Abstract

AbstrakTelah dilakukan penelitian tentang analisis kemampuan penyelesaian soal kimia berbasis makroskopik dan simbolik pada materi hukum dasar dan perhitungan kimia di kelas X SMA Negeri 1 Indrapuri. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kemampuan siswa kelas X SMA Negeri 1 Indrapuri dalam menyelesaikan soal berbasis makroskopik dan simbolik pada materi hukum dasar dan perhitungan kimia. Jenis penelitian adalah penelitian deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Subjek dalam penelitian yaitu siswa kelas X IPA 1 yang berjumlah 24 siswa dari 8 siswa laki-laki dan 16 siswa perempuan yang diambil menggunakan teknik nonprobability sampling dengan tipe purposive sampling. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian yaitu soal tes multiple choice dan rubrik penilaian. Data diperoleh dengan cara menganalisis jawaban siswa dalam mengerjakan soal tes. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan persentase rata-rata kemampuan makroskopik dan simbolik siswa secara berurutan sebesar 62,5% dan 50,0%. Hasil analisis dapat disimpulkan bahwa (1) kemampuan makroskopik siswa lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan kemampuan simbolik, (2) kemampuan simbolik siswa masih rendah dalam hal konsep mol dan menyederhanakan soal, (3) Pemahaman makroskopik siswa lebih lama disimpan dalam memori dan siswa lebih mudah mengingat konsep makroskopik (4) pemahaman level simbolik siswa lebih baik jika sejalan dengan perhitungan matematis siswa. Kata Kunci :makroskopik, simbolik, hukum dasar dan perhitungan kimia  AbstractThe research has been done to analysis of macroscopic and symbolic based chemistry problems solving skill on basic law material and chemistry calculation in 10th grade class of SMAN 1 Indrapuri. This research is purposed to analyse the ability of 10th grader student of SMAN 1 Indrapuri. In solving macroscopic dan symbolic based chemistry and chemistry calculation problem. The kind of research used is a descriptive research wit qualitative approach. Subjects in this research of the class X science 1 with total 24 students, consisting of 8 male students and 16 female students which was taken using nonprobability sampling technique with purposive sampling type. The instrument which is used in this research are multiple choice question test and marking column. The data were obtained by analyzing student’s answer in  solving the test questions. The result of the research showed that the macroscopic and symbolic skill’s average percentage of the students are consecutively 62,5% and 50%. According to the result of the research, it was concluded that (1) student’s macroscopic skill are hiher than their symbolic skill, (2) student’s symbolic skills are still low in the concept of mole and in standardizing problem’s, (3) student’s macroscopic understanding took longer to be memorized and it’s easier for student’s to remember the macroscopic concept, (4) the symbolic level understanding of the student is better if it’s parallel with student’s mathematical calculation. Keywords: macroscopic, symbolic, basic law and chemistry calculation

Abstract

Abstrak: Telah dilakukan penelitian yang berjudul Pengembangan Lembar Kerja Peserta Didik (LKPD) Berbasis Predict-Observe-Explain (POE) pada Materi Redoks di Kelas X SMAN 5 Banda Aceh. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan proses pengembangan, menganalisis kelayakan, mendeskripsi tanggapan guru dan peserta didik terhadap LKPD berbasis POE. Rancangan penelitian menggunakan model ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation). Sampel penelitian yaitu peserta didik kelas X/IA4 sebanyak 23 orang yang terdiri dari 9 laki-laki dan 14 perempuan. Instrumen yang digunakan berupa lembar penilaian kelayakan LKPD, angket tanggapan guru dan peserta didik. Berdasarkan hasil validasi oleh ketiga validator ahli diperoleh nilai persentase sebesar 86,30% dengan penilaian pada masing-masing komponen yaitu Isi 91,66% (sangat layak), Penyajian 81,25% (sangat layak), Kebahasaan 80,55% (sangat layak), Kegrafisan 91,66% (sangat layak). Tanggapan positif guru diperoleh persentase sebesar 84, 375% (sangat baik) dan tanggapan peserta didik diperoleh hasil 84,14% (sangat baik). Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa LKPD berbasis POE dapat dilakukan dengan menggunakan 5 tahapan, LKPD berbasis POE memiliki kelayakan dengan kriteria sangat layak, guru dan peserta didik senang menggunakan LKPD berbasis POE pada proses pembelajaran redoks.Kata Kunci: LKPD, POE, Redoks, dan ADDIE Abstract: A study was conducted entitled Development of Predict-Observe-Explain (POE) Based Student Work Sheet (LKPD) on Redox Material in Class X SMAN 5 Banda Aceh. This study aims to describe the process of developing, analyzing feasibility, descriptive responses of teachers and learners to POE-based LKPD. The research design using the ADDIE method consists of 5 stages, namely (1) Analysis (analysis); (2) Design (design); (3) Development (development); (4) Implementation (implementation); (5) Evaluation (evaluation). The sample of research is the students of class X / IA4 as many as 23 people consisting of 9 men and 14 women. Instruments used in the form of LKPD feasibility assessment sheets, questionnaire responses of teachers and learners. Based on the validation result by the three expert validator, the percentage value is 86.30% with the assessment on each component that is 91.66% (very feasible), 81.25% (very feasible), linguistic 80,55% (very feasible), Chart 91.66% (very feasible). The teacher's positive response was obtained by the percentage of 84, 375% (very good) and the learners' responses obtained were 84.14% (very good). Based on the result of the research, it can be concluded that POE based LKPD can be done by using 5 stages, POE based LKPD has feasibility with criteria very feasible, teachers and learners are happy to use POE based LKPD on redox learning process.

