunitas  Sobat Ambyar. Teknik analisis data menggunakan metode analisis data Stevick-Colaizzi-Keen. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan terdapat tiga tipe pemaknaan anggota Komunitas Sobat Ambyar terhadap lagu Didi Kempot. Ketiga pemaknaan tersebut adalah, sebagai sumber kekuatan dalam menghadapi keadaan sedih, sumber motivasi untuk bangkit dari kegagalan serta pengingat dalam kehidupan. Pemaknaan tersebut kemudian mengandung nilai – nilai positif, seperti nilai keikhlasan dan nilai kekuatan. Nilai – nilai tersebut kemudian turut membangun karakter pribadi anggota komunitas menjadi lebih bijaksana, lebih kuat serta tidak mudah menyerah.

Abstract

Hasil kajian Badan Nasional Penanggulangan Terorisme (BNPT) dan SETARA Institute mencatat bahwa Universitas Brawijaya menjadi salah satu kampus yang terpapar paham radikal (Alenia.id, 2020). Hal ini menjadi alasan kuat bagi Tim Dosen Pusat Matakuliah Pengembangan Kepribadian (PMPK) Universitas Brawijaya membuat design pendidikan karakter yang menanamkan dan membiasakan sikap toleransi bagi para mahasiswanya melalui pendidikan toleransi yang disebut MORAL Camp (Merawat Religiusitas, Rasionalitas, dan Literasi). Kegiatan diselenggarakan di Desa Sukodadi, Kecamatan Wagir, Kabupaten Malang pada tahun 2018 dan 2019. Penulisan artikel bertujuan menganalisis efektivitas kegiatan MORAL Camp dalam membangun karakter toleran pada mahasiswa Universitas Brawijaya. Penelitian menggunakan metode penelitian kuantitatif, dengan pengambilan data menyebarkan angket kepada mahasiswa peserta MORAL Camp. Teknik analisis data menggunakan kriteria penafsiran skala likert. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sikap toleran yang ditunjukkan oleh alumni peserta MORAL Camp masih berada pada tahap toleransi pasif, yakni toleransi yang berada di level pemakluman pada orang lain yang berbeda dengan dirinya.

Abstract

Teori sebelumnya menyatakan bahwa syarat untuk mengatakan makna benar di dalam sebuah pernyataan ilmiah adalah verifikasi. Popper dengan falsifikasinya mensyaratkan uji kesalahan dalam menentukan dasar-dasar atau hukum-hukum ilmu pengetahuan, sedangkan Feyerabend menolak pendapat-pendapat tersebut. Metode penelitian yang digunakan yakni library research dengan desain library research. Paradigma penelitian yang sesuai dengan masalah dan tujuan penelitian yakni paradigma pragmatis. Desain library research deskriptif. Anarkisme epistemologi Feyerabend, antara lain: (1) Anti Metode, Prinsip apa saja boleh memperolehkan semua metode dan teori untuk digunakan dengan harapan akan memuncukan suatu perdebatan yang dinamis dan akan mewujudkan pengembangbiakan pengetahuan. (2) Anti Sains, Feyerabend mengkritik sains yang terlalu mengabaikan realitas keragaman pengalaman lapangan. (3) Kontra Induksi (counterinduction), induksi sebagai sebuah metode selalu mengabaikan fakta-fakta yang tidak mendukung teorinya. Maka untuk mengatasi kekurangan prinsip verifikasi dan falsafikasi ini prosedur kontra induksi diajukan. (4) Prinsip Pengembangan (proliferation), sebuah hipotesa atau teori baru tidak harus memenuhi seluruh elemen dari teori lama karena hal tersebut hanya akan menyebabkan teori lama dipertahankan dari pada mencari teori yang benar. dan (5) Incommensurability, mengacu pada hubungan dari dua atau lebih teori yang saling berkompetisi dan saling menjatuhkan satu dengan yang lain.