Abstract

Abstrak.Telah dilakukan penelitian tentang penerapan model pembelajaran Learning Starts With a Question (LSQ) untuk meningkatkan kemampuan bertanya dan hasil belajar siswa pada materi koloid di kelas XI SMA Negeri 7 Banda Aceh. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kemampuan bertanya, aktivitas, dan hasil belajar siswa dengan menggunakan model LSQ. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian kualitatif deskriptif. Subjek penelitian berjumlah 27 orang yang terdiri dari 13 siswa dan 14 siswi. Teknik pengumpulan data diperoleh dari tes hasil belajar, aktivitas dan kemampuan bertanya siswa. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah soal tes, lembar aktivitas dan lembar observasi kemampuan bertanya. Hasil analisis data diperoleh nilai rata-rata kemampuan bertanya siswa pada pertemuan I sebesar 59.24 dengan kategori cukup baik dan pertemuan II sebesar 66.66 termaksuk kategori cukup baik, persentase rata-rata aktivitas siswa yaitu sebesar 87,49% pada pertemuan I termaksuk dalam kategori baik dan 96,79% pada pertemuan II termasuk dalam kategori sangat baik, dan persentase ketuntasan dari soal tes hasil belajar yaitu sebesar 92,59% termasuk dalam kategori sangat tinggi. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah penerapan model LSQ pada materi koloid dapat membuat kemampuan bertanya siswa kategori cukup baik, berdampak positif terhadap aktivitas pembelajaran siswa, dan mendapatkan ketuntasan hasil belajar dengan kategori sangat tinggi.Kata kunci: koloid, kemampuan bertanya, hasil belajar, model LSQ AbstractResearch of the application of Learning Starts with a Question (LSQ) model in colloid subject in class XI SMA Negeri 7 Banda Aceh has conducted. This research aims to analyze the ability to ask, student activity, and student learning outcomes by using the LSQ model. This research used descriptive qualitative type. The subject of the research amounted to 27 students consist of 13 males and 14 females. The technique of collection data  got from the test of learning outcomes, activity and the ability to ask of students. The instruments of this research are test questions, activity sheets, questioning ability of observation sheets. The techniques of data analysis used are activity, observation of ability to ask and test  student's learning outcomes. The result of the average percentage of student's activity on first meeting is 59,24%, which is categorized as good enough and 66,66% on the second meeting which is categorized as good, average percentage of ability to ask is 87,49% at first which is categorized as good and 96,79% on second meeting which is categorized as very good, percentage of test student's is 92,59% which is categorized as very good. The conclusion of this research is appliciation of LSQ model on colloid subject categorized the ability to ask of the students as good enough, gave positive impact to student's activity in learning process, and gave mastery of learning outcomes which is categorized as very good.Keywords: colloid, ablity to ask, learning outcomes, LSQ model

Abstract

ABSTRACTA research study entitled "Application of Science Environment Technology and Society (SETS) based learning approach on Food Additives Matter in Class VIII SMPN 15 Banda Aceh". The purpose of this study was to analyze the students 'early understanding of additives, to describe learners' activities during the learning process using SETS approach, to analyze students 'learning outcomes after the SETS approach was applied and to analyze the learners' responses to the learning using SETS approach. The type of research conducted in this research is quantitative research with descriptive method. The sample of this study students class VIII-1, amounting to 21 people consisting of 7 women and 14 men. Data collection techniques in this study by way of questionnaire initial understanding of learners about additive substances, observation of learning activities of learners, learning outcomes and questionnaire responses of learners to the application of SETS approach. The instrument used in this research is the questionnaire of students' initial understanding about additive, activity observation sheet, LKPD, test question and questionnaire of student's response to SETS approach. Early understanding of the students about additive is still in low category, especially sub topic on the characteristics of additives. The average result of observation of the students activity as a whole is 80.5%. The results showed the results of students' learning mastery of 87.62% .. The results of classical positive student responses to the teaching-learning process with the application of SETS approach of 85.03%. Keywords: learning outcomes, additives, SETS approach. ABSTRAKTelah dilakukan penelitian untuk menganalisis pemahaman awal peserta didik tentang zat aditif, mendeskripsikan aktivitas peserta didik selama proses pembelajaran menggunakan pendekatan SETS, menganalisis hasil belajar peserta didik setelah diterapkan pendekatan SETS dan menganalisis respon peserta didik terhadap pembelajaran menggunakan penerapan pendekatan SETS. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif dengan metode deskriptif. Sampel penelitian adalah peserta didik kelas VIII-1 yang berjumlah 21 orang terdiri dari 7 orang perempuan dan 14 orang laki-laki. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah lembar angket pemahaman awal peserta didik tentang zat aditif, lembar observasi aktivitas peserta didik, LKPD, soal tes dan angket tanggapan peserta didik terhadap pendekatan SETS. Hasil penelitian ini adalah Pemahaman awal peserta didik tentang zat aditif masih dalam kategori rendah khususnya sub topik pada ciri-ciri zat aditif. Hasil rata-rata observasi aktivitas peserta didik secara keseluruhan sebesar 80,5%. Kesimpulan dari  Hasil penelitian ini adalah menunjukkan hasil ketuntasan belajar peserta didik sebesar 87,62%.. Hasil tanggapan peserta didik secara klasikal positif terhadap proses belajar-mengajar dengan penerapan pendekatan SETS sebesar 85,03%. Kata kunci: hasil belajar, zat aditif, pendekatan SETS, makanan.
